Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. @PissedOffNeighbour22 they did say that for the Christmas hampers but said the BF offers were different. As long as I get them, I don’t mind. They must have been snowed under with the amount of orders they got from here alone!

Xmas hampers are dispatched from tomorrow with delivery by 23rd

I got the bf hamper from deans on Thursday (ordered 7 days before). Only got the royal mail notification the night before.

I’m pretty sure it’s only available on the Lego website and smyths for preorder, I was looking around for deals a while ago and couldn’t find it anywhere else. If you order from Lego have a look at voucher codes. I got a £20 grocery voucher with my order as it was over £100 and they seem to do offers like that quite regularly.

Lego don’t take payment until despatch so you could order and hope for an earlier date.

For anyone else looking around for a last minute/ late advent calendar bargain - I just got this Boots No 7 make up one for £38.25 (reduced from nearly £150, or so it claims!)

@TheChirpyWasp Had an email this morning for cardholders.....screenshot is from the app though. Link it to your card first then when you pay it deducts 2 of the gifts :) They did it some weeks ago....can't recall when....and just went through automatically even on the non-manned tills and looked to be practically everything with a green sticker x
