Posting on behalf of @reastie hope you don’t mind 🎄 🎅

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.
It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.
Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!
@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps
A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:
It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
No affiliate links
No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
Be nice or leave
If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes
The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.
To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk
Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)
So starhellostar would look like this.
hello
Obviously use the * not the word star
Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

The Taylor Swift Merch shop has up to 50% off whilst stocks last. I’ve just got a jumper and tshirt which I didn’t get when I went to the tour!

Need help for partners grandad! Been recommended by MIL to get him dark chocolate biscuits but that doesn't look much! Any ideas? Budget £10-15, thank you!

My dd has just announced she would like a Pandora bracelet. Any ideas where I might get one on offer?

Do laithwaites ever do discount codes for existing customers?

virgocatlover · 09/12/2024 18:02

I'm probably very late on this, but if you have a Space NK ndulge account you can get 10 points for writing a product review, for up to 10 reviews a month (100 points = £5 credit). The credit expires after 3 months. I have done 10 reviews in November and 10 this month, so I have £10 worth of credit - may be useful for the Boxing Day sale.

Thank you for the Thompson Morgan referrals (20% off plants, seeds and bulbs). I got a load of bulbs for MIL with free delivery and the 20% off.

I used the one that @daisyboo1 PMd to me, so if anyone else is looking then please pick up @Threeboystwocatsandadog one from the referrals thread.

While there I spotted this lovely little bargain. I was looking for a seed tin to go with the Kew Garden seeds from earlier in the year.

With this one (which is 12.99 empty on Amazon) it is £9.99 empty but if you scroll down in the options dropdown there is an option to get it plus with 10 packets of national trust seeds for £9.99. It’s free delivery today, and you can have it delivered directly to the recipient with a gift message.

annoyingly there is a code (TM_TAW317W) for 10% off Christmas gifts, but it takes off the free delivery so not worth it.

Does it tell you what the seeds are anywhere? I've had a look around & didn't find anything.

I'm interested for my mum but she likes to grow trees & flowers not vegetables!
Thanks

I’d be tempted to get as many varieties of dark chocolate biscuits as I can and make them into a hamper. I love dark chocolate so I’d be so happy with dark digestives, dark hobnobs, dark kitkats, dark Brazil nuts…

I saw there were 3 options - Vegetables, Herbs and vegetables and a flower one I think. It didn’t list the actual seeds as far as I could find, but it had pictures so you get the gist of what seed packets may be in each option rather than a definitive list.

Thank you. Sorry I worded my question ridiculously badly!
I want to know what's in the NT mixed seeds - I wasn't sure if them being from NT indicated something about the contents. Sounds like it doesn't!

Thank you to the PP who recommendedbtbe sock shop loungewear. Ordered Saturday morning, and it arrived today. Super soft as well (no idea of how it fits as mine is a gift for me, and DH's is now wrapped under the tree)

I used a referral code and ordered on behalf of my dh using his email address. That gave me £40 off £80.

We had a patient who used to bring these dark chocolate ginger biscuits into the clinic for us. They are delicious. You can probably get them in the supermarket cheaper.

I think it’s because they have them labelled ready to be shipped like that. Which doesn’t help.

Has anyone ordered from Claire’s recently? I placed an order a week ago and still no sign of it being shipped - when I ordered it said estimated delivery last Friday 😬 I will be very annoyed if they say it’s oos, I’m convinced they don’t process orders in order.

Thanks, it’s been more like a 3-4 week wait for a response when I’ve had to email them before, and that’s not just before Christmas! I’ve used reward vouchers as part payment and if they cancel the order you don’t get them back unless you email to complain (and wait 3-4 weeks). I don’t know why they send so many marketing emails out when they can’t cope with the orders they get 😬

iridescentsnowflake · 09/12/2024 19:17

Threeboystwocatsandadog · 09/12/2024 17:09

Thank you @fishfingersandchipsagain I probably won’t order from Thomson and Morgan this year. I send my 91 year old Aunt a plant from them every year but she has been very unwell this year so have decided the Turtledove wrist warmers may be more useful. The little tins are lovely though. I will not twitch.

So, after being a bit upset with Claire’s (they would only give ds3 one Sloth as they insisted there was only one on the order when there was clearly two) they have responded to my e-mail and are crediting my £5 voucher to my account and an extra £5 as I have missed out on the Black Friday prices. Worth e-mailing if you have a problem @iridescentsnowflake

Thanks, fingers crossed they’re just being a bit slow but I will mention that if they do cancel the order. It’s a pain as I want the item and it’s a Claire’s exclusive.

Free delivery code is TM_TN5535W. It should be applied automatically, but if you added another discount code it will have taken the free delivery off.

As for the seeds, I see they have the same product at B&Q and its annuals (flowers)

“Fabulous selection of easy-to-grow annuals: Enjoy vibrant color all summer long while attracting bees and other pollinators. Great for impactful borders: Sow seeds in drifts through your garden to create stunning displays. Supports a good cause: A minimum of £7,500 from seed sales will be donated to the National Trust, helping preserve nature, beauty, and history for future generations.”

(although confusingly one of the three product pictures shows vegetables)

My Dean's hamper is due to be delivered today, the anticipation is building wonder how much I will eat and how much I will gift!

I've got fomo with all this talk of shortbread hampers.... I can see 10% for first orders, was there anything else that I've missed? (Assuming it was Dean's) Thanks!

Iwanttoputmytreeup · 09/12/2024 20:06

@SweetPeaPods I think you would just need to use another email and the referral code.....there are some nice boxed wines for Xmas or birthday so you would end up with one of them and whatever else you initially "spent" to get the total up to £80, for only £10. There are codes on the referral thread

Onemoret1me · 09/12/2024 20:10

Does anyone have a white fox discount code at all please? Have signed up to the app and newsletter but only seems to give a discount on £60 spends. I’m spending £55
