Thanks @bizzey for the title, which tickled me! The day of the triffids? Nope, it’s the day of the cardboard boxes!

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@Twilightstarbright

Any decent coffee recommendations for someone who’s loves small/independent roasters? I did the paddy and Scott gift last year and it was a huge hit so I’m hoping to repeat.
There's Tynemouth coffee which has a load of Geordie names; www.tynemouthcoffee.com/shop/beans/
gratedbeetroot · 20/10/2021 13:03

Just coming back on to say that the name on Vulcan gift/ certificate was very well received - the recipient was thrilled with such a thoughtful gift. So thanks again for the info and help.

BellsaRinging · 20/10/2021 13:06

Thanks for all the dryer input people! Much appreciated. Looks like it's a good present idea and I will certainly look at the non-lakeland options as well.

MeredithGreyishblue · 20/10/2021 13:07

@BellsaRinging you'd have to prise my pod out of my cold, dead hands! I love it. And I use it in place of my tumble dryer for anything that can go on a hanger. My little airship 😍

MeredithGreyishblue · 20/10/2021 13:08

However Aldi had heated airers in store today at 39.99 too

spudsuliked · 20/10/2021 13:09

@Jokie I'm glad I could help! We have a monthly subscription now and love getting it in the post, beautifully packaged with lovely printed tasting notes and just really amazing coffee.

DollyPartBaked · 20/10/2021 13:20

Rabbit's Nap and Cat's Kitchen are both £3 on Amazon at the moment - lovely lift the flap books that my babies have really been into!

Mumto3thatsme · 20/10/2021 13:20

LetsPlayBamboozled · 20/10/2021 13:26

Does anyone know if Skate Hut do decent Black Friday offers? I've seen them recommended on here last year so hoping someone remembers whether there were deals then? DD wants rollerskates and I'd like it sorted asap but would also like them cheaper!! Thank you for any help.

DoucheCanoe · 20/10/2021 13:26

@sorryiasled how old are your fidgetty ones?

My 15yo is Autistic and needs the distraction - his favourite silent things are monkey noodles, rubix cube, star cube, infinity cube and a little floppy thing that looks like a small bike chain. A blob of blu-tac is good too.

My 9yo however just likes to be in with the crowd so she uses fidgets for fun - she like monkey noodles and squishies.

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 20/10/2021 13:49

@LetsPlayBamboozled Yes skatehut definitely do, I know as I ordered about a week before and rather than refund the difference they insisted I returned and reordered even though returns were free Hmm

LetsPlayBamboozled · 20/10/2021 13:58

Ooo @IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile how frustrating!! But thank you for the info. Will hold my horses then! Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 20/10/2021 13:59

Sainsbury's delivery dates for groceries, if anybody would like them (not a bargain, but useful...this is if you have a Delivery Pass). Xmas Grin

Thank you for the Phillip Jones website. I’ve ordered a few things. Was gutted I couldn’t get hot diamonds to stack

sorryiasked · 20/10/2021 14:01

@DoucheCanoe thank you, dd is 13 so your older suggestions look great.

TuftyMarmoset · 20/10/2021 14:09

@Twilightstarbright Workhouse Coffee are a local to me business which do good coffee. They sell whole beans and different kinds of grind eg they do a grind specially for Aeropress. They have quite a few different roasts. workhousecoffee.co.uk/collections/all

NeedMoreTea · 20/10/2021 14:38

@Avoca76 There's a seller on Amazon who does a random 5 pack of TY Beanie Boos. It worked out really good value when I bought, as I had loads of class birthday parties coming up. They had an image of all the potential toys which could be in the pack, and I didn't get any duplicates (although I would say most of them were feminine colours) . It all depends whether your DC want specific Beanies or not. I shall attempt a link TY Beanie Boo Boos - Plush Soft Toy - Random 5 Pack
It was 18.99 when I bought it 4 months ago so the price has gone up a little bit but it might still be cheaper than other shops.

StopGoQuitStart · 20/10/2021 14:39

Thank you to whoever mentioned the half price prerelease books of The Christmasaurus and the Naughty List and The Christmas Pine. Both arrived today and will be lovely 1st Dec gifts with advent calendars. I’ve read the Christmas Pine and it’s a lovely book - brought lump to my throat Blush - can see it being brought out year after year. Ideal as most of our Christmas books are toddler ages so need to redo collection for primary ages now. Any other recommendations??

Both those hardback books are half price on Amazon still but hasn’t compared to any other shops.

StopGoQuitStart · 20/10/2021 14:41

“Haven’t” compared. I so wish we had an edit button!

peepholepringle · 20/10/2021 14:41

Lloyds pharmacy online currently have lots of lovely little gift sets on offer. Some are at least half the price of elsewhere.

Beaglemum93 · 20/10/2021 14:58

@Mummyof2Terrors

Not a huge bargain but very cute. £5 from the Works. Saw advertised elsewhere but ordered mine earlier with some others bits I wanted for a craft hamper.
Thanks for this, although not a massive bargain it's a nice book. My DS will love it! Grin
Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 20/10/2021 14:59

I've just read that the Sainsburys half price toy sale runs from November 10th until Nov 16th, if anyone is waiting for it. Looks to be in store only though.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/10/2021 15:01

I've been waiting, @Haveyoubrushedyourteeth. I'll go first thing on the first day!

Maharajah20 · 20/10/2021 15:35
