I'm sitting smuggly hopeing I'm all sorted and ready. I am racking my brains for things I need to do and can't think of anything! It feels weird to be sat here not stressing, I'm sure there must be things I've forgotten! Now I'm stressing because I'm not stressing!

wrap up a fish tank, make the trifle, tomorrow do stuff like make bread sauce, wrap the sausages in bacon and peel the veg but they are the fun bits and can be done with the kids. Have very half-heartedly cleaned but have abandoned it in the knowledge that no one else gives a shit so am going to take a hot bath and read a crappy mag

Buy animal fodder & bales of shavings.
Collect turkey.
Wrap DCs presents.
Make bread sauce & peel veg.
Ice the christmas cake.
Air guest rooms & decorate with holly etc.
Fill petrol can for chainsaw.
Deliver some cards.
Iron the DCs favourite clothes.
Attend crib service tomorrow afternoon.

And clean out the hen house - how festive is that?!

Pebblemum · 23/12/2007 15:55

Ive got to wrap a few more presents, a bit more washing, tidy the bathroom (ds2 washed his paint pots so i now have a blue and red sink and pack our cases for Disney. Oh and change all the beds.

Hopefully i can get it all done today and for once spend Christmas Eve relaxing

lyra41 · 24/12/2007 08:20

Just the bed to change now, so I can go to bed on Christmas Eve in my ultimate luxury - clean sheets. Small pleasures eh!

I've done a bit of light floor mopping this morning and a bit of tidying but that's about it for housework.

All presents wrapped and ready (I hope!), all shopping done, all meals planned, washing fairly up to date , I think I'm ready for Christmas!

moonmother · 24/12/2007 08:29

All presents wrapped...took me ages this year

All shopping done, apart from few little bits from local corner shop...I'm not braving supermarkets again

Last load of washing waiting to go in

Rabbit needs cleaning out,may delegate that to DD

Then just polish the lounge and hoover everywhere.

Last thing is bath the Dc then bed for them then I can have a lovely bubble bath, and a nice relaxing evening with Dp ,before putting pressies out.

carries · 24/12/2007 11:29

One present left to wrap - 5 minutes

Bathrooms are clean

Tidying and cleaning of dining room still to do.

Veg prep and make the stuffing.

And deliver cards to neighbours.

Going to MIL for dinner tonight so will put out presents under the tree after DC are in bed.

I am organised! Except no Petit Filous yogurt for DDs! Will they cope or will i need to hit the shops one more time?

Merry Christmas!

PS - It helps that my Most DH has taken the girls out all day! Oh yes I still have keep the laundry going too!

Bainmarie · 24/12/2007 14:04

I am all done, feeling smug (first Christmas ever that I have beenin this situation!)
