Christmas Day breakfast

Hi , what do you all have for breakfast on Christmas morning ? We usually have Christmas dinner around 2-2.30 so don’t usually have anything too heavy

That's a proper ying and yang breakfast!

This year I am having toasted cinammon bagels with honey and a baileys hot chocolate.

In the past we have done frozen croissants, smoked salmon and soft cheese bagels.

I have no idea. DP brings me breakfast in bed so whatever he decides to do is fine by me.

Same here, can't beat them. We have the pain au chocolat as well...it is Christmas after all 🙂

The smell of warm cinnamon rolls wakes the "kids" (20 + 22).

I alternate years with homemade blueberry muffins / ano flavour as well and then next year I do h9me made eggnog pancakes with blueberry ( cooked lightly) and maple syrup

we used to do the whole big cooked breakfast thing , but since kids grew up it’s too much food

we do a brunch on Boxing Day instead- fits in nicely after a hangover lie in and before a dog walk to burn all the previous day calories 🤣🙄

We have never done anything special for breakfast on Christmas Day. Having read about all the lovely things you lot are having, I'm beginning to think I've been seriously missing out all these years!

Eggs benedict and a bloody mary

I was thinking bacon and avocado rolls and bucks fizz. This thread is making me so hungry, I love a nice breakfast.

Jus-roll cinnamon swirls here as well with a mug of Whittards Christmas tea

Eggs benedict or eggs royale, I have not decided yet, but must have poached eggs.
There are some very yummy suggestions here!

M & S Strawberry and Almond Crunch cereal with full fat milk, and Bucks Fizz.

I have friends that have pork pie and pickles, its traditional in the midlands

Fancy granola and (shop bought) pancakes this year. I don't like eating anything too heavy for breakfast as we have Christmas dinner at (late) lunchtime. Having said that, I may have to pick up some frozen pastries now...

Gordon Ramsay made muffins with parma ham a poached egg and hollandaise on tv years ago. Dh and dd1 saw it and requested it. We've had it every Xmas breakfast for years now.

I don't have booze otherwise I'm pissed by 10am amd I'm shit at day drinking.
