Best and worst Christmas films?

I love Home Alone (1 and 2) and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Not keen on the Polar Express although I want to love it. I think it's to do with the ticket blowing away and it being inevitable and it makes me twitchy.

What are yours?

I like The Princess Switch 1 and 2, Christmas Chronicles, Elf, Gremlins, Home Alones, Nativity.

I absolute cannot abide Love Actually except for the Rowan Atkinson scene

Although it's Thanksgiving rather than Christmas, it has to be Home for the Holidays with Holy Hunter, Rob Downey Jr, Claire Danes, Dylan McDermott & directed by Jodie Foster.

CANNOT find it anywhere, which makes me cross every Christmas! Such a shame as it's laugh out loud funny.

Oh and I've tried to watch the Holiday twice and didn't get very far either time

I love die hard and lethal weapon, home alone 2 and also bad mom's xmas.

The ones I hate: any made for TV rubbish which is like Jezabelle Innocents gets a new job/place to live and first hates Joe Suavington the 3rd until he helps her with a disaster and she realises her ex Nobby McBAdguy isn't the one for her

I quite liked love actually when it came out, now I can’t even bear to sit through an advert for it it’s so cringe.

Hate Last Christmas, watched on netflix last week, not impressed ❌

Watched Love Hard on netflix too which is a Christmas film and really enjoyed it! Especially their opposite version of Baby it's cold outside.

I also can't stand Nativity! So bad. Elf is okay, I do watch it once every year.

Jingle all the way and Die Hard are my favourites. Also a fan of Miracle on 34th Street (the more recent one).

Muppet Christmas Carol is my fave of all time.

Least fave (discounting channel 5 made for tv type dross), maybe The Holiday. Have never liked Home Alone either.

I cant see how Die Hard wouldnt be a Xmas film is Love actually is. They are both just films that take place at Xmas time.

Last christmas was so cheesy and disappointing

I love Christmas with the Kranks, but only if watching with my husband because he hates everyone in their neighbourhood and his face is hilarious when he's watching it.

The Star is a kids' film but I love it too.

Jingle all the way...live it so much I've even visited the diner where Arnie and Sinbad have their heart to heart.

Best Hallmark type film...the Christmas Card. I can almost recite it word for word!!!!!

A Diva's Christmas Carol is a great favourite, but It's a Wonderful Life just beats it to #1

Elf is annoying, and Love Actually is horrible.

Die Hard and Gremlins are both on the Christmas films shelf of the DVD collection .

Love The Coopers initially seemed quite good but had a super creepy sub plot where the loveable old grandad imagined he was still a young man in love with Amanda Seyfried 🙄. Actually he was less a twinkly old dear more a plain old perve.
