Bonkers Santa request

My nearly 3yo DS has announced that the present he wants most of all from Santa is binbags 🤦🏼‍♀️ apparently it's 'the best present for me mummy!' and he wants them to put rubbish in. It's been a non-stop stream of excited binbag-related babble all morning. Wish he could have decided something that isn't a suffocation risk 🤦🏼‍♀️ has anyone else had any outlandish last-minute requests?

Colleague's kid wants a pasty

DD announced at 7pm tonight that Santa's bringing her a car! She is nearly 3, hasn't asked for anything and now announces she's very excited about getting her car!

Santa's sleigh has no room, but at least we have an idea for her birthday 🙈😂

Paperclips, I bought a tub of mixed coloured ones and amused him for ages clipping them together in a chain🤷

@DueyCheatemAndHow wonky donkey is a series of books, and you can get the toy.

5yo DD asked for some crisps a few years ago, crisps were delivered, she declared it was actually for everybody to share «I only asked Santa so it would be free» Grin

Dh is a total fanny and asked them what Santa was bringing about 10 minutes before bed. They are NOT getting:

A peacock costume with REAL feathers
An Egyptian castle with a tower with an Egyptian princess
A playmobil mermaid
A REAL fairy castle with REAL lights and REAL fairies
A dinosaur that eats cars
A HUGE bag

None of this has ever been mentioned before. Dh is a chump for asking.

Scooters. That's what they're getting.

3 year old DS revealed 2 days ago that he wants a green present. No reference to the contents of said present just that he wants it to be green. Looked everywhere and couldnt find any but thankfully got some from Amazon which arrived today

Pucarbuile · 25/12/2021 00:06

I wanted a pink yacht and a green sports car when I was 5. Still waiting. 9yo ds has requested requested a real mustache. Definitely not a fake or stick on one, one that grows out of his face. Confused

DD (5) might be very disappointed in the morning when she realises that Santa has not turned her into a mermaid.

We're doing our best - she sleeps like the dead so we've got one of those knitted blanket mermaid tails and some under the sea bedding and we're going to try to wake up before her and wrestle her into the tail and change her duvet.

So, the reaction to the binbags was excellent 😆 proper squealing, bouncing excitement. Then he saw the selection of dinosaurs Santa also decided to bring. Handed me the binbags and said:

'I think this is YOUR present, mummy.'

Ah well 😆 Merry Christmas all!

That is a brilliant update!

My 7 year old wanted a packet of plain white paper. I thought he would forget about it. Turns out he didn't as he asked me where it was this morning!

Shallwegoforawalk · 25/12/2021 10:41

@Rathmobhaile

My friends daughter asked for a particular page of a toy catalogue. She meant of course all the toys on that page. Santa brought the page of the catalogue. Laminated.
Brilliant. How did she react? Grin

This is adorable. I hope you managed it.

My 4yo asked FC for a packet of Post-It notes last year, and they were indeed her favourite present! If only everyone was so easy to please. Smile
**@doodlejump1980* and @shreddednips* my friend crochets comfort potatoes- they are incredibly comforting to hold in the hand. It's like a magic spell.
I need to know more about comfort potatoes. Just the same is strangely comforting Smile

Frlrlrubert · 25/12/2021 13:51

Thanks guys - I managed it, but she climbed out of bed in such a way that she left the tail behind without noticing.

She was impressed with the magic bedding change though. Also very excited that the carrots we left had been munched.

Sux2Buthen · 26/12/2021 11:07

@shreddednips the tinfoil lasted about ten minutes but the litterpicking continues
It's a million pound idea Grin
