Standing in for @Reastie as thread 10 was filling up quickly...

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

Some top tips from thelegohooverer:

My tips are:
check out companies on trustpilot before ordering
be wary of companies that only have email/contact firms for customer services and no phone numbers or addresses (unless of course you enjoy meaningless replies from bots)
keep a list of what you’ve ordered so you can follow up if something doesn’t arrive. Sometimes it’s a numbers game where they’re betting on people not following up on missing orders.
check where things are shipped from, particularly if you need them quickly. I’ve got caught out waiting for the slow boat from China when I thought I was ordering locally.
I’ve started using Revolut to avoid putting in my main bank details (and it helps me budget)

Aliexpress have lots of stuff very cheap, order early as it’s all delivered from Chinahere. Be aware some items are a bit knock off in quality and safety, check reviews and be aware. Clothes can come up v small and take the photos with a pinch of salt as a guide for what you will receive.

@mum2jakie @GirlWithTheYellowHat
Often if you’re registered with a shop, put stuff in the online basket and then leave the page you will usually get some kind of discount code in the mail a couple of days after. Done it for years.

WisestIsShe · 09/10/2021 17:09

Was there mention on a previous thread of an advent calendar with crystals in it? I'm sure I remember skipping over it but now DD has asked for one.

@bizzey

Another one following for family games. 3 that look up our street ( mine ..cos they look less complicated !) are : Confident Sussed Or. Tension. Has anyone played these?
Confident = meh. Not sure about sussed. Tension is a favourite in our house along with Articulate ( 3 different ones) and scattergories.

Ohhh ,, my turn to add something to this thread ,instead ok take, take, take !
From another thread I went on ..

I was going to get a little gnome set for PIL(ex now ,but I still buy for them) for £22.
But they have bundles .
I have got the 2 gnomes plus 3 little ones doing various activities for ...

I subscribed to get an extra 10% but it did not show up.

But a nice little site to go on for novelty garden stuff .

VikingNorthUtsire · 09/10/2021 17:33

Thank you to the poster who recommended My Little Eco Shop. Just bought some lovely skincare bundles with 20% off, makes them £15 each, nice gifts for various nieces.

sittingonacornflake · 09/10/2021 17:37

@recklessgran what a lovely heartwarming message for @Reastie. I also love this safe joyful corner of Mumsnet. When I'm tired I do look forward to snuggling up and loading this thread up. It warms my heart.

bizzey · 09/10/2021 17:44

I have got my eye on that eco shop as well.
2 things in the basket at the moment.
The ?metal straws (ds17) and some body cream thing for gf of other Ds.

Stuff looks lovely .
( Think I am going to have to dig out the credit card !)

bizzey · 09/10/2021 17:45

Without sounding too thick ...is all of it vegan ? (Not me ..the gf)

itsonlysubterfuge · 09/10/2021 17:47

@IDontDrinkTea

Can anyone remember from last week what the website was that did seconds Saturday for lovely crafted bits?! Thought I’d made a note but now I can’t find it. Thanks!
Super Seconds Saturday?

@mum2jakie what's the discount off the minimum £75 spend? Trying to work out what I should hold out for.

I want a instax for DD

Haudyourwheesht · 09/10/2021 17:50

Re the Tokyo Laundry stuff, I got DH a bundle last year and the jumper still looks good. Just ordered another one.

Now the random question - DD is now into that horrendous Winx Club cartoon. Has anyone seen any merchandise?
She is really plumbing the depths of Amazon Prime these days. I thought Cocomelon was bad.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/10/2021 17:53

@GirlWithTheYellowHat, there are some Instax cameras on eBay in the 20% off deal. Which one did you want?

An 11, maybe blue or lilac. I'll have a look.

Also thanks mum2jackie for the info!

Just ordered some! Cute bundles. Thanks
EveLe · 09/10/2021 18:01

@Christmasmcchristmasface Not sure about the seats you asked about, but my ASD DC (who also has dyspraxia) loves to spin, and he has a Whizzy DIzzy - he's 11 and can still use it because he can just stick his legs straight out, the weight limit is quite high, even my 14 year old goes on it!

They are quite expensive, but if you have a child who gets sensory input from spinning they are amazing.

RJnomore1 · 09/10/2021 18:04

I’ve had a look to see if I had an argos code to pass on but no luck. I’ll keep watching.

Also Ocado do not deliver here, very sad as the free gifts sound lovely.

Some tips: studio hsve sherpa fleece fake oodies if anyone is struggling to get to primark. Only plan pink or grey but they look cosy, you can have them personalised with names too. £12.99 kids and £19.99 adults.

Also if anyone banks with royal bank of Scotland keep an eye on their cashback for using your debit card - urban outfitters is 15% just now, for example.

psuedocream3 · 09/10/2021 18:07

@GirlWithTheYellowHat there's 20% off skinnydip website with code SORRYGIFT20 and they sell instax cameras and film. They do free delivery over £25. Good for cheap refills too they do a 50 shot pack which is £28 after code which is very good value.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes, forgot how exhausting the newborn stage was lol x

onedayatatime73 · 09/10/2021 18:09

Lovato candles arrived. Thank you to the poster for these. It was a great bargain and they really are gorgeous. Lovely packaging and look/smell really expensive.

Any suggestions for a good deal on Chilly (coffee cup)?

And I'm sure someone has asked recently but Jellycat (amuseables)?

onedayatatime73 · 09/10/2021 18:24

Cluedo Junior down to £9.50 on Amazon (usually £16.99)

IDontDrinkTea · 09/10/2021 18:27

Thank you @itsonlysubterfuge ! Now sitting down to a lovely browse!

clpsmum · 09/10/2021 18:33

@mum2jakie you're welcome I'm so glad you got one. Such a bargain
