Those who have received their orders from The Original Party Bag Company, can I ask how long it took between dispatch and delivery, and who the shipping company was? Mine was marked as shipped on the 20th but nothing since! Thanks.

I ordered on the 20th, received it yesterday.

Raindancer411 · 26/08/2022 22:00

Am after a make up/nail painting kind of gift for a 10 year old niece. Any ideas please? Preferably under a tenner.

TeapotReady · 26/08/2022 22:10

@Reastie please can you add a reminder of present tracking apps to your intro on next thread.
I use ‘Santas Bag’ app but know that there are others. Really useful to keep an eye on spending and remembering what I’ve bought and hidden. Thank you for all these threads.

I have android and I use gift list. Handy as it saves previous years I think...

Does anyone have any recommendations for those towelling changing robes? I would like to get dds one each for Christmas as we are going to start swimming more (age 14 and 10 so probably adult sized?) Preferably a bargain, not the microfiber (dd1 struggles with certain textures) and one that doesn't shed!! Thank you!!

And someone shared that bargainmax has 25% off. I highly recommend the harumika sets for budding fashion designers! My dd is 10 and she's spent hours with hers so getting her another couple, and going to cut up some of our scrap fabric too! They are £5.49 and £6.49 without the discount so very reasonable!

Smyths have quite a few lol omg dolls on offer. Quite a few for £14.99, and fairly new releases too.

peasando · 26/08/2022 23:57

Was someone looking for a Vans code? I just had an email saying they have an extra 20% off sale items with code EXTRA20

Ehunt1 · 27/08/2022 00:45

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts thanks for the Harumika set idea, my daughter will love these. I’ve bought her a couple to try,

IggyAce · 27/08/2022 05:41

@Raindancer411 Have a look at Revolution for an eyeshadow pallet my dd loved them age 10. They have sweet treat theme and often team up with Disney or Friends.

There is a Simpsons collection atm that could be good for her?

Also Disney: www.revolutionbeauty.com/uk/en/collabs/disney?page=1

And LOADS of other collabs that might be age appropriate (Bratz, various Disney, Friends, Nightmare before Xmas, Coke, Friends, Batman, looney Tunes and... Def Leppard?!)

Raindancer411 · 27/08/2022 06:49

Thanks both

psuedocream3 · 27/08/2022 07:31

Thanks @nocutsnobuttsnococonuts for the Harumika sets from Bargainmax with 25% off code, free delivery over £10 works before code, so two sets for approx £8 with free delivery. My fashion design obsessed daughter is probably a little bit older than the intended age group but for around £4 a set makes it a nice extra gift.

InDreamland · 27/08/2022 08:06

Molton Brown have up to 25% off at the moment. Looks like 20% off but is 25% when spending £80 or more. No code needed, discount automatically applied. Offer ends Monday. If you have an AMEX card check your offers before making a purchase. I got 5% back on my AMEX card too so double discount.

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/08/2022 08:09

For vans sign up on the app and to vans rewards. It’s not brilliant but ok.
jd sports and ASOS do a lot of vans too and often have discount. Depending if what you want is there. The London shop is epic for an experience to customize you shoes for free.

Fuckingfuckssake · 27/08/2022 08:11

Anyone like to refer me to Revolution Beauty? Could you pop it on the referral thread please? Ta.

OutofControl3 · 27/08/2022 08:20

@peasando I missed NERF GUN £15 Amazon had it in basket and it went back to £50 but this morning it's £15 again!

Jellybum2019 · 27/08/2022 08:37

Gruffalo and Friends advent calendar is available for preorder at £10.99 on Amazon, it has 24 mini books based on the Julia Donaldson characters each with activities in. Suggested age is 3-7. Sorry can’t link but if you search ‘gruffalo advent’ it’s the first one. Looks fab for any Julia Donaldson fans!

peasando · 27/08/2022 08:37

Thanks @OutofControl3 !

Burnt0utMum · 27/08/2022 08:44

La Redoute have a very good sale on at the moment. Just picked up 2 dressing gowns for the kids for £10 and £13. Free delivery with code FREEDEL no minimum spend. Also go through Top Cashback.

Adelais · 27/08/2022 09:05

Animal Duplo Train down to £10 on Amazon amzn.to/3QWNAqV
cheapest I've seen it so far.

BuffyFairy · 27/08/2022 09:29

Please could someone recommend a hoodie blanket for a tall but very slim 11 year old DD. Bonus points and eternal gratitude for panda or cat print but plain is fine. She’s 5’1” already and growing like a sunflower 😁.

I ordered ones from £5 pound stuff and while lovely and thick, they are so wide I think it’s way too wide for her.

I ordered the navy one (had Oodie label, cuffs are good but hoodie itself very wide. The tie dye one had a kuddly label, felt very thick and snuggly but cuffs are wider than the Oodie one so I think would fall down and overall very wide. Both wider than my Sienna one. The kids dinosaur one had a cotton on kids label and will be perfect for my DS. Shame they don’t do a 11-13 in kids size.

Scout2016 · 26/08/2022 21:43

Someone was after Polly Pockets I think. Bargainmax have a few in their sale with a code for extra 25% off over the bank holiday.

It was me.
Thanks for this I've just finished my Xmas shopping for my niece

DrAddisonForbesMontgomery · 27/08/2022 10:11

Thanks everyone for the Gabbys Dollhouse input & thanks very much to @ppsuedocream3 for reminding me about the entertainer code.

Ordered the dollhouse this morning & the deluxe figures to go with it for the price I would have paid for the dollhouse elsewhere with free delivery.

I decided its not worth the risk of not being able to get it further down the line, and if it's popular (which it seems to be) 20% is probably about as much as I'm likely to get off it anyway 😊

ChristmasSirens · 27/08/2022 10:13

@BuffyFairy - I think the point is that they are wide? 😊
