One more sleep until December!! Get your Christmas duvets, stollen and mulled wine and the ready as the festive season is well and truly here!

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Stock informer is a handy site http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/default.aspx?fullsite=1

Camelcamelcamel is a great amazon price tracking tool http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com

Can anyone recommend any American candy stores online? All the ones I’ve found have terrible trust pilot reviews.

I haven’t caught up with the thread, apologies if someone has already suggested them. I have used iFoodsUK a few times (more so for pick and mix) but they stock American candy and have always been really good when I’ve ordered.

Not helpful but I keep seeing them too and thinking good pressie for my teens. Thermanote is the brand, I think, that I keep getting served ads for on FB and Insta. The reviews seemed pretty good when I checked a while ago.

Hi - I'm impulsively looking to buy a nice fake tree. Does anyone have any discount codes for Balsam Hill or White Stores (or recommendations on one over the other)? Thanks!

We all bought it off Amazon way back in the year (when you'd get soundly mocked by posters straying onto the prequel threads!) Cost was £7.99 but there was a coupon as well.

This is from my order history:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0CFQ224TB

DS was thrilled today opening it. I was impressed that the stone came on a necklace.

Thank you to the original poster who showed us the deal!

I was in an adidas store today and they had 40% off when you bought 2 or more items so I managed to get a pair of football boots that were £30 and a £17 t shirt for £28! Bargain!!

Yeknom · 01/12/2024 16:06

Am I too late to jump on the Outsmarted bandwagon? You all got a fantastic deal a few threads back didn't you? Is it actually any good? Or am I being a sheep?

Any recommendations for websites for cheap silver jewellery? DD has a £15 budget for secret santa and wants to get her friend some earrings. She does like some of the ones on HotDiamonds but I don't think there are any stacking codes at the moment,

thehousewiththesagegreensofa · 01/12/2024 16:21

Has anyone mentioned that GoApe have 25% off their gift vouchers? Our DC have received them in the past and been delighted

I bought the Phomemo M02 thermal printer for my 14yo DD last Xmas. She uses it quite a lot, it seems to do the job well. Currently half the price I paid 😩 on Amazon in a BF deal so would definitely recommend.

Hot diamonds have a code MSE40 which stacks with JEWELS they give 40% off and free delivery and they stack with the birthday code

Does anyone know if the Jellycats from Bigwicks come in individual bags? I can't see an option on their site to request this, as their is on the official Jellycat site, and it's important!

Chocolateteabag · 01/12/2024 16:52

Has anyone got/can recommend an electric trainer/boot dryer? I can only find them on Amazon and even then not sure which will have a uk plug etc

But would be perfect for my DBro and his soggy running trainers

RainbowPhilosophy · 01/12/2024 17:00

I won't be able to collect my free JL chocolates before 3/12 when it expires so I'm happy to pass on my code to someone who can if that's possible?

There isn't a code - when you press 'activate', it starts a 3 hour countdown on the screen.
In my JL, you had to show the countdown clock on the app.
I guess if they are really busy, they might not notice if it's a screenshot of the timer and the clock isn't actually counting down 😂
