I started checking at 05:30 and at 05:40 I got a place in the queue, took 25 mins and every slot for 22nd onwards would give an error so I slammed the 21st 9am which will do. Mine comes from Durham city.

I got in on the app and had a “something’s gone wrong” message. If you get that then persevere as it cleared and let me book a slot. It had an error on every screen, but they did clear. The system is under huge strain - I’ve just been joking with my husband about what’s going on in Tesco server room right now, I think there’s a bunch of really stressed techies trying to sort it out, he thinks there’s one guy, monitoring it remotely at home going “I told them this would happen, no one listed to me” 🤣

Done! Finally! Took from 6.05am til 7.50am, longer than last year I think?

It won't let me check out, keeps crashing at the payment 😬🤯

Got my slot on the website, 22nd Dec after 2 hours and the app crashing 3 times. Went through fast, no issues.

Yup it did, but it did move quickly and I'm sorted now.....2 bottles I'm and checked out! Hope you sorted!

I joined the queue after seeing your messages, crashed, rejoined on phone, now down to 39 minutes, and booked Sainsbury’s while waiting for this!

I've got a slot but it won't let me check out - keeps crashing (website not app). So bloody frustrating!

Right, I'm done, calm is restored. I picked a c&c though so I could pick it up on the 23rd. I watched the delivery slots for the 23rd disappear beneath my fingers while it was telling me something had gone wrong.

How, oh how, is getting in the queue before 6, waiting ages in the queue, and then finding you can't check out, or if you can, there may well be substitutions or items missing at the last minute when delivered, more convenient than going to the supermarket in person??? Fine if you physically can't get there but I'm making my list (and checking it twice) and driving to Tesco (or Sainsburys, or Morrisons) in person......

That’s not really useful or supportive now is it? My Christmas meat and veg will come from the local farm shop, but there’s a lot they don’t stock…

Good luck to all those still waiting in the queue. There were still quite a few delivery slots left for the 23rd in my area - obviously I know that varies but just as an example (south west).

I guess. It wouldn't fit in my freezer though. Anyway I'm not doing online this year I'm going to see if I can buy a ham nearer the time. If its easier for people to order online I don't see the issue.

I could in theory go to the supermarket in person but I've got two autistic DC and it's absolute hell on a stick. They're struggling with being over-stimulated plus the crowds - balls to that. I'd rather take my chances with an online delivery.

Plus I book for the 23rd so if it does go tits up, I can do an emergency shop on the 24th or late on the 23rd. I'd just rather not have to 😅
