Puss their stockings always contain pants and socks (nice undie sets for DDs) and I was under the impression that he was ok for pants so hadn't bothered getting them. However he did mention that he might need some more as some of them in his drawer are age 12 must do a clear out over the holidays Blush

PussyCatEatingPigsInBlankets · 17/12/2021 10:43

Woolly In that case, get thee to Next! Grin
and don't tell him you've been discussing his pants on t'internet
Shock

PussyCatEatingPigsInBlankets · 17/12/2021 10:44

Bloody lightning at the Cricket, so the Umpire has taken them off! grrr.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/12/2021 10:54

I buy my DC underwear in their Dec 1st Hampers (basically replenish my DS years worth of new pants/socks/loungwear/pyjamas)

Next trunks and some Ted Baker from TKMaxx this year (TKMaxx are a good searching ground )

I bought Vicroria Secret for DD (usually VS Pink but they didn't have much ) It is really weird they have the knickers displayed on a drawers unit , then you rifle through to find the size/colour (like raking through a strangers knicker drawer Xmas Confused )

TheWoollybacksWife · 17/12/2021 18:33

I have twitched! Pants bought.

How are you feeling after your booster Fluffy?

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 17/12/2021 19:33

Fine! I was a bit fuzzy-headed for most of today, with a lingering headache. I'm OK now though, just a bit tired.

I'd have twitcher too, Woolly! 🎅🏻🎄

OP posts:
ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 17/12/2021 19:35

Twitched.

My arm is sore too. But, could be worse!

OP posts:
TheWoollybacksWife · 17/12/2021 20:55

That's good Fluffy. I had a very sore arm on Tuesday and overnight (as in, I woke up if I turned over onto it) and thereafter it was only sore if I leant on it or pressed on it.

CrazyBaubles · 18/12/2021 06:25

7! 🎄🎄🎄

No idea why I'm awake this early on a Saturday 🙄 but I'm refusing to get out of bed until at least 8.

Plan for today is an early Christmas with ILs today which should be fun Xmas Smile

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 18/12/2021 07:35

Morning!

A week to go! 🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄

I'm gutted that AJ isn't able to be in the Strictly final tonight. I wanted her or Rose to win. I think Rhys should be brought back to make it 3 couples again. Sigh.

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 18/12/2021 13:03

How is it just a week to go already? 😳

I've failed to watch any strictly again this year - I'm a thread failure Fluffy

We're just back from a long, lovely, cold dog walk. Going to quickly stick some eyeliner on, get changed then go to FILs Xmas Smile

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/12/2021 14:15

So far in My House of Horrors:

DH isn't well , cough, high temperature ( negitive LFT and PCR)
DD had her booster this morning , so now having a nap (I think tomorrow she'll be poorly arm territory)
DS having his on Friday (so post vaccine poorly arm on Christmas Day but as he's a Little Christmas Grinch , I wont notice the difference Xmas Grin )
I'm halfway through cleaning the bathroom (Oh the glamour)
One of our cats < yes you , female moggie> knocked over a cup of -thankfully cold- coffee which went everywhere but she didn't get burned .

Posted my DMum present
Need to wrap a few presents

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/12/2021 14:20

I've haven't watched Strictly either Crazy (any year not just this year )
I also have no clue what's happening in Emmerdale or Corrie ( watched 5 minutes of Corrie . Fizz's New Blokes Mum Nightmare but I didnt get further than that )

Eastenders is on track to be it's usual miserable self this year . (as per )

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 18/12/2021 15:04

I don't watch any soaps, so am totally clueless about all of them!

I hope your DH is better soon, 70.

I'm on a Santa train right now. We have our own compartment; it's very posh! 🎅🏻🚂

OP posts:
70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/12/2021 20:16

Hopefully this time next week we'll be bursting out of our tights full of Christmas Dinner , watching some TV rubbish (or Hi-Brow ) and debating if another slice of cake is really a good idea Xmas Grin

I will need to do a Stealth Raid on Sainsbury for my vegetables and last minute perishables , probably Thursday (I've booked off the 23rd)

I have A Christmas Fridge but we're not allowed to broadcast that , there was a right pile on one poster who was showing their fridge contents (along the lines of Read The Room./some people have nothing ). So no photos of my fridge .

How was The Santa Train Fluffy ? We did a couple when our DC were little , they were lovely , freezing cold and a proper steam train.
One of them we went to Santas House ( a little wooden hut with a woodfire ) another one he walked along the carriages and chatted with each child . Of course it was magical and The Real Father Christmas Xmas Grin

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 18/12/2021 20:31

We do them every year (other than last year, obvs), 70. Always proper steam trains. We had our own little compartment today, and Santa came to us. I am also now out of Whamageddon! 🤣🤣

I won't be wearing tights next Saturday. Pyjamas, maybe! Or leggings. Comfy clothing. I also don't eat Christmas cake! But I will definitely be considering more cheese!

My Christmas fridge won't be sorted til CE, as that's when I'm collecting my Booth's order (mainly cheese!), salads from Sainsbury's and more cheese from our local cheese shop. That thread was bonkers 70! It's an annual thread on here...hopefully it will be done again this year.

CrazyBaubles · 18/12/2021 21:43

70 I hope your DH, dd and DS feel better soon.

I remember the Christmas fridge thread - it was a horrible pile on wasn't it. Complete bloody madness - anyone who can afford to fill their fridge does so 🙄

DH is now off for Christmas and I'm working next week (plus he's the chef) so he's in charge of organising our shopping. Turkey has been ordered and will be collected Thursday and all other meat has been delivered and is in the freezer.

He also had a load of chocs, sweets and beer as teacher gifts so we don't need to buy any so shopping will mostly be veg and cheese!

Santa train sounds like a lovely day Fluffy

Home from our early Christmas with ILs which was a really nice day. Good food and company and too much wine. We've been led on the sofa completely stuffed for the last hour.

And finally - I was listening to It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas today and realised the words are "Is the wish of Barney and Ben" not "Bonnie and Ben" as I've thought my entire life Xmas Blush

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/12/2021 00:04

Oooh it's getting nearer Xmas Grin

One of my neighbours (not sure which 'cos I'd need to look out the back window) is having a noisy party , probably trying to squeeze it in pre-Lockdown.

There's a couple of houses that have form (not NDN so at least I'm not too close )
Just waiting for NDN dog to go off on one to put the icing on the cake Xmas Hmm

WreckTangled · 19/12/2021 06:41

Morning. I woke up at 5:20 which is annoying. Ds and I are just opening the next five days of our advent calendar Grin still won't believe we will make it to Edinburgh until we're at the airport! This is what we have planned:

M- ice skating at the market and afternoon tea at the dome
T- the zoo including the lights
W- the castle
T- nothing planned, any suggestions?

We've got an apartment so we can come back and chill when needed, watch Christmas films etc.

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 19/12/2021 06:46

Morning!

I'm awake too early. Sigh!

It would usually be allotment day today, but I'm at a stage where I don't need to go, so I'm not going to! I was going to start the upstairs big clean tomorrow, now I'm off, but I've decided to start it today as I have other stuff to do during the week now.

I've booked to take the kids to Clifford's Big Red Dog on Weds pm. I have no clue about it, but I reckon they'll enjoy it!

PussyCatEatingPigsInBlankets · 19/12/2021 07:22

Morning.
Thick fog here, can't see a thing.
Listening to the Cricket again. Grin These pink ball tests are a godsend to my sleep!
70 glad your girl cat escaped unhurt, how are her humans today?
Wreck Have a fab time.

WreckTangled · 19/12/2021 07:52

Thanks!

Our washing machine is broken which is inconvenient. The powder isn't emptying from the drawer, the drum is making an awful noise and now the door handle has broken so dh has to stick a knife in it to open it every time HmmGrin it is.... 13 years old or so.

ConstantlyCooking · 19/12/2021 08:03

Hope you DH feels better soon 70.
Fluffy- the Santa train sounds great. Definitely something to look at doing with DGD, DS and DIL one year. DS loved Clifford when he was young.
I switched on the Christmas fridge yesterday- mainly for the freezer so DH nobody can accidentally eat Christmas food too early!
Enjoy Edinburgh Wreck! We had a lovely break there with DD a few years ago. There is a lovely fudge shop (Fudge Kitchen) if you need extra sugar to beat the cold!

Christmasalwayshappenstome · 19/12/2021 09:33

Morning folks. Have a good time Wreck. It is my birthday today so I am sat on the sofa in my new sloth slippers waiting for my daughter to arrive. I am off out for dinner with a couple of friends later which I am looking forward to.

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 19/12/2021 10:02

Happy birthday - again! - Christmas! 🎂 🎉
