I am in dire need of inspiration! 🙌

Wildlife camera
Whiskey
L’occitaine stuff
Aftershave soother
Not much inspiration this year
For his stocking I’ve got
Molton Brown shower gel cracker
Bombay sapphire gin and tonic tin
Chocolate
Some savoury snacks
Christmas coal, I’ve ordered this but it won’t come until December
Shave cream
I’m going to get him some bed socks, he’s tall and his feet are usually sticking out of bed

Fucking hell, the poor bastard

I have no idea. He adores coffee, so I’m trying to come up with something coffee related. Not a coffee machine, as he already has one.

any suggestions welcome.

Does he have nice coffee cups? We have Le Creuset ones, both espresso and full sized.

No idea what I'm getting my husband, it was his 50th this year so I used up all my inspiration on that.

Arenanewbie · 23/10/2022 17:28

We are trying to cut stuff so for the main presents I’ve got 2 sets of concert tickets for all of us (obviously DD will have something extra and fancier stuff in the sock)
I hope to borrow some ideas from this thread as my DH is difficult to buy for - he doesn’t drink much, hasn’t got particular hobbies, needs to try clothes on and buys all his gadgets himself.
by the way he recently bought a power bank - it’s great, can’t believe how we lived without it until now.

YorkieTheRabbit · 23/10/2022 17:35

@hotdiggetydog Why?

DelphiniumBlue · 23/10/2022 17:42

For the people asking for coffee related suggestions, this company does the most delicious sample packs of coffee bags. I had one for my birthday, can highly recommend them.
New Kings Coffee

YorkieTheRabbit · 23/10/2022 17:35

@hotdiggetydog Why?

Just a load of shite

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 23/10/2022 18:21

Blimey @hotdiggetydog, not sure why you think that. I think Yorkie's list sounds like what most people buy their OHs.

What do you buy yours?

Parmesam · 23/10/2022 18:25

The CoLC is nipping at my heels so he's made a list, I've made a list and our budget is as little as possible.

He's a Warhammer fan so I'll fet him a new figure to build or paints. Plus a bottle of good rum.

YorkieTheRabbit · 23/10/2022 18:27

@hotdiggetydog 🤣 luckily I’m not buying it for you.
I know what he likes 😊

CoffeeChocolateWine · 23/10/2022 18:31

@BallyAllyBuzzyBee, thank you for the recommendation! I've ordered the mezze legend kit for both my DH and my DF!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/10/2022 20:09

We've said we're not doing much this year. I'll probably get him a new dressing gown and some local beers.

Caughtupinsomething · 23/10/2022 20:15

We are mainly just buying for our dc and acouple of relatives. I'll probably just get something from the dc for dh and maybe aftershave or a belt (he really needs a new one), bed socks (he doesn't wear slippers), acouple of small things like his favourite chocs etc. We get so much for the dc and also have birthdays around Christmas so these days we really don't need any added pressure of gifting each other.

Bridetobe9 · 23/10/2022 20:34

We are getting married on Christmas Eve so Christmas presents will be doubling as wedding presents! Plus we’ve spent a fortune on the wedding. He’s getting,

Aftershave
Boxers/Pjs and slippers (nice ones)
Cufflinks

Then probably a jacket, some other clothes, stocking fillers like coffee pods.

I want to get him something as a reminder of the wedding day but unsure what at the moment.

Awrite · 23/10/2022 21:31

@Bridetobe9 Lovely time of year for a wedding.

I'm so niave, I actually thought @hotdiggetydog's comment was about the dh being too tall for his bed.

lorn195 · 23/10/2022 21:39

@Bookaholic73 I'm buying my DH another 12 month coffee subscription as I bought it last Christmas and tonight he has asked for another one.

Imissmybabygirl · 23/10/2022 21:43

Nothing, he is very capable of getting himself expensive gifts 😄

Only getting gifts for children and my mum.

TreacsPotNoodle · 24/10/2022 08:45

Gap t shirts
South Park monopoly (we're both big SP fans so I guess this is partly for meGrin)
Ysl fragrance
Slippers
Socks
Moisturiser hair wax etc in stocking

changer121 · 24/10/2022 11:55

We have booked a weekend away together as our present to each other as we definitely don't need more stuff and we will enjoy this far more .

Justjoinedforthis · 24/10/2022 17:44

I know this is not an inspiring answer, but a few years ago we agreed to stop getting each other Christmas presents, and it was such a game changer : no worrying about what to get, or if the other person had bought something better, saved so much money.

Oysterbabe · 24/10/2022 19:09

Thank you for this thread. DH is SO SO hard to buy for. I can't buy him clothes as he is so picky, I wouldn't get it right. Generally he is a very fussy person. We both love coffee and gin but we have enough to last a year. The Echo Auto is perfect. We have Alexas all over the house but he doesn't have one in the car. I think there's a reasonable chance he might actually like it. He has a birthday before Christmas too but it's a start. At least I have something.

parkrunpenny · 26/10/2022 14:45

I'm thinking of UGG slippers for my husband. What's the sizing like? He's an awkward size 8.5

Tinytortilla · 26/10/2022 14:49

An ooni. I’m really excited to give it to him, we’ve never been able to afford presents for each other but we’ve both got second jobs and saved a bit each week to buy each other something this year

Mrsfussypants1 · 26/10/2022 17:58

@parkrunpenny DH has ugg scuffs and found them true to size. I think they were snugg at first but with them being sheepskin & suede they naturally stretch a little. He was always adamant he wouldn't wear slippers, they've been worn every single day since he received them.

parkrunpenny · 26/10/2022 18:05

@Mrsfussypants1 thank you! I'll be purchasing a pair of size 8's for him then. Looking at his old ones from Next, they're stretche beyond belief.

FallHappy1 · 26/10/2022 23:48

Some tops and t shirts, aftershave, pyjamas and Slippers, chocolate
