Here we go...thread 2.

@crazybaubles needs to do her thing on the last thread. Bruce, Bruce, we want Bruce!

Rain has just started now. Temp is dropping tomorrow but not as dramatically as was predicted a few days ago.

Vasectomyreversalhopeful · 29/03/2022 17:40

We have so many bees in our new garden and butterflies. I have been going out every day just to watch them Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 29/03/2022 20:12

It's definitely getting colder here. Heating is back on for a bit! No snow forecast here, but we don't get it very often. We do have 'feels like' -4° for a while though. 🥶🥶🥶

WreckTangled · 29/03/2022 20:18

We've put the heating back on too, I'm freezing!

Morning!

DH has just jumped out of bed to get our washing in. It hasn't rained yet, but is due very shortly!

I'm feeling a bit rough. I think it's my hayfever, as I've been a bit slack with my antihistamine tablets. Need to make sure I'm taking them!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 30/03/2022 06:37

It's mild here. Seems like it rained overnight and might do later too.

Ds' cough is so bad. It was ok overnight but in the day it's awful. Might keep him home today if he's still coughing when I get home.

NoWordForFluffy · 30/03/2022 07:33

DD is jealous of her classmates who've been off, but asymptomatic! 🤦‍♀️🙈 Obviously not your DS, Wreck. But DD wants time off, but as she's not got Covid, that's not an option!

Our temp isn't too bad. It's set to plummet from now though. We've only just had massive rain. The forecast keeps changing, so I'm not sure what it's set to do for the rest of the day.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 30/03/2022 07:42

Ds is ok in himself but he said his throat hurts, he can't stop coughing and his nose is sore where it's been running. Ive got a half day today so will keep him home and hope the rest helps him a bit!

CrazyBaubles · 30/03/2022 09:00

Morning. Temp has dropped here and it's meant to be drizzly all day.
I put the heating on yesterday and am attempting to use the heated airer as a make shift heat pad / electric propagator for my chilli seeds.

Fluffy my hay fever is going bonkers too - I blew my nose so much yesterday I had a nosebleed (and another at 2:30 this morning just for good measure) 🙄

I'm supposed to be going to an in-person team building meal out this afternoon which I'm looking forward to.
LFTs aren't mandatory but I'm going to do one this morning anyway.

NoWordForFluffy · 30/03/2022 13:39

God, it's miserable and cold here. The lounge had dropped to 16.4°, so we've just had an hour of heating! It's only just over 18° now. Bit of a contrast to the start of the week. Sigh.

Sorry about your nosebleeds, Crazy. Mine affects my ears and head mainly, so I'm all fuzzy. Not keen!

It's like an old folks home in here...bloody boiling 🥵
DH is happy and asleep the plumber wasn't joking when he said we'd notice "a bit" of a difference. 🤔😲🤦‍♀️
🍹🏝🏖🥵

CrazyBaubles · 30/03/2022 18:17

I'm just in from finally meeting my team in person. It was a really nice afternoon. Can definitely see some boozy after work catch ups happening when we go back to the office...

Cold, grey and raining here, and yet my eyes are still feeling scratchy and dry.

puss if your DH is asleep, would he notice if you turned the heating down?
Do you have a thermostat you can control from your phone? I sometimes turn it down that way when DH has the house to warm Blush

I think I'm going to start cross stitching a simple Santa Christmas card this evening as it's been a while since I did any stitching.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 30/03/2022 18:31

Crazy my phone is 15yo, definitely dumb not smart Grin I could chuck it at the thermostat (set at 19) but doubt I'd hit it.🤦‍♀️

Sad news about Bruce retiring from acting. We may need extra vests at the end of the thread.

NoWordForFluffy · 30/03/2022 18:35

Maybe turn it down to 17° and see if that is better, Puss? I hate a too-hot house. 🥵🥵

I've not stitched in ages because I hate backstitch. I'm waiting on some Aida arriving to do a sampler for mum and dad's golden wedding later this year. I'll get back into it with that.

Morning!

It's very cold. The car is frozen, which doesn't often happen here!

At least today is going to be sunny, which will warm the lounge. We may get away with less heating today!

OP posts:
pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 31/03/2022 07:30

erm, snowing ☃❄
😻

CrazyBaubles · 31/03/2022 07:57

Morning. Very cold here too. Sun is out but I've checked the forecast - apparently we'll be getting up to 7° but it'll only feel like 3° 🥶
We've taken the heating off timer but I've had to switch it on this morning!

Have you corrected your last cross stitch Fluffy?

I started this card yesterday (pic) - simple and shouldn't take too much time which is all I've got the head space for right now.

CrazyBaubles · 31/03/2022 07:58

Pic didn't attach Blush

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 31/03/2022 09:10

Hmm, well that didn't last long!
The sun's out now, all snow and frost has gone.
Bit chilly in the wind.

I haven't done much since Christmas. I need to get back into it, now the days are getting brighter.

NoWordForFluffy · 31/03/2022 12:30

Yes, all corrected, Crazy. Just the outline to do. Cute card! Xmas Grin

Just realise I bought the wrong size Aida for the GW one. Argghhhh.

Bright sun but freezing here.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 31/03/2022 16:44

fluffy what do you need - aida, obvs Grin I have quite a bit tons of the stuff

NoWordForFluffy · 31/03/2022 17:10

It's 16ct. It's this one I'm doing. Would've been cheaper to buy the kit at this rate!

OP posts:
pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 31/03/2022 17:17

If you're careful and don't bugger it up and need to unpick some you could get away with 14ct.

NoWordForFluffy · 31/03/2022 17:19

I have a huge amount of 14ct here...might end up using it, though I did order more 16ct today! Can never have too much Aida. Or can you?! 🤔🤔🤔
