Oh actually it now has a really faint line.

Dh has taken the tree down Shock meany.

PussyCatEatingPigsInBlankets · 30/12/2021 12:51

Wreck at least is has saved a job for WreckCat 😹 and DH can deal with the needles.

ConstantlyChristmas · 30/12/2021 15:27

Luckily our neighbours are away and have said we can add to their recycling bin. We send so few cards now the children aren't at school that I can't summon the enthusiasm for the sales. Nothing has caught me eye online and I haven't visited any physical shops since Christmas Eve. I usually pick up some nice bits for stockings but have lost my sales mojo!
Looking forward to a relaxing afternoon with film and choc as I haven't had any downtime- I've had a great time but just need a couple of hours to switch off!

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 30/12/2021 18:28

Did your PCRs appear, Wreck. Do you have a local priority box? Is your DH going to have to drive miles to post them?!

What a bloody day. I've worked from 7am til 6.15pm without a break. I am done in. And to really make matters totally shit, the Court made a mistake and the hearing I was doing wasn't meant to be listed; it was another claim, but they'd got the case number wrong! Wasted about an hour of my time over the course of 90 minutes, on hold waiting for the hearing which was never going to start! 🙄 Sigh.

'Interesting' re Sainsbury's, Puss. God knows what's going on. Surely they don't want to stock it until next year? Xmas Confused

Constantly, I need neighbours with spare recycling space!

Fluffy that's ridiculous. Hope you get a restful evening. The PCR's did come and we have a priority post box in the village so dh walked up and posted them.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 30/12/2021 18:52

fluffy That's not on. I suppose at least you didn't have to physically attend the court.
Did you know there's a Biffy Clyro gig at Chester on Feb 11th.

Wreck don't overdo it. Folding was enough for today.

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 30/12/2021 19:05

I was concerned I'd missed a gig then, Puss, but it's a tribute act (Biffy McClyro)!

And yes, I had checked with my colleague that it wasn't a video hearing, to make sure I didn't have to wear a suit. 🤣🤣 At least if I'd gone to Court, it would've been spotted by the usher when I got there. Rather than poor Legal Connect people having to keep ringing us to put us on hold...I had to make loads of small talk with the other side's solicitor for ages. It's tricky on the phone!

I'm doing two more hours overtime tomorrow, as I still have loads of tasks to do. It'll make January's pay nice and healthy if nothing else!

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 30/12/2021 19:09

Oh God! You're right! The bloody advert has a photo and says in BIG letters Biffy Clyro and it's only in the smaller print which I can't bloody see properly due to an afternoon unpicking that it says "Mc".

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 30/12/2021 19:19

Unpicking?! What went wrong?

I've not stitched in ages. I struggle when I've worked long hours. No motivation!

OP posts:
pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 30/12/2021 19:26

Wrong colour thread and then my crosses were back to front iyswim.🤦‍♀️
If only it was as quick to re-sew it as to unpick.

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 30/12/2021 21:19

Ah, yes. I've had instances of such nonsense too!

I need bed soon. I'm knackered!

My eyes keep closing and I can still see sodding xxxxxs
🥱

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 30/12/2021 22:22

I'm off to bed now too .
I don't wok on a Friday so I can have a lie-in and hopefully stay awake for The Bells .

My DD did a LFT -negitive , my DS has done a positive LFT so he'll need to keep in isolation .
He is desperate to go out ( to the gym not a NiteClub) but he's really not well enough. Poor lad is going a bit stir crazy and not sleeping because he's not physically tired .
I did suggest he could clean the downstairs loo , he uses it most , the look I got would be a "Helll No , Mother"

Sp plan tomorrow (when I roll out of bed) is some cleaning , get the DC to clean their rooms and have a nice NYE dinner .

2021 hasn't been the best I have to say . I'll be glad to see the end of it

Morning!

I need to get up very soon...start work! Hard slog this week.

I went to sleep on the sofa last night. Couldn't stay awake! Tonight could be similar. Rock'n'roll. 🤣

Have you been working from home this week, 70? At least you have today off. Encouraging that your DD hasn't caught Covid from everyone else in the house!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 31/12/2021 09:39

Morning. Food shopping coming later, apparently we have to leave the bags outside for the drive to put the shopping into and then wave through the window Grin I'm feeling up for a shower today and maybe folding some more washing. Will see how I go. Ds can do his first early release test so we will see what that is in a minute.

WreckTangled · 31/12/2021 09:48

BFP for ds Hmm he's the only one who's not been symptomatic. I'm going to get him out into the garden today though.

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 31/12/2021 09:55

Is your DH still negative, or does he have it now?

OP posts:
pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 31/12/2021 10:44

Wreck A little bit of child labour - DS can bring the shopping in for you Xmas Wink

WreckTangled · 31/12/2021 10:45

Still negative! He'd rather get it as is planning on going self employed this year so doesn't want it then Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 31/12/2021 17:10

Yes , I was a couple of days WFH Fluffy , I do prefer being in the clinic face-to-face ( although I have a bit of a drive to get to some sites , unlike my DH who WFH all the time since Covid and literally walks downstairs into the dining room to switch on his computer )

I made a lush lasgane for dinner , it's cooking away to itself as I type .
Chicken for DS , chips , garlic bread .
Then lard about watching rubbish TV Grin

No washing tomorrow (clothes) its unlucky .
Wether I haul my carcass in the shower remains to be seen.

Vasectomyreversalhopeful · 31/12/2021 17:51

Ooh lasagne sounds good 70! We are getting our first take away since moving, Indian :)

Just ordered my veg seeds for this year from Premier seeds. Not doing too much this year as need to get the garden how I want it. Ordered:

Broccoli
Carrots
Parsnips
Runner beans
Peas
Various herbs
Cucumber
Red cabbage
Leek

MIL is giving me some garlic. Need to get potatoes to chit too. Then just get some fruit bushes and trees. Friend gave me tomato, pepper and chilli seeds already :)

CrazyBaubles · 31/12/2021 17:54

Wreck I know the Covid stuff sucks but 🥳🥳 for your DH deciding to go SE - you've been wanting him to do that for a while haven't you?

This is a Very quick check in from me. After some family drama on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and the day after, I was upset and stressed so DH booked a few days away for us so we're on the coast until Sunday.
I'm deliberately avoiding my phone for big chunks of time so probably won't catch up now until Monday.

WreckTangled · 31/12/2021 19:50

Yes crazy years and years. I'm not expecting it for a good few months. With dh you have to be gentle, so as not to spook him Hmm I'm slowly getting there...

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 31/12/2021 20:32

As in going to work with the other brother? It's quite good if you're paid via CIS, as it's 20% of everything, so you get a nice bonus when you do your tax return each year. DH used to do his the minute the tax year ended to get the overpaid tax back!

I do love a lasagne. Must make one soon. 😋

Crazy, sorry it's been stressful. I hope it can be resolved. Flowers

We have the kids in bed and are about to sit down with cheese and crackers. My boss let me finish early today (I was very pleased, as I was flagging big style, as I hadn't taken my lunch again!), so I went to Sainsbury's at about 4, rather than after 5. The last three days have wiped me out! I have got my tasks down to about 26 for Tuesday though, which considering they were sitting at about 140 yesterday is no mean feat!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 31/12/2021 20:39

We love lasagne too. When I make one I always do extra and ds takes it in a food flask for lunch at school.

Yes fluffy although he's got other people asking him to do work for him(!!) but he's still worried about not having work etc which I do get but I can't see it happening.

Crazy I hope you enjoy your time away and come back feeling refreshed
