@ScarierThanBoo thanks for the title. Hope your slappers keep you lovely and warm and cushion your feet through the winter Xmas Grin

Sorry, but that's daft. Not everybody in England is getting free booze, so you're no worse off than those people.

Presumably some people in Scotland are getting it as an offer though, and turn up expecting their gift only to be told they can't have it.

Now I know that some people are finding things are out of stock when they arrive - and don't get their gift for that reason - but that's emotionally different from the item being there, having the offer, but being told you still can't have it because M&S didn't consider Scottish law. It's the kind of thing that really grates.

My scrawlrbox came today, ordered the one with metallic pens and black paper if that’s how they’re sending them.

I'm wondering if any one has recommendation for a kids activity tracker fit bit type thing .

I've bought the Garmin Black Panther £49.99 was cheapest I could find it on Garmin site. Apparently 6yr old my grandson's friends have similar. It came nicely packaged.

stepfordwifey · 03/12/2022 14:06

I totally agree. It's like we're an after thought. If you're in N. Ireland it must be far worse- I see 'excludes N Ireland' all the time!

Puffalicious · 03/12/2022 14:10

I'm done except for hard to buy for BIL. Had a thought of getting an apron and/ or oven glove/s personalised.

Does anyone have recommendations? Know of decent quality? I'd hate for it to be cheap quality when it arrives.TIA

Still in search of a Paddy & Scott coffee code if there's any about. Or even a similar site with a code, just need some cheaper tasty coffee for DP

Did you see if DAD20 still works? It worked for me 2 weeks ago and it had been doing the rounds for a month before that. Worth a try.

SIL has asked for a leather bound notebook- wondering if I should get it with initials stamped on to make it extra special. Don’t suppose anyone has spotted anything bargainous that would fit the bill? Thanks!

That sounds like a great idea thank you. I don’t suppose you know if there are any of those don’t need plugging in or need wifi to run ?

No Wi-Fi needed. You just download the photos onto the screen card then plug in . Hth ☺️

@user143677433 it'll be because of the minimum pricing we have. Can't give away free booze as it's below the minimum price. Can't remember what it is per unit. It's also why any Tesco or Morrisons type adverts on the TV have in tiny writing "not in scotland" when they have beer on offer.

That's exactly why it is. I'd be happy with some Percy pigs tbh instead of a tonies box offer!

Room4onemore · 03/12/2022 15:01

Gutted I didn’t grab some Ugg slippers for my mom

CheeseIsMyPatronus · 03/12/2022 15:03

Now that all the black friday offers are gone, adult DS mentioned he'd like some Lego. ARGH! I bought for the other 2 and saved loads, can't face the full price (or nearly full price) stuff.

princesssugarplumfairy · 03/12/2022 15:29

Hi please can some one help me? I am a long time lurker/rare poster on these threads and love all the ideas and bargains (yes I am a hairy milk sheep and no never got the Dairy milk).... I have my two brothers and their wives to buy for. I suggested not buying presents this year but apparently one has already bought theirs. I have a budget of around £80 per couple but zero ideas. Was thinking of making a hamper but just wondering if I am missing a better idea. TIA

uncomfortablydumb53 · 03/12/2022 15:31

Brilliant. These are such lovely threads and everyone is so helpful

bizzey · 03/12/2022 15:42

@princesssugarplumfairy
The buy - a - gift things are popular.

You could gift them afternoon tea/ Michelin dining experience .
Lots of choices and areas near you .

There were some codes doing the rounds a while ago.

You could also add a babysitting voucher from you if applicable!

bizzey · 03/12/2022 15:43

I think you buy the voucher, they choose where and when .

Don't think the price is advertised on the voucher.

buckeejit · 03/12/2022 15:46

Mapominoes is good fun & small so easy to take along & uses little space!

@CheeseIsMyPatronus Which set are you after?

CheeseIsMyPatronus · 03/12/2022 15:58

@animalcrossingfan2021 the Tokyo skyline - got DD the London one for £26 using BF deals but can't find anything close. Budget is roughly £30-35, and suitable for a 21yo geeky D&D/manga fan

@CheeseIsMyPatronus it is showing out of stock on Lego, I think it will be hard to find as it looks like it is retiring in 2023 so can't imagine there will be many deals on it.

CheeseIsMyPatronus · 03/12/2022 16:10

Thanks for looking, @animalcrossingfan2021 - I'll need a rethink.

IggyAce · 03/12/2022 16:16

@princesssugarplumfairy how about a hamper from Bettys this one is within budget but there are several others for less so p&p is taken into account.

Sisisimone · 03/12/2022 16:29

My case of Malbec has just been delivered from smashed grapes

nicky2512 · 03/12/2022 16:33

Why do I look?! I just had a quick look on Lego to see if there was a small set that would suit my (big!) son as it wouldn’t be Christmas without Lego. Saw the table football! He would love that but was over £200 so no way! Amazing looking though.
Like previous poster looking for something a bit cheaper!
