If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Anyone with some of the more expensive Nintendo Switch games to buy, might want to try Currys to get a £5 saving.
They have a code for free next day delivery over £35. I didn't need item next day and had already selected the free 3-5 day delivery option, but I put in the code anyway and it took £5 off the price. Hope that makes sense 😬. Sorry I didn't see how long valid for, but worth a try.
FREENEXTDAY
Got the new Animal Crossing for £35.

RJnomore1 · 02/11/2021 08:51

My next neom is now Friday too but the cost has disappeared from my orders pending and not been added to my account balance so I’m waiting for a cancellation any time.

I didn’t really need it anyway, got carried away after my Friday night wine 😬

Justyou · 02/11/2021 08:57

Mine is definitely showing as money paid to Next but still not hopeful.

Christmasmcchristmasface · 02/11/2021 08:59

@Minionbums am

CarrieMoonbeams · 02/11/2021 09:00

@BlueFlavour and @Bezzi,

Thank you so much for your suggestions too, I really appreciate you taking the time to help.

OK, so I've blown the budget, but I'm going for:

A pair of pyjamas each.
A Christmas Pig for one and The Ickabog for the other.
Uno flip for one, Dobble for the other.
Some chocolate (still to buy, but probably a selection box each).

The children aren't necessarily related - it's a charity collection for children in my local area - so it won't matter that the gifts are pretty similar.

Thanks again everyone. I don't have DC myself so I didn't know where to start!

Can anyone recommend a rice cooker ?

Dolphintrainer · 02/11/2021 09:05

@CarrieMoonbeams They sound like lovely packages any child would be very happy to receive

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 02/11/2021 09:16

@Carriemac We were looking for one a few months ago and ended up buying a Tefal Sphericook. Thought we'd got a good deal at about £60 as they were £100 at the time. Went to the same Tefal outlet a few days ago and it was £46.
We couldn't find a decent standard rice cooker for under £25 so if you want something that does a bit more and are near an outlet, I'd recommend the Sphericook. Makes a lovely risotto. We also use it to steam fish and make soups and stews. It slow cooks aswell.

Elpheba · 02/11/2021 09:22

My Next neom has been pushed to Friday too but the money has left my bank so am (perhaps naively) feeling optimisticish!

aimslou · 02/11/2021 09:33

@Coldilox

Ooh and while I’m here, Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears (my niece’s favourite perfume) is down to £18.50 from £40 on Amazon

Clicky

Thanks for this. I subscribed and for it for £16.63, then will cancel the subscription when it arrives.
weebarra · 02/11/2021 09:35

Fragrance direct has 10% off with FLASHTEN and also has £5 off a £50 spend. Not sure if they stack.

psuedocream3 · 02/11/2021 09:45

Thanks for the melissa and doug puppets, my daughter got the other set for her birthday so this will be a nice addition to that.

Also bought a jumperoo from Amazon for £51.99 using the £5 off £15 and £6 for a £50 top up, youngest's main present sorted. He will be almost 3 months at Christmas and no idea what else to buy! Any ideas would be very welcome!

It didn't work for me. Glad it worked for you, I really don't want to pay £40 for a game 🙈
TheBigFish · 02/11/2021 10:11

How quickly were people's We're Brickin It orders dispatched please? I ordered last Thursday and got a confirmation email but heard nothing since.

Oldmrswasherwoman · 02/11/2021 10:13

@HKV76 thank you for the addidas info - just ordered a £35 tracksuit for £20 - a right bargain - delighted!

Equimum · 02/11/2021 10:19

Not sure if anyone has shared already (I couldn't see), but the Gravitrax Starter Set is down to £29.39 on Amazon. Have just grabbed this for my mum to give to our son.

Picklesbaby · 02/11/2021 10:22

@psuedocream3 I got some tinfoil type blankets , the crinkling was entertainment for hours ,I used to lie it on his play mat . Re toys we got lots of Lamaze ones & Gundy elephant . the dancing sloth I thought dh was being a bit previous on was a hit & he still plays now at nearly 18months😂

lolarabbit · 02/11/2021 10:25

@Jinglebells21Just looked again and the code is GAMENEXTDAY not FREENEXTDAY Blush Brain not engaged today- sorry. If that still doesn't work I can only think it might be that I'm signed up for Currys Perks and it's account specific.

Daisy829 · 02/11/2021 10:30

@Justonedayatatime11 I have a latte left if you would like it?

Justonedayatatime11 · 02/11/2021 10:31

@Daisy829 yes please

Lellyo · 02/11/2021 10:43

Thank you to the pp who mentioned the Warren James Sale. I ordered 3 pairs of earrings and they have just come and I am over the moon with them.

ThatIsHowTheLightGetsIn · 02/11/2021 10:57

@BlueFlavour I am going to order the dare to be different book for DD as she really likes that sort of thing, thank you so much for mentioning, I would not have come across it otherwise.

I would love a gifting/ideas/recommendations thread to run all year round

yoshiblue · 02/11/2021 10:58

Great prices on some popular board games::

Ticket to Ride

Pandemic

Splendor

I can highly recommend all three as excellent games for the family. They often all come in top ten lists of best family games. Pandemic may be a little too close to covid for some, but its a fab cooperative game where you're working together, so no tears because you all win/lose!

BlueFlavour · 02/11/2021 11:04

@ThatIsHowTheLightGetsIn
Oh I’m pleased Smile
It really is good. I think you and your dd will enjoy it.

thaegumathteth · 02/11/2021 11:08
