I am in dire need of inspiration! 🙌

We're having a baby so keeping to a strict stocking budget - he's getting
Coffee
Beard oil
Slippers (I think Fitflop ones if anyone has feedback on those!)
Epsom salts
Socks

Inextremis · 20/10/2022 18:42

@jocktamsonsbairn this is it: www.celticwhiskeyshop.com/Tuath-Skellig-Water-Dropper

jocktamsonsbairn · 20/10/2022 18:44

@Inextremis thanks, he's not keen on too much water in his whisky so this could be a contender!

ThreeRingCircus · 20/10/2022 18:45

DH also loves coffee and presents that have gone down well in the past are:

Double walled coffee glass/cup (like a PP)

Le Crueset espresso cups

Airtight storage canister and scoop for keeping coffee beans (you can get nice ones specifically for this purpose)

The World Atlas of Coffee book by James Hoffman

Thermos/reusable coffee mug

This year he's getting:

A bottle of brandy or gin
A bottle of aftershave
A metre box of Jaffa cakes
Bamboo socks

Probably a jumper. He says he doesn't need or want anything. But he does want a nice soft jumper but isn't prepared to buy it himself. Then, for the next 16 months I will curse him for either never wearing it or not reading the label and putting it in the vigorous wash and relentless tumble dry side of the laundry hamper until I get sick of it and shove it in with jeans and socks and ruunit so we will never have that particular discussion again.

misskatamari · 20/10/2022 18:51

I'm getting mine this "open circuits" book www.geeky-gadgets.com/open-circuits-book-05-10-2022/ as he thinks it looks cool. Also some board games (got my eye on Moon Adventure, and I want to get Flamecraft as a nice new family game). I'm also hoping to make him some crochet amigurumi characters from our favourite anime show

Boxofsockss · 20/10/2022 18:53

Not much as we are moving but so far on the list I have some hotel chocolate sachets for his velvetiser and some teeth whitening strips (only because I have some and he wants them 😂)

Kimya · 20/10/2022 19:01

He wants a leather notebook cover for some reason. So that, some books, maybe a shirt or maybe one of those experience things like supercar driving. Then his stocking will have sweets, whiskey, a little card or quiz game thing.

GettingStuffed · 20/10/2022 19:04

Japanese cleavers, some beer glass pasta (already bought) I usually get him coffee, some mustard/chilli sauce etc for his stocking

Plump82 · 20/10/2022 19:11

My husband's birthday is just before Christmas so I haven't decided what I'm getting him for what but I've bought him the following -
Coffee machine
Samsung table
Tickets to see Jon Richardson
A beaded bracelet
Fancy coffee
Coffee liqueur
Lots of toiletries
Chelsea Peers jammies
Candle
Chocolates
A big box of different jelly sweets

And I think I might steal a PP suggestions of le Creuset espresso cups.

I'll decide what's birthday and what's Christmas when it comes to wrapping them!

New head torch

CakeEatersRUs · 20/10/2022 19:12

Darts holder
Electronic dart scoreboard
Socks
Beer
Malteasers
New travel coffee mug

QuietYou · 20/10/2022 19:13

No idea. He's become horrendous to buy for.
He needs gloves but he could do with them now rather than in a couple of months.

HauntersGonnaHaunt · 20/10/2022 19:21

Cheese

Do you have a link to the crochet amigururi? My DP is into anime and he would love this.

Devo1818 · 20/10/2022 18:11

Oh and a big mug, he loves tea and one is never enough.

I have a big mug. It's fab!
The tea does get cold quickly though so I also have a heated coaster.

Where is the pasta from please?

Bookaholic73 · 20/10/2022 17:41

I have no idea. He adores coffee, so I’m trying to come up with something coffee related. Not a coffee machine, as he already has one.

any suggestions welcome.

Coffee grinder, we have one gathering dust in the utility room you can have!

WonderingWanda · 20/10/2022 19:35

A Sushi making kit. Some clothes. A posh notebook. Some Silent Pool Gin. Not sure what else yet!

FourChimneys · 20/10/2022 19:40

We have agreed a £5 limit. Probably a charity shop book and some chocolate. We are going to have an extra holiday next year rather than buying stuff.

Cait33 · 20/10/2022 19:45

Outdoor pizza oven here 😋

ivfbabymomma1 · 20/10/2022 19:51

A bottle of aftershave, an iwatch, harry potters version of cards against humanity and an ET teddy (a joke we have kind of gift)

escapingthecity · 20/10/2022 20:07

One of those key locator things to put on his keyring because he's always misplacing his keys and taking the spare set out of the drawer and it drives me bananas.

Rupertgrintismyguiltypleasure · 20/10/2022 22:18

He’s asked me for a specific book, so I’ve ordered that, I’ll also get him lush, some new trainerS, maybe some new jeans as his are looking a bit worse for wear, and a few tshirts. Also chocolates.

Zipps · 20/10/2022 22:50
