@6poundshower thanks for the title. A stocking finger sounds far too small to fit many bargains in though! 🤣

Apologies for belatedly setting this up - was at a primary tour for potential school for ds and then working. Pesky RL! Hope you can all find me.

My local big Tesco had lots of their bigger toys reduced to clear today, probably store dependant but they had 3in1 Lego sets for £12.50, little tikes workbench for £20 and a really nice dolls pram for £14 (said it was £55 originally!) and loads more!

@Notherereally1 the razor boxes we all got last year were from FFS.

FFS

Looks really expensive this year 😳

When I emailed them to cancel my free trial, they must have sent about 6 emails trying to get me to stay even though I was very clear that I wanted to cancel.

ChristmasCwtch · 03/11/2022 19:32

@torthecatlady I cancelled through the website which was easy. It then gave me a very bargain offer to stay so I did then do another month subscription 😂

We paid a good price last year. I don’t think it’s worth the usual price at all!!

Ruralretreating · 03/11/2022 19:32

Whoever was looking for wooden toy food, Aldi and Lidl had lots last week.

mac1974 · 03/11/2022 19:32

My JL is some free vegan sweets. Probably not with the 40 min round trip just to get them!

FilthyforFirth · 03/11/2022 19:38

Hello, DH has decided he wants to start cooking curries. I know in past years people have used the Spicery kits. Does anyone know of any current deals?! Is it a subscription thing, or a one off purchase?

I can offer Wonderbly (they do personalised books, Lost my name etc) EARLYBIRD gets you 10% off 1 book, 20% off 2 and 30% off 3.

FluffyCat17 · 03/11/2022 19:38

@livingthegoodlife Would the Paperchase one be of interest to her? If you do go for it, last year there was a £5 voucher behind one of the doors but it was only valid throughJanuary so DD and I both lost out as we didn’t realise!

Carrie76 · 03/11/2022 19:39

@Notherereally1 the one from a few years ago was cornerstone went down very well and we still subscribe!

Notherereally1 · 03/11/2022 19:43

@Openmouthinsertfood yes it may have been Harry's thank you

gawditswindy · 03/11/2022 19:44

Just checking in. The DC are pretty much done. Next issue is my 30 something DB who buys everything he needs for himself.

Notherereally1 · 03/11/2022 19:45

@ChristmasCwtch yeah they do look expensive. Might just get them a pack of Gillette between them 🤣

Ooh @FluffyCat17 I'll have a look, I have a feeling they might be a bit pricey but good idea!

Also to the previous poster who helped with the Le Mieux mini pony - I managed to buy her the lot! Discounted & stacked with voucher code too. Thank you.

nickdrakeslovechild · 03/11/2022 19:53

Thank you so much to the poster who put that additional 50% Hype code. I got so much for £45. 3 of the items have now gone up to full price so a backpack I got for £6.25 is back to £25! Tween is going to be very happy.

templesit · 03/11/2022 19:57

Yay found you!

Notherereally1 · 03/11/2022 20:00

Shantotto · 03/11/2022 20:18

Ooh what’s the le mieux discount? I’m thinking of one for my DD who has suddenly decided she likes horses and it’ll probably be the closest she’ll ever get to one! 😬

They do either monthly subscriptions or one off sets. I got the chefs specials kit on a pre order and you can make most of the usual takeaway curries using the spices in it (plus fresh ingredients obvs). The tubs in the kits are mixes used to make their recipes. The other alternative is something like The Curry Guy books or Mistry Ricardo who give recipes for British Indian restaurant (BIR) style curries from scratch. More prep for these (as is done in takeaways- the meat is pre cooked and it’s last minute assembly). I use both BIR books and the spicery. You’re limited to their mixes with them whereas The Curry Guy or Misty Ricardo can use ingredients from anywhere.

Thank you I’ll give that a try
I subscribed years ago when they were a new company and they honoured all of our orders, such a lovely company even more so with 50% off!
