Posting on behalf of @reastie hope you don’t mind 🎄 🎅

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.
It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.
Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!
@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps
A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:
It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
No affiliate links
No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
Be nice or leave
If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes
The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.
To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk
Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)
So starhellostar would look like this.
hello
Obviously use the * not the word star
Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work
Stock informer is a handy site ^http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/default.aspx?fullsite=1^

Free delivery code is TM_TN5535W. It should be applied automatically, but if you added another discount code it will have taken the free delivery off.

As for the seeds, I see they have the same product at B&Q and its annuals (flowers)

“Fabulous selection of easy-to-grow annuals: Enjoy vibrant color all summer long while attracting bees and other pollinators. Great for impactful borders: Sow seeds in drifts through your garden to create stunning displays. Supports a good cause: A minimum of £7,500 from seed sales will be donated to the National Trust, helping preserve nature, beauty, and history for future generations.”

(although confusingly one of the three product pictures shows vegetables)

Thank you

Thank you that's very kind of you.

(especially for explaining than annuals means flowers!! )

My Abel & Cole arrived today. Got the free Prosecco, £10 off and a free bottle of passata. Sounds like I was pretty lucky

Free prosecco, £10 off and a free bag of clementines (with the stalks and leaves on).

Glad it worked out for at least someone else, sorry it's not been honoured for everyone.

Heater gilet £20 after 50% code

Hand warmers £9 after 50% code

The gilet in particular is a really great price and has good reviews.

Wow. That was quick 🤣. Thank you so much. I’m off to check those out. Much appreciated 👍

Don’t worry about it 😊 It was a genuine mistake. It’s the deliberate spammy ones that are the issue.

Be aware, that doesn’t include the heat pack/battery. That’s why it’s so cheap

Browsing Argos and they have Harry Potter make your own light up Hogwarts and Weasley's Burrow, £20 each but both are in the 2 for £20 toy promotion, so basically BOGOF!

They don’t usually come with battery packs (apart from the ones flogging the exact same thing for £150).

You can pick up a battery pack for £10. They use the same ones as used to charge phones.

DM has just decided that she needs some gardening gloves which can withstand brambles but "aren't too thick" - are there such a thing? I would have thought bramble proof = heavy duty?

Inspirationfailure · 09/12/2024 22:32

I have Argos £8 off £80 if any use to anyone A7ZPT2G2YMY7

Is there a cheaper way to get those jellycat key rings? I thought we’d outgrown such things but teen DD has said she would love one and she hasn’t asked for much this year. But they seem to be about 30 quid???

You need to search for gauntlet gloves - leather ones.

hugsandpugs · 09/12/2024 22:37

Has anyone seen a bargainous single pug duvet cover by any chance? DS (11) has told me tonight he would love one for Xmas. I’ve already got him a super soft pug blanket as a surprise but now searching for a duvet cover and pillowcase! 🙈
