Hi , what do you all have for breakfast on Christmas morning ? We usually have Christmas dinner around 2-2.30 so don’t usually have anything too heavy

I've got a few options - chocolate chip pancakes, frozen croissants and pain au choc from Asda, frozen cinnamon buns from IKEA. Whatever we don't have on Christmas day will be good for boxing day (and the day after!!)

DonttouchthatLarry · 20/12/2022 17:29

Buck's Fizz with either pain au chocolat or pigs in blankets baguette.

Favouritefruits · 20/12/2022 17:29

It’s got to be a huge slice of panettone in our house, it’s our favourite Christmas breakfast.

beatsin8s · 20/12/2022 17:30

Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs or bacon with pancakes and maple syrup, this year kids have unanimously voted on the latter! Also croissants with nutella and fresh fruit.

beatsin8s · 20/12/2022 17:32

Oh, and bucksfizz!

mostlydrinkstea · 20/12/2022 17:32

In the days when I was doing two or three church services on Christmas Eve and then services at 8am and 10am and then hospital visits on Christmas Day breakfast would be whatever I could find in the fridge or the church kitchen. Mince pies and sausage rolls with a side order of cheese.

This year I've convinced my elderly congregation that we do midnight mass at 9pm and put the Christmas morning services together. I'm loving these ideas.

Baileyscoffeeeverymorningnow · 20/12/2022 17:33

Crumpets with smoked salmon, cream cheese & poached eggs with mimosas, cinnamon rolls, chocolates and tangerines

Pirrin · 20/12/2022 17:36

I wanted pain au chocolate to work as they're so easy. Unfortunately nobody fancies them after all the other chocolate that gets eaten so bacon sandwiches/rolls have been our go to.

Pixiedust1234 · 20/12/2022 17:37

I thought everybody had Quality Street/Roses for breakfast on Christmas Day 😱

Blossomtoes · 20/12/2022 17:37

Croissants stuffed with bacon and cheese and Bucks Fizz.

AmazonianAvatar · 20/12/2022 17:42

American pancakes with cinnamon in the batter and banana and syrup on top, and with blueberries and orange zest mixed in the batter with strawberries. raspberries and syrup on top. Traditional Christmas breakfast in our house. Keeps us going until dinner at 3pm.

Adviceneeded200 · 20/12/2022 17:50

Smoked salmon and eggs, with buttered bagels .
Bucks fizz.

This year I have lots of gin, so may make orange gin mimosas instead.

ilovechocolate07 · 20/12/2022 17:59

I've varied ot over the years but last year bacon/veggy sausage sandwiches went down well.

Wishihadanalgorithm · 20/12/2022 18:00

Always pork pie (this year homemade) and pickle. It is not Christmas without.

adriftabroad · 20/12/2022 18:09

Some form of eggs on toast
Ham and cheese croissant with rocket

OJ and me some form of alcohol

DD her pomegranate (from stocking)

Chocolate and maybe ham croquettas and cheese at 1pm
Lunch around 4pm

Mouldyfoodhelp · 20/12/2022 18:14

Normally biscuits as it's quick easy no fuss but my mum was talking about how she used to have a full English so thinking of doing that

greenhousegal · 20/12/2022 18:15

Valium and ear defenders.

mondaytosunday · 20/12/2022 18:15

I like to have french toast and bacon. Christmas meal is around 4ish. My daughter doesn't eat breakfast and my son will probably have his own protein shake or oatmeal.

TheFallenMadonna · 20/12/2022 18:15

Panettone, bucks fizz, coffee. DD has gingerbread.

MinnieMountain · 20/12/2022 18:16

DH and MIL have pork pie, beer and pickled onions.

I’m having Waitrose frozen mini pastries.

DS will probably have honey or biscoff spread on toast.

Hintofreality · 20/12/2022 18:16

Croissants, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon coffee and Bucks Fizz.

HaggisWurst · 20/12/2022 18:17

Croissants. Ones that you roll up yourself and bake in the oven for ten minutes lovely. Then we put out Nutella, jam, butter, Philadelphia and we fill our croissants with whatever we want!

Spudlover · 20/12/2022 18:21

Eggs Royale and Buck’s Fizz. Dinner isnt usually until about 5pm because of unusual family dynamics and waiting for people to arrive!

WontLetThoseRobotsDefeatMe · 20/12/2022 18:27

Nurnberger sausages in warm rolls, with bucks fizz!

MrsMontyD · 20/12/2022 18:29

If I can be bothered to make them we'll have Nigella's Christmas morning muffins, but I'll make them tomorrow and freeze them, they're just as nice defrosted overnight and warmed up in the oven. Probably controversial.

If not toasted panettone with Nutella.
