I know every year it gets slated by the ones who click on It to say how awful it is. But don't know if it would be genuinely insensitive?
I'm only asking because I finally have a proper huge fridge for the first time in years 😀

oh yes, not sure what I'm looking forward to more the pictures or the comments about what awful people we are filling our fridges and celebrating when (insert some reason that does not affect their lives in the slightest) is happening!

I'm poor and I've saved my shitty club card vouchers up so I can have a gluttonous bulging fridge for a week.
In true 70s fashion.
I will not be shamed!

@UrricanesArdlyHeverAppen yes, 3 different temperature controls. fridge at top as normal. Then two drawers below. Large one at bottom is freezer and medium size above can be either. It's brilliant. I can just set the temperature depending on what I'm using it for.

Good for you. I look forward to seeing all your lovely goodies 😋

It’s definitely my favourite thread of the year.

Phwoar nice stacking!

PickledWilly · 19/12/2022 13:55

Thank you! And yes, that is 48 pigs in blankets Shock

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 19/12/2022 13:57

I haven't any photos of anything yet and haven't bought anything but I'm intrigued by American fridges as this is what I'm planning next. Do any of you who have them have any recommendations as to which one to buy?

Thanks! Xmas Grin

I'm in, after a fridge clean on Weds, and my shop delivery on Thurs! I quite enjoy fridge jenga...much better than washing up jenga on Christmas day 🎄

MisgenderedPaul · 19/12/2022 15:06

That's a very organised fridge there, pickled. Looks lovely, but not sure about bread in the fridge? Controversial!!

See I'm OK with the bread, we do the same or the cat will chew it but look at the mayo!? Never enough there imo.

Blenheimprincess · 19/12/2022 15:47

I will join in on Christmas Eve, when my food is delivered.

OutofControl3 · 19/12/2022 16:07

Yep I noticed that bread too! 😅

I love the Christmas fridge thread, my shop isn’t coming until Thursday but I’ve been putting off the pre-delivery fridge clean out all day!

That is one impressive haul of pigs in blankets @PickledWilly. No less than 48 will do in our family either!

Also appreciating the fever tree getting it’s own dedicated space!

ThreeRingCircus · 19/12/2022 16:11

Oh go on then, since as of this afternoon I'm all stocked up!

Although it's bothering me that the labels aren't all facing forwards......not bothering me enough to actually sort it out though, clearly!

7/10 for the stacking, a bit sloppy but you do have enough mayo so I didn't judge harshly. Where's your stuffing though?

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 19/12/2022 16:27

I love these threads! I remember last year though (or was it 2020 it all kicked off so spectacularly?) The first rule of Christmas Fridge Thread is you don't talk about Fridge Thread Xmas Wink Would a Hanukkah Fridge Thread be more acceptable I wonder?

When my shop comes I will post! Before my DC eat it all in about three seconds...

Lookingformymarbles · 19/12/2022 16:48

@ThreeRingCircus lovely well stocked fridge but must be like a game of jenga actually removing any provisions!

I loved last years thread and was about to post when it all went south somewhat. Maybe I'll post this year.

My fridge is sparkling after a thorough pre Christmas clean this morning, just needs filling in a couple of days time when the Xmas shop arrives.

AdventFridgeOfShame · 19/12/2022 17:06

So this thread is doing some good...we are all cleaning our fridges Xmas Grin

My fridge now has see through shelves again.

I have mayo: two open jars of Waitrose essentials and a bottle of garlic mayo, at some point someone will demand I make aioli.

7/10 is generous..... I've just thrown it all in there 🤣.

Sage and onion stuffing balls are lurking at the back somewhere and sausage meat stuffing balls are safely tucked in the freezer. I would never be without stuffing..... it's my favourite bit of Christmas dinner!

PlaitBilledDuckyPuss · 19/12/2022 17:19

There's only two of us so apart from some pate and a selection pack of cheese, our fridge is its usual sparsely filled self. Joining thread from sheer nosiness as to what people with a family to cater for are buying.

SalP75 · 19/12/2022 17:24

Love this thread every year!

Feckinlego · 19/12/2022 17:28

Look forward to this thread every year! Might even post a pic this year.

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 19/12/2022 17:35

I’ve never posted photos before either but I might do so this year, just for the fun of it!

TribeD · 19/12/2022 19:00

I need to clean my fridges first, and then I'll take a photo, but they will be stuffed to the gunwhales. Once I've done my shopping on Thursday I don't intend to go shopping again until 2023!
