Bonkers Santa request

145 replies

shreddednips · 24/12/2021 11:01

My nearly 3yo DS has announced that the present he wants most of all from Santa is binbags 🤦🏼‍♀️ apparently it's 'the best present for me mummy!' and he wants them to put rubbish in. It's been a non-stop stream of excited binbag-related babble all morning. Wish he could have decided something that isn't a suffocation risk 🤦🏼‍♀️ has anyone else had any outlandish last-minute requests?

Took the kids to see Father Christmas, they were 5 and 6 at the time. My son asked for a chain saw and my daughter a gun. Father Christmas looked horrified!

@shreddednips @RevolutionRadio

Not marshmallows, packets of tissues. He pulls them out of the pack and waves them around making a woooo sound = ghosts 😂

When dd2 was 3 she asked for a cuddly carrot. This was many years before Kevin the Carrot, and such a thing was not easily available. I ended up getting her a dog toy carrot which she was delighted with and still has with her cuddly toys.

@DueyCheatemAndHow

Nothing odd ball but my 3 year old has asked for 'wonky donky books and a Christmas bear.

Starting to think he is the ghost of a victorian child.

@DueyCheatemAndHow There is actually The Christmas Bear book by Axel Scheffler (mine adore it, it's erm well loved shall we say? ) Can't help on Wonky Donkey, but maybe someone else knows that one?
DueyCheatemAndHow · 24/12/2021 18:10

@haba hmmm maybe that's what he meant!

We know the wonky donkey series so that's fine

Tiredalwaystired · 24/12/2021 18:19

When my daughter was three she asked for a “flying pony”

Hurrah for playmobil Pegasus!

soundsystem · 24/12/2021 18:36

4yo has asked for a chocolate sock. After some questioning, we we established that he wanted to eat it, rather than wear it.

Last year he asked for "a singing fish to cuddle"

PolarBearYumYums · 24/12/2021 18:48

I’ve name changed for this as anyone here who knows me would recognise the cake.

Polar bears have been a theme for a few years and this is the cake I had made for my boy by a friend a few years ago.

Donteatpurplebroccoli · 24/12/2021 18:58

Our almost 4 year old has asked for a whale! A really big whale!! We have explained Santa can only bring presents which can fit in the house so hopefully he’ll be happy with his cute whale hottie!! Also a yoyo which was actually harder to find!! Grin

iklboodolphrednosedpaindear · 24/12/2021 19:01

That's a brilliant cake!

orderagain · 24/12/2021 19:23

When my son was about 5 he was obsessed with the film Oliver! He asked Santa for a Lego workhouse. We tried to persuade him to pick some Lego Batman or Harry Potter instead, but no, workhouse was the request!

I love this 😆😆😆 I'll never call them a packet of tissues again!

This has really floored me 😆 I've had a lot of Prosecco and I just can't stop laughing 😂

My son has asked for tinfoil and a litter picker

noodlezoodle · 24/12/2021 20:04

Thank you @stilldumdedumming - I think you can tell her she'd have lots of customers if she opened a comfort potato etsy store!

I'm really looking forward to seeing this thread tomorrow when presents have been received Smile

He could team up with my DS and start a small, eccentric cleaning business

@Runningmummy41

Mine wants a penguin, like a real actual penguin. Apparently it’ll sleep under his bed on a block of ice 🤪🐧
I'm in my 30s and still want a penguin!

You'll have to read 'My penguin Osbert' too him. He may change his mind!

Icantremembermyusername · 24/12/2021 22:02

Dd asks for blu tack every year!
She also asked for a working typewriter @Pinkflipflop85 She genuinely thinks it's not going to appear but I have it sitting in the boot of my car! My dad has lovingly cleaned and oiled it. I bought a new ribbon and my mum tested out all the keys. I'm looking forward to seeing her face tomorrow!

Leodot · 24/12/2021 22:23

This thread is wonderful! My DD is only 9 months old so hasn’t asked for anything but I can’t wait until she’s old enough to😍😂.

LouLou198 · 24/12/2021 22:31

DD when she was 3 - a T-Rex, a real one, to keep in the garden Grin

AledsiPad · 24/12/2021 22:33

DD wants a white board for her bedroom, "so I can write things on it then I won't forget to do them."

I have a huge whiteboard by the front door with a weekly schedule, appts, meal planner on etc and she loves it. Grin

One year she asked for Baby Jesus. Real Baby Jesus. Funnily enough Santa couldn't deliver that one.

xx18921 · 24/12/2021 22:33

@Leodot ditto my DD is 3 months but I can't wait for the magic of Christmas when she understands and for the bonkers requests. This thread has made me chuckle!
