In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

How to do click links -

I hope that makes sense…

Present tracking apps might be of interest eg Santas bag, gift list.

Here are some useful websites:

Amazon free delivery tool here

Aliexpress [[http://www.aliexpress.com www.aliexpress.com . Useful tips here from sorryiasked: Aliexpress is a Chinese site that sells everything! Assume all branded stuff is fake. I personally wouldn't buy baby toys or electronics from there as I don't have faith in the product safety. But for fan merchandise, dolls clothes, "lego", household items etc it's great. Check the size guide on clothes and lower your expectations!
Use a seller who has a 4.5 star rating or higher.
You can pay via PayPal and there is an excellent tracking system, but be aware express postage is usually 2-3 weeks and standard postage up to 2-3 months.

Bargainmax here

Camelcamelcamel is a brilliant site that tracks prices on amazon here

Lisa angel sale is popular when on, apparently arrive nicely packaged too here

Magazine subscription offers here and here

Netpricedirect has discount toys and party bits here although be aware reviews of the site is mixed

Toys for a pound here

Any additional websites or recommendations to add - just let me know Grin . I should add something about Ali express maybe as we’ve had that before…will get my brain thinking about what other sites/products have been popular.

Amazon UK Free Delivery Tool - Find add on items to reach £25

Amazon provides free super saver delivery for orders of £25 or over. Use our tool to find items to qualify for free shipping

Smyths have Lego giveeaway today. Poly bags for free. Great stocking filler

gawditswindy · 21/10/2023 13:49

Just received some squishmallows from SHEIN. Very cheap but they're tiny! My ability to estimate size leaves much to be desired.

Lululemon discount tips anyone? 🎄

Clucket87 · 21/10/2023 14:14

I'm after a helping hand you lovely lot.
I want to get my nan finished and am stuck for ideas.
I've got her perfume and Vitamin E cream but want something else, between £30-£40.
But she has everything!
I can't get her clothes as her dog has a tendency to rip her clothes. She has a heated blanket and back warmer. She's 86. Doesn't really go out apart from to the groomers and food shopping with my aunt. Scarf/gloves etc wouldn't be worn.
I'm tempted by gin, even though she has loads.
But would be grateful for some inspiration. Xx

Hand cream? Slippers? Nice fancy tonic to go with her gin?

Mytribeof3 · 21/10/2023 14:26

Marks and Spencer hamper?
Cornish afternoon tea delivered?
Magazine subscription?
Alexa?
Family framed photo?
A photo of her parents, siblings and her young blown up and framed?
Her handprint painted with grandchildren's handprints?
A printed cushion with a pic on?

It's very hard getting for grandparents!

I've always had good feedback from my family about camille nightwear.
And some of them are older fashioned which could work.

When my nan was around this age I made her an advent instead of one present and she was like a big kid ringing me every day. I just wrapped up loads of mini presents and labelled them with numbers, lots of them were food and drink as well.as hand creams, scarves etc.

OnionBag · 21/10/2023 14:47

A Christmas bouquet delivered to her in Christmas week?

Nestnearlyempty · 21/10/2023 14:47

For Nan- what about a voucher for Cook- yummy nutritious ready meals frozen which can be ordered online.

Thesoundofscience · 21/10/2023 14:48

Thanks for the new thread Reastie.

Apologies if it’s already been posted but the Harry Potter Wizarding Almanac is half price on Amazon at the moment for £15.

Looks like a lovely gift for HP fans.

Some of the fingerless cashmere gloves would be nice for her to wear indoors perhaps. Won’t stop her doing anything but will keep her hands cosy. My mum in her 90’s loves them!

Martinisarebetterdirty · 21/10/2023 15:10

@QOD Lululemon rarely discount. They do have a section called we made too much on the website and if you’re nearby they have a store at Bicester Village.

Clucket87 · 21/10/2023 15:15

There is a 10% off £40 and 15% off £60 spend on Whittards.

Hibernatalie · 21/10/2023 15:25

Hi all, checking in! Want to finish my Christmas shopping in my week off which is first week of November, but know I'll end up twitching on Black Friday if I do...

starlight2k · 21/10/2023 15:29

Can anyone recommend a decent pinball machine for a 6 year old? All the ones I've looked at seem to have poor reviews

EekGoesTheBaby · 21/10/2023 15:49

For the nan--Maybe upgraded versions of things she has normally (tea, biscuits, jam, etc.)

Thank you to PPs who posted about the Leapfrog headphones and the watercolour brush set. You are stars!

Notlongnow1 · 21/10/2023 16:07

Ooh on the subject of headphones, can anyone recommend any kids headband style wireless headphones?! Currently on a long drive and the music from Tag with Ryan is driving me slowly loopy - my 5 year old hates wearing headphones.

I recently bought MUSICOZY Sleep Headphones Headband,Adjustable Sleeping Headphones with Bluetooth & HD Hi Fi Speakers,Sleep Gifts for Side Sleeper/Travel/Meditation/Yoga/audio books/Insomnia amzn.eu/d/cQN5JWa these - which incidentally are a bargain today - which I love and think a similar style would work better for her too. I hope so as lots of travel in the spring! Mixed reviews for kids options I've seen so would livea recommendation!

Checkinmylist1 · 21/10/2023 16:10

Is she into wildlife at all since she clearly loves her dog. What about a Bird table or bird feeding station?
One of those nest box cameras?
Or subscription to a wildlife magazine.

PopcornAndGummyBears · 21/10/2023 16:21

Usual offer which is the same every year, but just reminded of it today as I was in the shopping centre and the calendar club stall was back. If you go online you get the full selection of calendars to browse through and they are 2 for £20 (not all calendars included but I’d say at least 75% of them are) and free delivery within UK with £10 minimum spend.

I feel like this year there are less celeb ones available - maybe they’ll come later but definitely less bands/actors/celebs than in previous years. (But hundreds of dogs!)
