Joined the queue at 6am, still 85k to go 😴It was so much better back when they used to release them at midnight, used to only take 10 minutes!

The app just crashed again after almost an hour in the queue - from 132k in queue to over 262k! I queued on website as a back up after the first crash....

Gah! Was in my diary but forgot until seeing this. Thankful (I think) and currently 266105.... 😲

App crashed three times now on the website and back upto 250k…..

How disappointing. I thought this was Santa, aged 10,259 doing an AMA.

Ooh now got a time, only 41 minutes to go if it doesn't crash!

People aren’t ordering a full shop, it’s just that the site is so overwhelmed it takes 10/15 mins to check out with you 4 bottles of Prosecco or whatever.
Site keeps saying, “We are having problems updating your basket” then when it finally updates your basket it repeatedly says, “Oops we have a problem, try again” as infinitum…

Just book with Sainsburys people!

Been waiting since 6 and got down to 85000 and 40 min wait. Kicked me out and I'm now on over an hour and 130000. Bugger that!

I've been on an hour exactly now and the queue has decreased by 56,000. So less than 1000 per minute....

Another two hours at least to go by that calculation.

I am obviously a weirdo but despite finding shopping in store a massive hassle during the rest of year, I actually really enjoy doing the fresh Christmas food shop in person. Get up early on 23rd December, be outside the supermarket 15 minutes before opening. It's always quiet and everything is fully stocked. Get myself a treat breakfast for when I get back and unpack it all. 😍

I do a big online order a couple of weeks before for the non perishables though.

App crashed, after over an hour, not bothering now.

Why do they leave it so late?

I got my Christmas Eve Slot with Ocado on the 1st of October and there was none of this queuing malarkey.

If they did it earlier surely it would lessen this bunfight as less people would be thinking about Christmas rather than now.

Anyone who has booked, are they doing Christmas Eve this year? I am sure they didn’t last year.

which doesnt include online.

I set my alarm for 5.40 and was 59k and something in the queue. I got in about 6.45 but the app was very temperamental. It wouldn’t update my basket and I had to reload my card details multiple times.

I remember the good old days when you used to just log in, choose a slot and pay without all this ridiculous queuing malarkey.
