Curious to see how many presents people have under their tree.
I have two dcs and never think it looks enough, I just love to see their little faces light up in the morning.

This isn't a judgy thread I'm just genuinely curious.
Here's mine ours its just presents for 2 dc. Me and dp exchanged today.

I only clicked on the thread to see the moaning and berating, and I wasn't disappointed. The thread police are alive and well I see! 😂😂😂

Some beautiful trees too. Merry Christmas everyone and I hope everyone enjoys their presents, whether they post photos or not 🍷🍷

Just a couple 😜

WOW

AllOfThemWitches · 25/12/2022 00:12

This thread makes me cringe. Very materialistic.

fallfallfall · 25/12/2022 00:12

I love how some people have taken @Whatthediddlyfeck 's post seriously 😁

@ChestnutsOpenFire I love the little gingerbread gift bag.

PlaitBilledDuckyPuss · 25/12/2022 00:13

Nothing to add as Christmas is just DH and me and our presents are stored in the home office, but enjoying other people's trees.

Vaccine001 · 25/12/2022 00:13

I am broke and I enjoy seeing other peoples gifts under the tree. I have two gifts this year double what I get most years.

AllOfThemWitches · 25/12/2022 00:14

Lovejoylife · 24/12/2022 23:54

You should all be very jealous of my tree. A lot of time and effort went into that 😂 Also three of them gifts are for the dog. Priorities.

This is fantastic though.

Namechangepleas · 25/12/2022 00:14

Mine might look more but it is just the way it's positioned going across the rug instead of under the tree fully. Each dc had about £100 spent on them, most of it is books and teddies.

I dont think any of these photos are braggy. They all look perfect.
Merry christmas! Enjoy your day everyone.

@ChestnutsOpenFire what a rotund and jolly tree you have there!!

Cactusprick · 25/12/2022 00:18

Don’t understand why anyone thinks they should judge anyone else for how much or how little they’ve spent.
It actually seems that people only seem to have a problem with the ones who have more presents under their tree than they deem an acceptable amount, which is just weird.

People work to earn money to choose to spend it on what they like. Fuck off judging and let people spend their earnings on a shed load of gifts if they like!

KavvLar · 25/12/2022 00:18

Stockings. My best tip was when I bought two sets of identical mid size ones. The DC hang them up before bed and then I swap out for the ones I pre filled earlier.

This year each has an orange, choc coins, a choc Santa, some sweets, and a couple of smaller fidget or nail varnish or blind bag or socks type gifts in stripy sweet bags.

Happy Christmas everyone.

@DuplicateUserName thank you! I can’t take any credit - it’s a gift from my aunt . I love it - will definitely be reusing it next year!

@MargotChateau thank you! Wish I could take the credit but my son picked it out with DH - he is very good at choosing them!

DS has a bike, that I got second hand for £40, but it's in perfect condition as the previous child never rode it! A beautiful red shiny BMX bike. The tyres have no wear on them! 5 parcels to open (2 Lego sets, a safety dart board, a remote control monster truck, a led light up toy thing where you make pictures with the LED lights) plus a stocking of chocolate, socks, toothbrush, torch and other little things.

I'm a loan parent , but I'm enjoying the thread, I like being nosy 😂 some lovely trees!!

I'm fully aware many people have more disposable income than me, I'm not bothered 🤷🏻‍♀️ that's life.

DS will thoroughly enjoy the bike, and the toys. He will be fine ☺️

Sounds perfect 😍

My bits are 2nd hand the only new thing is a present my friend has brought me. I’m sorry if my 2nd hand books upset people but to me they are priceless I will not apologise for them, I’ve waited years for this tomorrow it happens I’ve got my books back. I’ve had enough crap this year.

Enjoy your books and your Christmas Brenner!💐 From a fellow book lover.

Thanks everyone for sharing their trees. Happy Christmas!🌲

MarieKlepto · 25/12/2022 00:24

Yeah, a sea of tat makes me wince. But have a thought for some of the folk posting here. That parcel may be a favourite character notebook, a slightly "posher" bottle of facewash or the socks that are really in at the moment. If you are monied then you'll get the big ticket but the other stuff may be tiny in size, in an envelope, but big bucks - experiences, livery, driving lessons, etc.

Hohohoholidays · 25/12/2022 00:24

There have been times (before foodbnks were so common) that I have been so poor that I haven't been able to afford food, had no Internet as couldn't afford the monthly charge etc. (,I would go to my parents' house to use it). I still loved thread's like these, they didn't make me feel bad, they made me feel joyous and happy. I wish people would stop trying to spoil everyone's fun. if we look hard enough we can find offense anywhere and everywhere but why live like that? I just try to take the positive from everything
