That's it.

unknownrebelbang · 21/12/2007 22:43

Wrap a couple of presents.

Pack.

AMerryScot · 21/12/2007 22:46

For our secular Christmas, we have everything left to do. I think I may hit Tesco at 5am, just so that we can survive as a family of 7 eating two meals a day for the next few days. Need to do something about presents too - there's always Christmas Eve.

The most important thing we have to do before Christmas is write our intercessions - we, as a family, are reading prayers in Church on Christmas morning.

Crunchie · 21/12/2007 22:48

Wrap some pressies (all the DD's)
Tidy up a bit
Collect turkey
Deliver some godparent pressies
Write and deliver local cards (nice wander round the village)
Buy a veggie main course for me, can't be bothered to make one as it is just me

NOt really that much tbh, tomorrow I should get most of that lot done and I have promised DDs we will go to the cinema and out to lunch. Sunday we are going to the ballet, Monday I am working until lunchtime, so afternoon will be food prep I guess.

I feel sure I have forgottn something fundamental as I am v v chilled about it all

amytheearwaxbanisher · 21/12/2007 22:49

nothing at all......except alllllllllllllll the wrappingim hoping te wrapping fairys shall come tonight!

discoverlife · 21/12/2007 22:57

Do some last minute non-esential pressy shopping, so I can take it easy this time and enjoy the atmosphere.
Do normal shop on Monday.
Make up spare bed for daughter and boyfriend.
Resist the urge to wash everything in sight just because I have visitors.
Ooops- send landlady Christmas card. (gem of a landlady).
Last minute pressy wrap.
Go to hospital for X-Ray on Christmas Eve, and take DH to see his specialist at 4pm on Christmas eve as well.
Go to pictures Christmas eve.
Tidy house top to bottom (resist urge to wash sheets, they don't need doing).
Try not to get stressed.
Priority- Get rid of cold.

cobysmom · 22/12/2007 00:49

As far as I can remember:

  • Wrap all presents
  • Buy a couple more presents
  • Pick up prescription from Boots (will get above pressies while in there)
  • Clean the house
  • DH to fit new door on the lounge as the handle fell off grrrrr
  • put all hallway furniture from DD1's bedroom back into the hallway (we were supposed to decorate but DH has been ill so I want it all put back so it doesn't clog up her room)
  • Food shop

I never did get round to writing out my christmas cards - should I bother now? Most people know I've been in hospital with DD2 aged 3 months but I'm worried thats no excuse!

OverRated · 22/12/2007 01:18

tidying
sorting
cleaning
making stollen (need to do that now but don't have a recipe)

lyra41 · 22/12/2007 08:02

Def don't bother this year purple tinsel, everyone can have a year off, and with your hospital hassle this year, everyone you care about will understand. x

Well I need to go to work today.
I need to go to work on Christmas Eve

I still need to wrap all the DSes stocking fillers, and their other pressies.

I am being expected to go out and shop for pressies from PIL and step MIL, DH's Nan, His Aunt, BIL and SIL and countless other relatives who have apprently sent money for the DSes and our Christmas, but none of it has arrived (some hasn't been posted). I'm not doing it though. I am grabbing one more present for DS1 at work today and that's it.

Make mince pies
Chill wine

dooley1 · 22/12/2007 08:17

wrap aout 5 presents
pack to go away first thing tomorrow
wash and dry clothes so I can pack
clean house because as soon as we get back inlaws arrive
moan and attempt to motivate dh to go into town today to put a cheque in,sort out a mobile phone contract and buy some wrapping paper
then moan at him some more to wrap his parents presents as they will be arriving an hour after we get back from my parents and there will not be time (the bold bits shrieked at him in a panicked harridan way!!

ChristmasSendsMePsycho · 22/12/2007 08:19

FAR to much......

altho DH has had his xmas pressie early, so that deed is out of the way.....

mrspnut · 22/12/2007 08:34

I've got a few presents to wrap, need to clean the house and do all the laundry and then pack the car for going to my MIL's tomorrow.

I battled my way around the supermarkets yesterday so we've got food to come home to after christmas.

TheBlonde · 22/12/2007 09:02

lots of laundry
wrap a couple of items
pack our bags
someone will have to go to the shop for some dinner for tonight
may have to make mercy dash across town to give tlc to best friend
tell Santa what I would like
