@6poundshower thanks for the title. A stocking finger sounds far too small to fit many bargains in though! 🤣

Apologies for belatedly setting this up - was at a primary tour for potential school for ds and then working. Pesky RL! Hope you can all find me.

On the recommendation of this group I bought 2 of the hooded blankets when 5 pounds stuff had them in earlier. One says Oodie and the other Kuddly.

I have no idea if they are fake or not, but they are both well made and very warm. The ones I saw recently in Next were much thinner, although costing more than three times the price,

paintyhands · 07/11/2022 23:52

Oh yes, based on @Yalz post I should probably say that I’m not suggesting they are genuine Oodies / Kuddlies or otherwise. Mine are brilliant quality too - I thought they were more likely to be seconds / excess stock but no idea really!

flumposie · 08/11/2022 00:18

Thanks for the codes for the metal bird and oodie tee 🙂

Yalz · 08/11/2022 00:34

The most recent hoodie blanket review makes it clear that you don’t know what brand you’ll be getting - that person got one with a Primark label.

@paintyhands , I didn’t think you were saying they were on-brand, I hope you didn’t think that. Based on previous people’s experience they are a good buy, though, and I have ordered another.

They also have dressing up outfits and toys, with a selection of Funko Pop toys for £5 each.

Robstersgirl · 08/11/2022 04:22

Lidl have some great ones in at £4.99. My daughters using them for her GCSE’s and they’re great quality.

IggyAce · 08/11/2022 05:53

@Reastie nearly new thread time.

paintyhands · 08/11/2022 06:54

@Yalz no, I didn’t think you were saying that at all! It’ll be interesting to see what we get - I also ordered another for a gift so I’m hoping it’ll be a good one!

shash1982 · 08/11/2022 07:36

@deeplybaffled they have acrylic paint sets in the works which are a good price, Crawford and something the brand was.

shash1982 · 08/11/2022 07:37

@deeplybaffled Meant to say, we've had them and they're good.

PokemonPasta · 08/11/2022 07:38

Cute Sushi stuff

Snowflakes2 · 08/11/2022 07:50

Just bought the 5 pound stuff hoodie blanket.
Thanks for posting.
Will it be OK for a 15 year old? 5 foot 3 and thin?

lolarabbit · 08/11/2022 07:57

@deeplybaffled As a significantly older beginner I also started with Crawford and Black acrylics from the Works. It's not as pigmented as some more expensive stuff but I've been happy messing about with it.
You might want to consider gouache paint instead which gives a more solid/matt finish as there are some very appealing 'jelly gouache' sets around like this. Lots of YouTube videos demonstrating it if you're unsure.

PokemonPasta · 08/11/2022 08:04

@deeplybaffled hobby craft had a lot of beginner art sets on 3 for 2 last time I was there. I also find the Range Good for basic art supplies.

LemonFrosting · 08/11/2022 08:06

Can anyone recommend a heat pad please? Its actually for me. I'm after one that I can velcro or tie around the front so I can have it on my back.

paintyhands · 08/11/2022 08:06

@Snowflakes2 my tall, slim 10 year old has one from there and she loves it. It’s oversized but very cosy! It’s a Kuddly.

ColeslawSandwich · 08/11/2022 08:21

@hoopdeloop do you have a link to that diffuser? I like the sound of it but can’t find it on Amazon. Thanks
