@ScarierThanBoo thanks for the title. Hope your slappers keep you lovely and warm and cushion your feet through the winter Xmas Grin

We have a more grown up board game called something like 'where in the world'

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 03/12/2022 12:34

Not on the High Street has 15% off a £50 spend with SMALL15 - lasts till 10am on Dec 6
might be helpful for someone
but definitely seem to be fewer bargains this year - feels like these threads are moving way slower than they did last year

Mince314s · 03/12/2022 12:49

Popped this on the old thread but if anyone has the m+s tonies offer and is feeling generous, Birmingham childrens hospital has them on their Christmas wishlist. We were in there recently and there are a lot of kids stuck in the for weeks and months on end. There are cheaper bits on the list too.

Details of the full wishlist are here:

Any deals on gifts for dogs?? Have 4 to buy for!

Not a deal but the dogs trust had a whole section on doggy Christmas presents in store, clearly know their market 😂 I've also been tempted by the tk maxx pet section. Have Aldi got their squeaky sprout dog toys in this year?

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 03/12/2022 12:57

@MarshmallowsOnToast Next does the Victoria Secrets body mists on a deal, so one is £15, two are £22 and three are £27 - which makes them £9 a piece. Still not exactly super cheap, but still...

Need a bargain idea - DD is 16 and is a bit clueless about geography - as in where places are. After another mind blowing conversation where she was shocked to find out the Mediterranean Sea is nowhere near the Caribbean Sea 🤦‍♀️ I want to get her something to help her figure out where places are both in the world and UK. So part jokey present but also semi serious (I cannot launch her into the world like this). I thought a globe but would need more detail and don’t have lots of space - ditto for big posters.
Something stocking filler type and cheap but educational?

Is she competitive? I learnt most of my geography from board games. Anything with a world map would do. Ticket to ride is a good option.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 03/12/2022 12:58

@user143677433 it'll be because of the minimum pricing we have. Can't give away free booze as it's below the minimum price. Can't remember what it is per unit. It's also why any Tesco or Morrisons type adverts on the TV have in tiny writing "not in scotland" when they have beer on offer.

Yes, I agree. And it makes me angry that M&S didn’t consider that.

BloodyMabel · 03/12/2022 13:05

This is a bit of an extreme one but if anyone is making a big Swarovski purchase, there’s £30 cashback on £100 on the Quidco advent today and also if you have it on your American Express offers, £40 back on a £200 spend so possible £70. Probably pointless but just in case it helps someone!

CornishGem1975 · 03/12/2022 13:08

So far on M&S I've had the Percy Pigs, 15% off cream liqueur and the Tonies offer.

Thanks for the Crimpit tip off @CeeceeBloomingdale I’ve been deliberating but it just seemed too expensive. £9.99 I can get on board!

@MerylSqueak Thanks for the George Quidco code tip off too. There's a few bits I want so I'll go and have a look.

Well that’s bloody annoying, and doesn’t it just show how they value Scotland as a market?

Blame your government. It's their laws preventing it.

CheeseIsMyPatronus · 03/12/2022 13:12

@Iknownothing - my brother says the only reson he knows where any country is, is down to a 1000 piece puzzle my uncle bought him.

Hobbycraft had world map puzzles half price last week, might still be available?

Slater22 · 03/12/2022 13:14

Thanks for ideas 😊

That's great. Thank you. Will have a look x

CornishGem1975 · 03/12/2022 13:18

I know there were some looking for discounts on the new Pokemon game etc. Quidco have an offer for GAME today. £10 bonus when you spend £15 or more + 10% cashback.

nickdrakeslovechild · 03/12/2022 13:21

Has anyone had their Scrawlbox delivered? Mine was dispatched last week and still not here.

Lovemusic33 · 03/12/2022 13:25

Marking my place even though I have finished (we’ll kind of).

Had a email yesterday with access to a Hype bunker sale, dd needed some splotches so I managed to get her 4 hoodies and 3 pairs of jogging bottoms for under £60.

Sat in today waiting for several deliveries, one of which I just found in the shed, must have been delivered yesterday. I seriously need to start wrapping soon😬.

MadeForThis · 03/12/2022 13:25

I'm waiting for my scrawlbox and the Malbec tasting kit.

Sorry, but that's daft. Not everybody in England is getting free booze, so you're no worse off than those people. 🤷‍♀️

Lovemusic33 · 03/12/2022 13:26

I am waiting for scrawl box too, have had a notification of dispatch (a couple days ago).

PeeJayDay · 03/12/2022 13:37

My first scrawlbox came today. Haven't opened it. Waiting on 3 more. Plus I've had 3 smashed grapes kits through but not the Malbec yet. Still waiting on a few more

Pigeonnoir · 03/12/2022 13:40

I'm wondering if any one has recommendation for a kids activity tracker fit bit type thing .

Alwaysneedmoresleep · 03/12/2022 13:48

So disappointed with my sparks offers, or lack of!
Almost there with my lists, can anyone recommend a good hoverboard for kids aged 7-9? Ideally ones not too expensive. Seen lots of options but I don’t always trust online reviews so would love your suggestions please
