Sorry about the horrible period fluffy Cake

That does sound a bit disorientating crazy Grin

Says up to 24 degrees here on Friday, am finally going to move my tomatoes outside this week!

NoWordForFluffy · 13/06/2022 09:37

Morning!

It would appear that yesterday was my worst day and my period is now more normal. Hurrah!

Sounds like a typical family meal, Crazy! And you get to do it all again at Christmas. 🙈🤣

Dreaming, I have much better results from tomatoes in the greenhouse, so my three plants are staying in there can't really get to them thanks to the lemon tree though!.

Morning!

The weather is so lovely. Finally getting a summer! We don't have the hideous temps that most of you have forecast though, thankfully. And where it does get warm, they're tempered by the coastal breeze.I'll need to go and water the allotment tomorrow though.

DreamingofItaly2023 · 14/06/2022 08:35

Yes if I had a greenhouse I would definitely keep them in there fluffy. Hopefully in a year or two I will :)

glad the period has calmed down!

beautiful morning here too, sitting in the sun and admiring our lovely view.

CrazyBaubles · 14/06/2022 10:13

Morning. Another hot day here (getting up to 21° apparently).
I'm hiding inside with a fan at the ready.

I haven't bothered attempting tomatoes as I don't really like them however, my chilli's and peppers are still living on my conservatory windowsills.
I've started putting some of them outside in the days but not sure that's doing much tbh.

I also seemed to have somehow dwarfed my sunflowers Confused Two of them are only around 1.5 for tall but seem to have stopped growing.

On the plus side, we had my home grown strawberries as part of a dessert yesterday and they were bloody lovely.

CrazyBaubles · 15/06/2022 09:29

193! It's bloody boiling here already not really, I think it's around 20° but I'm on the train and I'm melting
Office day for me today which I'm actually looking forward to. Short office hours though - 10 til 3:30 so I can miss the rushes at both ends.

I finished knitting my first ever thing yesterday. It's a very basic square with knitted border and a square in the centre made of alternating knit and purl rows. I figured I should start basic, like I did with crochet when I made eleventy billion granny squares 😂
It's not perfect but I'm quite pleased with it.

Next mission is to master my sewing machine because I have no idea what differences the settings make and sometimes end up with random cotton loops underneath 🤷‍♀️

NoWordForFluffy · 15/06/2022 10:04

Morning!

Don't know how warm it is outside. It's 20° in here, but doesn't feel that warm. I have cold hands!

Happy birthday to @WreckTangled today!

My head is mashed after drafting a Court document. Gonna see it to my manager to review and do something easier next! 🤣

Happy Birthday @WreckTangled 🎂🎈🥳 Hope you've done something fun today!

Fluffy I hope your day improved after you posted.

My day in the office was good but I did have to log on for a few hours when I got home which I hate doing.

Spent a nice 20 mins in the garden watering plants, rearranging pots etc and now just waiting for it to be an acceptable time to get to bed in 10 minutes

DH has been working stupidly late every night for the last few weeks. Used to be until around 8:30 but he's starting later and literally shutting down to go to bed. It's really annoying me and makes for a lot of lonely evenings for me 😡

NoWordForFluffy · 15/06/2022 22:08

I had to go and water the allotment after dinner. It's nice there when it's peaceful! Such a bloody long winded task though, due to crap water pressure.

I treated the birds to midweek food, as they'd eaten everything from Sunday. Hungry time of year!

Morning!

Looks like another lovely day today. ☀️

Crazy, I missed that but about your DH. What's got into him? Is it unusual work demands or something else? It seems weird to do it every evening. I hope he stops soon so you aren't lonely. 😟

Right, best get up. Another busy day ahead.

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 16/06/2022 09:21

Morning.

Fluffy DH has taken on some extra bits and pieces as a way to get him ready for the next step up as missed out on it a few weeks ago.
I understand that he has more work but I just feel that he isn't managing his time as well as he could / should. I don't imagine for a second even the people who are at the level he wants to get to are coming home, eating tea then working until bedtime every night.
It's also meant me doing more around the house than usual and I'm not happy about that tbh.
We can't talk about it for a while though as MIL is coming tomorrow and staying until early next week.

Plus, to add to the stress, I made a mistake in work yesterday and have to fix it today

I'm waiting for our female cat to come in , I am knackered but not at work on a Friday so I'm planning to put all the lights out so she thinks we're not waiting for her . Little Sod

On the subject of cats , I haven't seen pussycat on the thread for a while ...?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/06/2022 10:00

Ten to two she came iin
Ten to bloody TWO
Walzed in , eats supper , then while Im locking up , she wanders over and has a huge noisy pee in her tray and sauntered upstairs . Xmas Hmm

At least my son sends me a text to say "Go to bed Mum, I;ve got keys" , I thought he was my unreasonable child Xmas Grin )

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 17/06/2022 11:00

I picked my son up at that time 70. I don't think he did a wee in a tray but then he was in a funky mood so I left him muttering to himself downstairs.

CrazyBaubles · 17/06/2022 12:28

What a disrespectful stop out 70! 😱

It is very hot here. No clouds, no breeze, just sun and heat. I'm melting 🫠
I've set up a fan on my desk and another on the floor for the dog.
On the plus side, I've emptied my wash basket

The big bosses have decided as it's so hot here, we can all finish at 3 today which is nice.

CrazyBaubles · 17/06/2022 12:30

Ooh posted too soon!

MIL is due here at 4 ish so I'm going to finish work, remake both beds, shower and sit in front of a fan until she arrives

NoWordForFluffy · 17/06/2022 16:50

Afternoon!

Dirty stop out cat, 70! (And son, Why!) 🤣🤣

It's not stupidly hot here actually. Hurrah for the coastal breeze!

I need to go shopping. Not sure if I'll go tonight or first thing in the morning. Will have a think and check my Nectar offers to see if any decent ones expire today.

Morning!

Urghhh...just swallowed a fly. Bad timing for breathing in there! I'm on the way to Sainsbury's for my early morning walk to do the top up shop.

DH is probably doing Parkrun and it's also haircut day too. Not sure on plans thereafter!

The dickhead who lives opposite was indulging in some van fuckery at 5.30am, which was nice of him. He's the type of twat who can't bear to use his drive in case somebody parks outside his house. He used to park his work van over next door's drive, blocking them in, til I complained to his work! Such a knob.

OP posts:
whydoesitalwayshappentome · 18/06/2022 09:56

Oh no Fluffy swallowing a fly is most unpleasant.

I was woken by the blokes of the household going to work just before 05.30. My son particularly was in a very jovial mood.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/06/2022 10:17

Eat a spider as a 2nd course Fluffy , you know how the song goes (but stop before the horse )

I got a fly in my eye once it was hideous , it came out in bits ( urgh) and I could imagine it leaving its shitty feet germs and laying its maggoty eggs on point of impact ....

Back in the Real World , tears have an anti microbial content , my eye was safe .
Stomach acid will kill anything you are safe .

My NDN building work is fairly low level noise but the whole street is taken up with the vans and cars ( OK , slight exageration)

NoWordForFluffy · 18/06/2022 11:12

I don't think I want to make a habit of eating bugs etc, 70! 🤣🤣

Building work is annoying. Our neighbours use a firm of very loud builders. They annoy me!

OP posts:
whydoesitalwayshappentome · 18/06/2022 11:27

Ewwwww 70 the fly in your eye coming out in bits made me feel a bit queasy.

I found what looked like a fly leg on the wall of the bathroom. Where the rest of it was is anyone's guess.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/06/2022 10:13

189 into the 180s Xmas Grin

DS and DD have given DH his Fathers Day cards , the cats bought him a pack of beers

We had a good old thunder'n'lightning storm last night , clears the air , much less oppressive today .

NoWordForFluffy · 19/06/2022 10:30

I'm on the way back from the allotment. I went first thing to get back in good time for us to go to a fun day at the botanic gardens here.

Thankfully the sun is coming out now. It's been 🥶🥶 this morning!

Morning! It's such a lovely morning here. Sunny and warming nicely.

We have another injured leg starling. A juvenile one this time. It's so sad. 😟

I've been on the cross trainer this morning for the first time in ages, now I've decided not to do overtime anymore. It was tough-going for the last 5-7 minutes, but I managed 30 mins! I'm going to build my stamina up before turning the difficulty up, get back into it properly!
