Posting on behalf of @reastie hope you don’t mind 🎄 🎅

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.
It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.
Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!
@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps
A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:
It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
No affiliate links
No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
Be nice or leave
If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes
The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.
To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk
Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)
So starhellostar would look like this.
hello
Obviously use the * not the word star
Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work
Stock informer is a handy site ^http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/default.aspx?fullsite=1^

Hello Christmas cringles!!

Two things from me...anyone know of a good heated seat pad or throw my DH could use whilst WFH in our chilly home office?

Second one...bit of a throw back. In Woolworths back in the day there used to be miniature drinks cans by the pick n mix section. Anywhere else offer this sort of service? I want a couple of flavours but in the mini cans, don't want to be buying a multi pack. Feels like a unicorn dream!

Tesco had some in 5 for £2.50. They had fanta, coke, diet coke, Pepsi max, appletise and a couple of others which I didn't pay attention to.

okayhescereal · 09/12/2024 15:14

@Justkeepsmilingx cute little reindeer hat and brown pjs?

@Justkeepsmilingx could you put said child into a furry outfit / teddy bear and add antler headbands

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/12/2024 15:36

Oh seen you have had lots of good ideas

Sainsbury’s do the mini cans 5 for £2.50

iridescentsnowflake · 09/12/2024 15:36

I think it’s because they have them labelled ready to be shipped like that. Which doesn’t help.

Has anyone ordered from Claire’s recently? I placed an order a week ago and still no sign of it being shipped - when I ordered it said estimated delivery last Friday 😬 I will be very annoyed if they say it’s oos, I’m convinced they don’t process orders in order.

I clicked send too soon and as a result look really ill mannered. Please can anyone send me a code for money off Nike air max 95 from anywhere ? Thank you so much.
Nike code needed - or JD or anywhere !!
It's the only thing teen ds wants !!

If you download the JD app you can get 10% off with the code APP10- worked on Air Max 95s for DS - brought them down to around £157 which I'm trying to convince myself was a bargain Blush

Sorry, that was meant to quote the post re Amazon above but the page refreshed and the quote disappeared.

@Justkeepsmilingx there are some lovely ones on vertbaudet. I'd buy This onesie in 3-4 and use it as an overcoat 2 winters in a row. We had similar from JoJo a few years back and I got outfit envy for my incredibly cosy and cute toddler 🥰

Plush-effect Reindeer Onesie for Girls - brown/print, Girls | Vertbaudet

A very soft onesie to keep little ones nice and warm while waiting for Father Christmas! With a reindeer-shaped hood, this onesie is an excellent gift idea for

Thank you for the Thompson Morgan referrals (20% off plants, seeds and bulbs). I got a load of bulbs for MIL with free delivery and the 20% off.

I used the one that @daisyboo1 PMd to me, so if anyone else is looking then please pick up @Threeboystwocatsandadog one from the referrals thread.

While there I spotted this lovely little bargain. I was looking for a seed tin to go with the Kew Garden seeds from earlier in the year.

With this one (which is 12.99 empty on Amazon) it is £9.99 empty but if you scroll down in the options dropdown there is an option to get it plus with 10 packets of national trust seeds for £9.99. It’s free delivery today, and you can have it delivered directly to the recipient with a gift message.

annoyingly there is a code (TM_TAW317W) for 10% off Christmas gifts, but it takes off the free delivery so not worth it.

My order arrived without an item that is still showing as in stock and I haven't been refunded for it so I'm also unimpressed. Says 3-4 day wait for a reply to an email too. Grrr

Apologies if this has already been posted - can't keep up with the thread!

Beats over-ear headphones 60% off on Amazon. Three colours to choose from - seems a pretty good deal and am trying to stop myself twitching for DD14!!

Having seen some of the great suggestions you lovely lot have come up with, I wondered if anyone can help me with my last few? I have F24, M21 and M18 to buy for, budget £25 ish. Gifts need to be quite compact, as they are traveling for Christmas, but I have someone who is happy to take them for me. So I just need to be mindful of luggage space. Not jewellery, hats or gloves, as that was last year! Any suggestions before I resort to cinema vouchers?

My Abel & Cole arrived today. Got the free Prosecco, £10 off and a free bottle of passata. Sounds like I was pretty lucky

@Justkeepsmilingx Buy Brown Reindeer Christmas Long Sleeve T-Shirt 2-3 years | T-shirts and shirts | Argos with some brown leggings? A red nose and antlers on a headband to enhance the idea?

Threeboystwocatsandadog · 09/12/2024 17:09

Thank you @fishfingersandchipsagain I probably won’t order from Thomson and Morgan this year. I send my 91 year old Aunt a plant from them every year but she has been very unwell this year so have decided the Turtledove wrist warmers may be more useful. The little tins are lovely though. I will not twitch.

So, after being a bit upset with Claire’s (they would only give ds3 one Sloth as they insisted there was only one on the order when there was clearly two) they have responded to my e-mail and are crediting my £5 voucher to my account and an extra £5 as I have missed out on the Black Friday prices. Worth e-mailing if you have a problem @iridescentsnowflake

I have a baby niece who was born September but is only just fitting into 1month baby clothes. Any recommendations? My own babies are now 13 and 16 so it’s been a while and I’ve no clue what’s useful for babyhood!

Similar to a pp, I always get the Vtech polar bear for a new arrival, always goes down well and they can use it straight away, my three year old still loves his.
