Posting on behalf of @reastie hope you don’t mind 🎄 🎅

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.
It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.
Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!
@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps
A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:
It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
No affiliate links
No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
Be nice or leave
If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes
The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.
To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk
Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)
So starhellostar would look like this.
hello
Obviously use the * not the word star
Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work
Stock informer is a handy site ^http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/default.aspx?fullsite=1^

@sunshine415 I saw someone collecting them in Argos today and thought "why have I heard of beyblade??" Clearly because of this chat!

Omgwhatthehell · 10/12/2024 18:25

Just leaving details of this set at Argos here for anyone else looking for Magna-tiles.
DS has a set of plainer ones already.
This jungle set with little animals for £20 seems good value considering they are normally pretty pricey.

Thank @rhubarbhandsoap @GiveMeAbitOfSugar that has been most helpful, a great idea to ask the coaches, who knew there was so much to consider I am so glad I asked now

Any idea of crackers which would be particularly enjoyed by small children?

I've bought some from Asda which have wind up racing reindeer in £6 for 6!

Rubyroo73 · 10/12/2024 18:36

Does anyone have any suggestions for sites in Portugal that can send gifts? Thinking a bottle of wine or consumables? Uk sites I’ve seen are a bit £££!
thanks

I have got my mum Glaize ‘stick on’ nails to try.. I haven’t used them so cannot tell you how good they are but for £12 a set felt less risky..
Edited to add that They arrived the next day

Edited

@Fucktheapp I have a referral code for glaize where we both get £5 off - I’ll pop it on the referrals thread if you want to use it 💛

Mistletones · 10/12/2024 18:40

Inspired by another thread. I’m looking for a wooden Christmas Eve box, ideally a personalised one. I’ve never had one before so could wait until after Christmas if they’re likely to go down in price, but I suspect actually they may just stop selling them, does anyone know?

I have to say a huge thanks to the poster/s who recommended the loungewear from Sock Shop. I dithered for a while then put in an order of loungewear (for me) and socks (for the family).

After I bought it was having buyer's regret thinking 'I really don't need any of this' but it arrived today and oh my gawwwdddd the lounge wear is incredibly soft and comfortable! Am now considering another order... Apologies I have no idea who posted it originally but thank you!

Babynumberthreeee · 10/12/2024 19:35

@marshmallowbum They sell both, they're clearly marked uv and non uv (also the non uv ones are around £4 and the uv ones are £12+)

I can put a referral on the referrals board but not sure if they're first time offer is better, I won't be offended if it is! 😉

Orangeoranges42 · 10/12/2024 19:41

Sorry to be this person but I don’t know where else to ask…

I'm looking for teasmade? Kettle with timer?
OH goes to work at 4 in the morning and it would be nice to have the kettle boiled for when he goes downstairs. We also do need a new kettle so trying to tie in the hard to buy Christmas off.

thanks in advance!

beetr00 · 10/12/2024 19:48

@Orangeoranges42 you could just schedule a smart plug for your kettle?

I bought a plain box from hobbycraft and then a name topper off Ebay and just glued it on.

Hi, someone kindly posted a free Xmas card deal here recently but I can’t find it. Could someone remind me what it was?

Thanks

LostMyRubySlippers · 10/12/2024 20:30

Also @Room4onemore if you still need an Argos code I think I have 10 off 100 or 7 off 75?

I fell off these threads about 10’days ago & have struggled to keep up since then!!

It was me who posted it originally. So glad you’re happy with your order! I ordered more as I was missing my lounge pants when they were in the wash so I wanted spare 😂🙈
