Thanks @IlovePond for the title.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

A niche gift but Lidl have got a sushi mat, sushi rice and various sauces as well as other Japanese food
i have bought my teenage DD the mat, sushi rice, sauce, crackers and some Nori (tescos) for around £10 for her stocking. She will love it

Has anyone used Naked Wines? Had an offer through the post...£75 off 12 bottles, will have to pay just over £5, just seems too good to be true. So would just like to know a bit more about them.. is it a subscription and if so, is it easy to cancel? Thanks very much

I’ve been real life shopping today and managed to get a better bargain than what I can see online for once. Typo online have their tree ornaments 3 for £15, in store, (Meadowhell!) they were also 3 for £15 but the lady who was putting them out told us also they also had them on offer, 5 for £20 which doesn’t show online and wasn’t advertised in store either. Very pleased with my 5 new baubles!

VM2HJ4J8B2T8P5MH For the o2 bauble

Someone has used it and right at the last minute as I was checking out so I just avoided being charged full price & unfortunately missed out.
thats really shitty to do if someone is replying to a specific poster

Christmasnearlydone · 17/11/2024 18:24

@Amazonmulu all sent I hope 🙏

@Ilovepond Afraid I don’t know about Oodies slippers but can recommend these from Strive. Have been great for my feet (although Morton’s Neuroma not PF). There is 20% off according to the website.

Chunkychipsohyeah · 17/11/2024 18:29

@Itsanadventure I’ve (hopefully) PM’d you a code.

ImageMirror · 17/11/2024 18:31

Can anyone point me in the direction of the HotDiamonds offer? I have a 25% from signing up to emails but I’m sure someone said something about another discount but I can’t find it? Thank you

girlsyearapart · 17/11/2024 18:33

i got Hismile half price in Superdrug last week

ShinyPrettyThings87 · 17/11/2024 18:33

@Itsanadventure agree, fair enough on ones just left but any codes meant for specifically tagged people should be left well alone! Glad Chips has got one for you! 🤞 Shouldn't have to pm to keep them safe but I suppose some people have no decency.

@slimmyjimmy couldn't recommend Naked Wines highly enough. Never had a bad wine. And unlike other wine subscriptions I looked at, you just pay monthly into an account and when you want to order you use the money you have saved, rather than being sent a case every so often. Usually there is a freebie bottle in my basket already when I order too. If you want to leave you can take back any money in your account. But I've never wanted to leave!

I've used them and found them good, though it was a few years ago. I didn't do a subscription but I think they do offer them so worth checking voucher terms. Are you sure the voucher has no min spend? I've had £75 off vouchers regularly but they have a min spend of something like £120

PinkSkiesAtNight · 17/11/2024 18:36

@slimmyjimmy my mum has used naked wine for a few years now. She pays a monthly amount and then chooses what sort of wine she wants/how much. I think it's easy to cancel, but they always suck my mum back in with a fab offer, the wines are really good. I think she now pays £20, and maybe 3 or 4 times a year gets a box, which she can adapt. She can also pause the monthly payment if she's built up a lot of credit and won't use it. If you like wine, I'd go for it. She always has loads of wine. I help her drink it when we fly over a Christmas/in the summer!

Thanks for the new thread @Reastie Could someone explain how to obtain the O2 offers? I'm an O2 customer and have looked on the app, but can just see lots of iphone offers. Are they just for some customers? Also, I may have missed this, but purely for completion - can someone tell me what the offer actually was with the Quality St at John Lewis 😂

It’s the O2 Priority app you need to log into, that’s where offers and competitions are, and one of them is for the Christmas decoration
