Most Christmas songs get on my nerves, especially 'all I want for Christmas is you'. And 'Merry Christmas everyone'.

@fairgame84 totally agree about the Elf on the bstard shelf. Never done it with my dc myself who could be arsed. it's all done for social media anyway. "ooo look at what our elf has done today" all trying to out do each other with what their elf gets up to ffs. who's got the time for all that sht.
Bloody Christmas eve boxes too. Never done that one either and never will just honestly don't see the point it's Xmas day the next day ffs why do kids need a box with more sh*te in the night before aswell! bah humbug.

It's not for their kids. They are recreating their own past Christmases, for THEMSELVES.

Christmas in our work place.. a whole programme of Christmas events each working day through December.

The amount of times I was asked if I was sure I diddent want to go to the Christmas do.

Christmas jumper days. I don’t like a Christmas jumper and do not want to wear one.

A surprise on your desk game. Came into the office found a present on my desk then had to buy another one for someone else.

Then despite this game they launched a secret Santa game…. Another present I had to buy.

Then a Christmas raffle but also asked each of us to donate something to the raffle.

Then a Christmas work breakfast ( we have to pay).

A Christmas guess the name of the teddy.

One word Christmas! Couldn’t care less if it got cancelled.
Hard work, expensive, exhausting, blah blah blah !

Im really not a miserable person but this time of year is all of the above and more 😬

Nah I’d never inflict my childhood non existent Christmas days on my kids.

It makes Christmas hard when you haven’t experienced the ‘jolly jolly holidays’ and the only ones you see are the films and Istagram. I flip between thinking I’m doing too much and not doing enough!

Just thought of something else… every radio station plays Christmas songs !!

I also hate Christmas music, especially when they start playing it in shops in October or November. However, on Classic FM, they start it gradually with I think one song a day from 1st December, increasing to all Christmas music by Christmas Eve. I know you'd not want to listen to classical music all day, but it's ok for driving to (much better than Chris Rhea and Cliff Richard etc).
