Thanks @Beautifulsunflowers for the title. It was close between that and E.L.F on a shelf and some others - too many to choose from!

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Thank you! Hopefully it will arrive soon. Feel like I've been waiting for ever!

I’m really happy with the one I ordered. I have a name and number on the back too. It’s got a tag and you would never know it wasn’t official. I think the sizing is a little small but hopefully it will be ok! For £16 I’m very happy.

woodwaj · 16/11/2024 11:48

The lip duo reward has now disappeared from my elf app. I think im playing chicken for black Friday but it's annoying how quick they add and remove offers

Famousthehero · 16/11/2024 11:54

Has anybody tried this £3 Lego advent thing? It popped up on facebook so I assume it’s a scam, it’s not on the official Lego site that I can see.
all the comments under the post are about it being real, but everything on Facebook seems to be AI or scams these days

In fact I feel silly for asking. Of course it’s a scam

picnicfuntimes · 16/11/2024 11:59

Has anyone else had an email offering a free grumm set of shower bars or fragrances for a £4 delivery charge? It won’t add them to my basket. I’ve emailed them for help, but as the email came via a brief beer subscription thing I got off here years ago I assume some of you will have got it too.

Yes it definitely is a scam

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 16/11/2024 12:07

Tiger** when I emailed Elf they said the gift changes each month but I would be tempted to go for it now before they decide MN are taking them down and cap promo codes per order Grin

Carrie76 · 16/11/2024 12:22

For ROI shoppers, sports direct have big reductions on yeezys. My son eyes them up every time we go in store and yesterday they were marked at 100-140. They’re still more than that on their website

Would anyone have a unidays code I could use for an Arsenal order please?

PurpleSock · 16/11/2024 12:23

I'm taking part in a charity gift giving program (similar to the Dunelm one where you pick a name/age from the tree but local)
I have bee allocated a 9 year old girl and have no more information
Does anyone have any ideas where to start please? I'm far more used to gifting for boys so a bit stumped here!
Budget is about £50 but I'd prefer to get multiple gifts rather than just one I think the more bargainous the better!

Carrie76 · 16/11/2024 12:31

@PurpleSock I’m sitting with my 9yr old dd. She’s a fan of squishmallows, all things Taylor Swift, lots of her friends are into make up (she’s not). Other wins are fluffy socks and pjs, sports clothes and popcorn makers.

chubo · 16/11/2024 12:34

Someone was looking for Ulster Weaver tea towels - I just came out of Tkmaxx irl and they have loads. Some in the clearance section too.

I think £7 ish full price and maybe £5 for the clearance ones.

All packs of two

Just want to say thank you for these threads. I only dip in & out but have sourced prezzies & festive home stuff based on recommendations here, from places I didn't know about.

onedayatatime73 · 16/11/2024 12:48

I'm looking for bargain inspiration for DSS - age 20. Most of the great offers here (I've followed the Elf sheep) don't apply to him. Ideas welcome.

And in need of decent craft gin and craft vodka. Ideally at a discount.

Spaceracers · 16/11/2024 12:52

I think many threads ago there was some chat around Harry Potter chocolate frogs - which I didn't know would be on my list until this morning. Does anyone know how to get a bargain here? They seem very expensive and apparently Santa is bringing a box of them!

choc27 · 16/11/2024 12:55

Thanks to all who have reassured me about soccer04!

Iggi999 · 16/11/2024 13:00

YorkshireFelix · 16/11/2024 09:40

@Iggi999 that would be amazing if you can please! I can get there on Monday evening and have a few bits of clothes to get that dd wants Smile

I asked, and they seemed a bit confused but we established that on the last day the offer should run till closing (18th)

I keep getting loads of these and ones for beauty products as well. I keep reporting them to FB and they just keep saying its not a violation its so annoying they wont remove them.

redwinechocolateandsnacks · 16/11/2024 13:07

You can buy chocolate frogs in a jar (tiny frogs).

Starabella · 16/11/2024 13:17

Aldi have stitch ultimate colouring books in. £4.99 everywhere else but £1.99 in Aldi.

Famousthehero · 16/11/2024 13:18

@mickandrorty I’m too gullible for Facebook these days. It’s either scams or recipe ideas which turn out to be vile…

BadgerFace · 16/11/2024 13:24

I can’t seem to pay on the Elf app. Apple Pay is failing and the other pay option won’t progress through. So annoying!!

I'm no better I'm going to attempt to make the cake i keep seeing made from crushed Oreos and milk and expecting a 5* cake not a pan of biscuity slop 😂

Sorry where is this from? My DD loves frogs.

ConsuelaHammock · 16/11/2024 13:34

Someone was asking about the side Xmas tree crockery. This is available on La Redoute . Check Quidco and TopCashback too. I’ll have a look and see if they’re on BLC too
