EEEE YAHOOO but I'm getting all excited

pollyannainexcelsis · 20/12/2007 18:06

send cards (oops )
wrap all presents
buy mum and sister's bf a present, and a couple of little presents for the dcs (they have asked FC for some felt tips that work )
ice cake
make mince pies
do Sainsbury's shop
make food things that can be made over w/e (breadsauce etc)
buy some flowers

in my defence 3 of my children and dh have been ill for the last 3 weeks so I haven't got out of the house, and haven't ever had a babysitter so have done all shopping online.

I don't feel stressed about it though - it's only one day.

Cappuccino · 20/12/2007 18:07

find the energy to get out of bed

LyraSilvertinsel · 20/12/2007 18:08

make birthday cake for ds2 who is 10 on sunday. Organise party stuff for ds2....

Tidy house.

Pack to go away

er that's it. Buggrit, anything not done now can just bugger off.

yulemoonfiend · 20/12/2007 18:13

that sounds smug. Perhaps i should mention am going to sister's huge, cavernous, freezing house in middle of nowhere so need to squeeze into small car, 2 adults, 2 children, 3 duvets, 6 pillows, wellies, dressing gowns, all outdoor gear, sledge for over-optimisitc son and that is before all the pressies....WAH!

TroutSprout · 20/12/2007 18:33

not much really..errm..
clean house (actually that is quite a biggie)
put away shopping when it comes
pick up turkey
make mince pies and sausage rolls

Hulababy · 20/12/2007 18:34

All presents bought and most are wrapped up, have about 4 or 5 to wrap but can do them anytime.

Tomorrow - Sainsburys shop being delivered in morning. Then DD and me will give the house a good tidy/clean. And then we have a party in the evening and staying over at my parents.

Saturday - DD staying at my parents all day and sleeping over. Nothing to do for us all day as friends coming over to stay and going out for meal in evening.

Sunday - Collect Waitrose shop (used their online collection service) and bring home. Hopefully no subs from online shops or else may need to call in at local shops for bits, fingers crossed though. Then go to my parents for afternoon; my auntie and cousins will be there. Must take my cousin's baby's present over (all rest for my parents house have been taken there already).

Monday - visiting PILs and DH's grandad. Must take presents over. All are wrapped and ready to take. Will come back home early evening (ish) and get ready for Father Christmas coming

lizziemun · 20/12/2007 19:58
  1. Wrap dd2 presents.
  1. Wrap dd1 stocking fillers - Just waiting for them to go to sleep so i can do it.
  1. Clean house from top to bottom.
  1. Do the last of the washing and ironing
  1. Do last ASDA shop on saturday. Tesco coming on Sunday.
  1. Make DH take the rubbish to the tip as he has decided to tidy up storage room.
  1. Decide what we are eating for christmas dinner either Rib of Beef or Pork and get out of freezer on sunday.
  1. Deliver last presents to friend.
  1. Finish decorating 2 christmas cakes. Give 1 to sister for her DH in exchange for Veg she is getting from her local farm shop.

So only bits and pieces but i will still be rushing around come christmas eve .

Ice cake
Clean house
Pack to go away (Sunday we're off to my sister's)
Finish making tea cosy for dh (don't laugh, he wants one for his teapot - I have knitted it, but need to sew up etc!!!)

DanJARMouse · 20/12/2007 20:24

Wrap last few presents
Girls stockings - will be easy enough, tesco trip at silly o clock in the morning!
Dads stocking - not so easy, but hopefully still tesco!
Pick up pheasants on christmas eve
Get croissants and bread on christmas eve

Thats it!

moondog · 20/12/2007 20:27

Are you having pheasant for Christmas dinner then JARM? Nice!

Cali,you're coming home?
When are you flying?

Bluestocking · 20/12/2007 20:27

Why are you all cleaning your houses? Don't laugh, this is a genuine question.

SnowMuchToBits · 20/12/2007 20:30

Where do you buy croissants in Felixstowe JRaDM? (Might be useful)

I am cleaning house because

a) It is dirty
b) We are going away and I hate coming back to a dirty house.

Maidamess · 20/12/2007 20:30

All I have left to do is gird my loins ready for visiting my parents on saturday. Not the highlight of my Christmas!

BadKittenInAPearTree · 20/12/2007 20:31

Califrau - keep going you can do it!! then when you get on the plane demand wine as soon as you sit down. Give kids to unsuspecting fellow passengers and declare yourself on strike.
Do you have to change planes?

flowerytaleofNewYork · 20/12/2007 20:32

LOADS!

Miaou · 20/12/2007 20:33

I have to ...

Finish crocheted edge to blanket (commissioned Christmas pressie and I'm cutting it fine!!)
Wrap presents

Dh has to ...
buy veg (already bought meat and drinks)
make Christmas cake (Delia's last minute one, lol)
make mince pies

... but it looks like he is coming down with the d and v bug that ds1 and I have had, and ds2 has now got ... so might all go wrong!

Oh how lovely.
When I fly with kids and dh i insist on having a seat quite far away from them so i can sit and drink wine and pretend i am a carefree single person.
