Thinking this thread could be used to post a quick list of what you still need to buy on your Christmas Gift list this year and people can maybe point out or offer any bargains / places / where you could get those items reduced.

Still outstanding for me:

 • Minnie Mouse Jumperoo
 • Jo Malone perfume
 • Amazon Kindle x3
 • A stuffed dog teddy

All of them! I'm in denial lalalala (puts fingers in ears) lalala!! 😂

BirdyBirdyTweetTweet · 18/11/2021 17:09

Yep another one for all!

Kennykenkencat · 18/11/2021 17:23

It isn’t even December. I haven’t even thought of what to get.

Well maybe this thread can inspire or help you to think of some?

@foxgoosefinch

I still need to get:
 • some prints made from a previous photoshoot
 • gift bags for teacher presents
 • 2 x extra bottles of mini Prosecco to add to teacher presents
 • cat toy for mum’s cat (need to take DD on a shopping trip so she can choose it 🤣)
 • instax camera for DD plus film

I think I’ve got pretty much everything else. Though I’m sure there’s something massive I have forgotten and will only remember around 22 December!

Haha cat toy shopping trip sounds amazing

@snugglyblanket

Just DH to buy for. Doesn't need anything, hobby is his work so not short of anything. I've already got the traditional socks!

I buy early to avoid busy shops, the idea of a big festive shop with the hustle & bustle is much nicer than the reality. I give myself time to wrap before DC break up for holidays & have gifts ready for people we will see in the run-up. 5 weeks can fly by, especially if you factor in stuff like work, DC activities & Christmas activities too. Then there's the possibility of covid.

I'm isolating for 10 days. Between myself & DC isolating, I've spent over 2 weeks stuck in the house. Fine for online shopping (while I've been well enough), not so much for in store shopping.

What kind of things is DH into and perhaps we could help suggest hits we have had or ideas that may be good / different? Smile

Mostly done 😇 (Though I do keep getting the twitch 😬).

Left to get:

Photo album for the PIL (but do a double spread a month so need to get at least a few December photos!)

Wireless earphones for DH and a couple more stocking bits (maybe shower steaner and choc)

Teacher/nursery staff presents (thinking also shower steamers!)

Newdad19 · 18/11/2021 17:25

@MeltedButter

I've got to buy matching Christmas pyjamas for myself, husband and two sons! A bit cringe I know! We have never done anything like that before but thought we would do it since this is the first year we are doing Xmas Eve boxes.

It's hard to find ones that have adult sizes aswell as for my 1 year old.

I seen today that Primark have some well priced Christmas matching Pjs

@Silversun83 what earphones do you have in mind? Are you going for AirPods or something else?
@Newdad19 I've been keeping an eye on some power tools, dh wants a new jigsaw and I want new batteries for the lawn mower. Also a firestick (which have already been reduced so must order). Haven't decided on the rest, I think there are some Nintendo games and accessories and lego bits. Ds has just announced he wants a giant bean bag so I'll have to start looking.
@LunaLoveFood I can maybe help with the Nintendo games...

EBay has some sellers included in their 20% off with the code BLACKFRIDAYUK.

I managed to get the XBOX Nerf and the new Switch Pokémon game with 20% off last night.

Be quick though as the code expires tonight

All of them

TheCheesyBakedBeanGetsGlam · 18/11/2021 17:30

I'm about a third of the way in.
Bought some chocolate coins and chocolate Brussels sprouts today. Did a big toy order. Only bought for one grown up, but I have plans for everyone else. Only a couple I am struggling to think of presents for

Newdad19 · 18/11/2021 17:32

@IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads

All of them
As per the OP - do you have a list that you would like to share and people can help find them or suggest ways to discount?I genuinely don't understand why people go out their way to reply "all of them it's only November" on a Christmas thread on the christmas board.

If you have all of them to purchase and think it's too early and so are not interested in using this thread for the purpose it's created - why are you bothering going out your way to even reply in the first place?!

Totally baffling.

Oooo thank you @Newdad19 hadn't even thought of looking there. Off to look now.

goose1964 · 18/11/2021 18:05

We've about half. I bought a few today, but they're only part presents as DH insists everyone has presents to their exact budget- he's been known to give 3p in cash to make it up to budget.

DD suspects he's autistic.

I think the seller that was included that we got them from was called shopto_outlet

@RunRunGingerbreadMan

I need something for dh's dad and something for my cousin and her husband. I have no idea what to get them so I'm waiting for some inspiration! Oh and something for the cat - probably some treats and a new mouse, I don't like her to be left out!
Surely a bowl full of freshly cooked turkey is gift enough? (I'm our DCat's chosen human, but I am under no illusion that she wouldn't chuck me under the nearest bus if it got her the aforementioned)

I have 1 more medium-sized gift to get DH, but am struggling for ideas. He has 2 x PJ bottoms, an Airfix kit, and a bike repair kit so far.
5yo DD2 also needs something medium-sized to balance her gifts with DD1, but inexpensive because we're near the top of DCs budget. I am also at a loss for ideas. I am going to a nearly new sale this weekend, so hoping to spot something there.
1 x joint gift to buy for my Godmother and her husband. I've got a small silly book so far, but it looks rather mean on its own. I usually spot something last minute, so hoping my luck holds out again!
Finally, I need to pick up 2 x tubes of sweets for DCs' stockings (the ones that are £1/2 each). As I only have to buy for the above people it's generally not too stressful, although I'm usually completely done by the end of Oct.

As far as I know, DH still has all of his family to buy for... (probably me too) I assume he loves a last minute panic buying session, because it is left to the 11th hour every year.

ImJustNotMeAnymore · 18/11/2021 18:32

Looking for a usb mug warmer that works properly, indoor frisbee, extendable marshmallow toasting forks, Pokemon sword for the switch, cable biters, and a bubble tea kit. Extra points for a mini fridge that is economical to buy and to run.

PickupaPenguin8 · 18/11/2021 18:34

All of them. Every year I hate Xmas
More.

Fallagain · 18/11/2021 18:41
@Fallagain honestly nobody in my family including myself needs anything, that’s the problem. I feel anxious just thinking about it all! The buying, wrapping, unwrapping, putting away, charity shop run. It’s crazy!
For adults I’ve bought book which will be read and passed on and chocolate for some which will be throughly enjoyed. My kids are young and are in need of things like next size bikes (second hand), new books, next size dressing gowns as well as some consumables.

But @doorornottodoor I totally get not wanting more stuff. My own Mum is desperate to buy me something but I don’t want anything.

Kikkomam · 18/11/2021 18:42

Parents, parents in law, lovely neighbours, goddaughter.

I never learn I always leave them too late. Must do it all next week

Kikkomam · 18/11/2021 18:44

I've done 3 dds and dh. Dhs gifts are various charity sponsorships because that's what he wanted.

MintJulia · 18/11/2021 18:45

I have four sisters. I want to buy them all some lovely unusually foods.

I need some upmarket craft fairs or somewhere with a really good deli.
