Thread 17 - the one with nice slappers

1000 replies

Reastie · 03/12/2022 06:19

@ScarierThanBoo thanks for the title. Hope your slappers keep you lovely and warm and cushion your feet through the winter Xmas Grin

How to do click links -

Do two [[

Paste in your link without a space between the [ and the start of the link
Do one space at the end of the link
Write what you want to appear instead of the link
Put 2 ]] at the end without a space between the end of the word(s) at the end and the ]]
So it looks like www.reastieschristmasbargains.co.uk click here but with no space between the and the start of the link and the next to the here

I hope that makes sense…

Present tracking apps might be of interest eg Santas bag, gift list.

Here are some useful websites:

Amazon free delivery tool here

Aliexpress www.aliexpress.com here . Useful tips here from sorryiasked: Aliexpress is a Chinese site that sells everything! Assume all branded stuff is fake. I personally wouldn't buy baby toys or electronics from there as I don't have faith in the product safety. But for fan merchandise, dolls clothes, "lego", household items etc it's great. Check the size guide on clothes and lower your expectations!
Use a seller who has a 4.5 star rating or higher.

You can pay via PayPal and there is an excellent tracking system, but be aware express postage is usually 2-3 weeks and standard postage up to 2-3 months.

Bargainmax here

Camelcamelcamel is a brilliant site that tracks prices on amazon here

Lisa angel sale is popular when on, apparently arrive nicely packaged too here

Magazine subscription offers here and here

Netpricedirect has discount toys and party bits here although be aware reviews of the site is mixed

Toys for a pound here

Any additional websites or recommendations to add - just let me know Grin . I should add something about Ali express maybe as we’ve had that before…will get my brain thinking about what other sites/products have been popular.

Thank you for the new thread, was good to wake up and finish reading the last one (the nice slappers made me laugh and rewarded me with questions from the early bird children).

Blessedbethefruitz · 03/12/2022 06:40

Has anyone seen any discounts on pandora charm bracelets please?

Joevanswell · 03/12/2022 06:44

If you send over £100 or maybe £150 (sorry I haven’t had caffeine yet!) the bracelet is free

Beautifulsunflowers · 03/12/2022 06:44

Good morning fellow bargain hunters! Thanks for the new thread @Reastie
A few deliveries have arrived this week and the presents are being ticked off the list!

Joevanswell · 03/12/2022 06:45

@Blessedbethefruitz its gold colour or silver and has a snowflake as the clasp

IDontDrinkTea · 03/12/2022 07:01

So I remember a few days ago someone posted an Elsa doll for £8, DD has now announced she wants one and I can’t find it on the last thread. Anyone got the link?

wewishyouamerrychristmas · 03/12/2022 07:01

Morning all. I’m going real life shopping today. Not that impressed by my sparks 12 days of Christmas offer. Did anyone get anything other that money off tonies?

Blessedbethefruitz · 03/12/2022 07:08

Thanks @Joevanswell but it was the cinderella charm bracelet I was after!

I got the chance to win tickets to the snowman gala night.. I wonder if some of these are location based offers?

dizzygirl1 · 03/12/2022 07:16

Blessedbethefruitz · 03/12/2022 07:08

Thanks @Joevanswell but it was the cinderella charm bracelet I was after!

They did have up to 30% off selected charms but I'm not sure if the offer joevanswell has replaced it.

applepinkierainbow · 03/12/2022 07:29

Does anyone know anything about the difference between Gan Cubes and Rubik's cubes for an 11 year old boy budget around £25.....he has mentioned both
Thanks!!

Carrie76 · 03/12/2022 07:33

@applepinkierainbow the GAN ones are speed ones so they move easier and faster the rubix is much stiffer to move. We have both and I suspect the rubix will outlast the GAN.

gawditswindy · 03/12/2022 07:34

Good morning everyone. Not sure why I'm still here as my shopping is all done, as is my money.

Tonie vouchers for me too today. I'm worried my Percy Pig bauble will be OOS by the time I can get to M&S by Monday.

Mrsuntidy · 03/12/2022 07:36

Another one with the tonie offer from M&S.

Went into Asda IRL yesterday and they had loads of yellow stickers at the end of aisles in homeware. Loads of candles etc reduced.

oatmilkisntsobad · 03/12/2022 07:36

My sparks offers
Free pack of florentines
15% off cream liqueurs
Entry in a draw to win tickets to The Snowman Gala
Sounds like I'm doing well compared to others!

4thtimesthecharm · 03/12/2022 07:45

Thank you @Reastie
I got the free gin, but no stock in my local, after the £10 bottle offer I think it might take a while, I'll keep checking back up to the 12th day 🤞🏻

alfiebest · 03/12/2022 07:46

Any one got their Santa sack yet from the handmade Christmas company ? I haven’t got another email since the confirmation email

Justonemorecup81 · 03/12/2022 07:49

Thanks for the new thread @Reastie. @4thtimesthecharm it's worth checking in different aisles got the gin, incase you haven't. I went in yesterday and none in the alcohol section but I found it in one of the fridge aisles. Good luck

Talisin · 03/12/2022 07:53

32% of Tonies for me. I have no kids and don’t even know what they are (Tonies, not kids!) plus there were no Christmas Pervy Percys in store yesterday so I couldn’t even redeem that!

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/12/2022 07:54

Completely missed the last 100 post of the last thread as keep getting and error message and the thread goes white . Hope it doesn’t happen here

Snowdropsarelovely · 03/12/2022 07:54

Had anyone had their smashed grapes tasting pack yet? I've not even had a dispatch email – ordered early November

if you change your talk settings to show 25, 50 or 100 posts per page, instead of the whole thread, it fixes this. I resisted because if a thread you're reading gets deleted you don't get to read any posts on pages you haven't loaded yet

however it does make the site behave sooo much better

I had my dispatch email yesterday with Royal Mail tracking & I also ordered early November, so hopefully you'll get yours soon!
