Posting on behalf of @reastie hope you don’t mind 🎄 🎅

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.
It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.
Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!
@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps
A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:
It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
No affiliate links
No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
Be nice or leave
If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes
The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.
To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk
Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)
So starhellostar would look like this.
hello
Obviously use the * not the word star
Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

@IlovePond damn I thought that might be the case, I ordered a food processor in the cuisinart sale as well but the wine opener wasn't on my radar at the time.

kkr168 · 07/12/2024 17:55

@NoForwardingAddress I ordered some jogging bottoms on the 25th Nov & received them within a week.
Maybe try contacting them via social media, I seem to get better results that way.

Is it for the nio cocktails? If so you’re welcome to have my code if you still need it. I don’t drink alcohol so no use to me 😂

Yes please!

IlovePond · 07/12/2024 18:01

@TimPat - hopefully someone on here can recommend another 🤞I vaguely remember someone mentioning them quite recently.

Weirdly, the grey version of these was £6.33 for me when I applied the discount. Bargain!

Has anyone else had issues with White Fox? I ordered my niece joggers and a hoodie on 28th Nov. Still no dispatch. Status on my account just says "unfulfilled". I emailed customer service 3 days ago, and no reply yet 😑

Starting to think it isn't coming, but I'd appreciate some contact from WF so I know whether to look for an alternative.

I ordered on the 29th Nov and it was delivered by Royal Mail this morning. I only got a dispatch email yesterday.

Elphaba17 · 07/12/2024 18:06

I would also appreciate a Nio Vodafone code if anyone is willing to part with theirs. Sounds ideal for my secret Santa.

I need to buy a number of sporty items from Sports Direct. There is a space for promo code so I’m hoping they do them occasionally. Anyone know of one which would give a small percentage or free delivery? Also, are they easy for returns?
H&M have an offer for members to buy a £30 gift card and get £5 for themselves if that helps anyone.

@TimPat it was the cuisinart one in their sale for £15, it's still on Amazon for £26, not quite as much of a bargain, but still allegedly a big reduction.

lemonsmum · 07/12/2024 18:33

Thank you @beetr00 that's really helped with my brother was struggling

Londonmummy66 · 07/12/2024 18:49

@TimPat I have this one and use it in preference to the cuisinart one that DH bought - I can't get my head around how it works but it does! https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B018I992VW?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

@pinkchampagne1 - you poor thing - keep posting on here what you need to get/who you need to buy for and people should come up with ideas and links (perhaps your DH could follow the thread and do the purchasing?) FOr wrapping I've made a load of fabric drawstring bags over the last couple of years and it saves so so much time. A company like The Clever Baggers sell them in a range of colours at around £1 each - depending on size - so you could just order a load in a colour you like - they'd even print them with a Christmas design if you wanted that - and then you just pop the present in, add a name tag and its done. An ombre effect of shades of blue would be pretty and the advantage of plain or not too obviously CHristmassy bags is you never need to wrap a birthday present again either....

But delighted you were able to use

I think they meant that the person who set up the voucher did the maths wrong, not that you did 😁

Thanks for the tip. Got some for me, having bought similar for the rest of the family over the years.

@TimPat - I think it was Cuisinart, who had one for £20. The ones on their site now start at £40.

The one I bought for £15 is now £35 and the kettle I bought for £25 is now £35!

Iwanttoputmytreeup · 07/12/2024 19:09

@Arewesureitisntbedtime
And anyone looking for male or couples gifts, there are some nice hampers and gifts on the Laithwaite's site, including two different alcohol free gift sets. New customers can get an £80 order for £40 with a referral code from the referrals page

fishfingersandchipsagain · 07/12/2024 19:10

What is the Nio offer? 45% off of what?

Although I am now officially done, so should not be twitching.

I did a big stocktake of all the presents today and compared to the list (thanks so much to the person who recommended the gift list app - it is an absolute godsend!)

I now have a small pile of returns where things were not quite right, or usurped by a later bargain. This is the time of year when I live in fear of Amazon banning me for returning a half dozen items 😅

I had one fail. I ordered a bargain projector from Amazon in October (£35ish). Then last week, once everything was bought and budgets added up, I decided I could stretch to the model up (£60ish with bluetooth rather than a cable). Unfortunately I forgot that Amazon don’t have an extended Christmas returns window, so I can’t send the original back 🙄

Embarrassingly I also have a medium sized box full of things for me, either from bargains or freebies 😊I will keep it tucked away at the back of the wardrobe (as previous years) until Boxing Day. It’s my stocking to myself, given all the effort I put into other people’s.

Ssfb3 · 07/12/2024 19:11

@TherebytheGraceofGodgoI thank you! Ordered to collect Monday, I’m finished. Now for the challenge of not twitching

I was done ...then I saw the he hand warmer ...an just couldn't resist 😂!

I had been toying with getting this sort of thing for D's for the past few Christmas's and never did 🤷....

6.33 was my calling 😂...thank you poster !

Now I am 1 present short for the other 2 DC 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️!!

I bought one of these for DH. It arrived last week and is really surprisingly nice!

He specifically wanted a very long one. I have a women’s long one from Next and he really likes it, but there is no way a women’s one would fit his long arms (6’4”), so this was perfect.

NB these ones are not Sherpa lined like Oodies, but that was DH’s preference anyway.

nicky2512 · 07/12/2024 19:24

Does anyone know if there’s any way to get a discount at Duke video? I’d like to get a t shirt and a dvd for dh but I can’t find anything that works. Thank you.

StrawberryThief1930 · 07/12/2024 19:26

@beetr00 thank you for the hand warmer link - also only £6.33 for me, and perfect for rugby dad husband!
