Advent Calendars

I’m just starting to think about advent calendars for Christmas and I wondered if anybody had tried the sweetzy one before?

I was also thinking of the food one that lots of people seem to get (but I can’t remember the name of it)

Any other recommendations would be great DS19, DD13, DH42 am trying to steer clear of makeup this time round (and I’ve already pre-ordered mine ☺️)

We had it once. It was ok. Maybe 5 of the days were really good. The rest were like, "oh, stinky fragrant salt.....useful"

Mashmallow advent calendar is really nice, could be for any of you depending on tastes.

We’ve actually already had that one year. Bonus was we got sent the alcohol one by mistake so they sent out the non alcohol replacement and told us to keep the first one as an apology. Unfortunately, nobody liked the alcohol one (but obviously we are them anyway because they were free 😂)

Bonne maman jam is nice one as well if you like jam of course. DD had hot chocolate one once and liked it.
DH and I both had tea one and it was interesting.

I had the Puka tea one last year, really did NOT enjoy it. Too many called something different but basically the same tea And obviously one I didn't like.

I purchased 24 different bags of crisps one year.

Ones not already mentioned that have been a hit here… gemstones/crystals and Christmas candles (scented tea lights).

I love the sound of a hot chocolate one!

If you liked Joe and Seph’s popcorn, I recommend the popcorn shed. I had their calendar last year and was very impressed with the flavours

Do DS or DH like beer? I've had the Brewdog one twice and loved it.

Body Shop for DD? I have got this for my Mum three years in a row and she made me promise never deviate again 🤣

I bought a Hotel Chocolat one for each of my DC one year but they weren’t impressed .

I don’t eat chocolate apart from special occasions but I do like an advent calendar . Usually a Cadbury chunks one .
One year I’ll get the Grand Hotel Chocolat Everything one

I've never ever had an adult advent calendar. I'm not against them but what's the point if you know what's in them already?

I’d like a really old fashioned one with those 1970s pictures in. Children skating, a robin on a bird table, a snowman, some holly, that sort of thing.

And I might get myself a cheap Cadburys one this year. I like tradition!

Although the jam one sounds interesting @Bilbonne.

I saw someone had a Buldak ramen advent calendar last year. That would be right up my street as I LOVE ramen noodles 🍜 😋
