Standing in for @Reastie as thread 10 was filling up quickly...

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

Some top tips from thelegohooverer:

My tips are:
check out companies on trustpilot before ordering
be wary of companies that only have email/contact firms for customer services and no phone numbers or addresses (unless of course you enjoy meaningless replies from bots)
keep a list of what you’ve ordered so you can follow up if something doesn’t arrive. Sometimes it’s a numbers game where they’re betting on people not following up on missing orders.
check where things are shipped from, particularly if you need them quickly. I’ve got caught out waiting for the slow boat from China when I thought I was ordering locally.
I’ve started using Revolut to avoid putting in my main bank details (and it helps me budget)

Aliexpress have lots of stuff very cheap, order early as it’s all delivered from Chinahere. Be aware some items are a bit knock off in quality and safety, check reviews and be aware. Clothes can come up v small and take the photos with a pinch of salt as a guide for what you will receive.

@DoucheCanoe - I am a fellow pillow hugger at night! I bought myself a pregnancy pillow as thought it would be good. It isn’t! Not the same at all. Also too difficult to lug over if I move and not quite the same width. So my advice would be not too Grin. Your son of course may be different but it was genuinely a big disappointment for me Grin

Received our EXIT The Mystery of the Ice Cave advent calendar today. Looking forward to it, hope it’s not too easy..! 🙂

Tension is great, we play it quite often!

Morrison’s toy event starts on Monday. I was complaining to my DH that things seemed expensive and a member of staff said come back on Monday they are buy one get one free Grin
They had extra large nerf gun £50, cossatto doll pram £35, sylvanian families log cabin, Lego, Peppa pig interactive car, magic set plus lots of other things just being put out

nicky2512 · 09/10/2021 16:39

@evvk is £5 off £50 any use if nothing better comes up?

mum2jakie · 09/10/2021 16:41
@ZIGGY911 I got the logo game in WH Smith's yesterday for £10
Thanks @clpsmum I've just been into WHSmith and picked up the Logo board game for £10. It's this Logo Who Am I? version suitable for younger kids which is fine for us and a bargain at that price.

IDontDrinkTea · 09/10/2021 16:43

Can anyone remember from last week what the website was that did seconds Saturday for lovely crafted bits?! Thought I’d made a note but now I can’t find it. Thanks!

Would someone be able to pop an Ocado referral on the referrals board please if there’s one available. I know there have been PPs who’ve said it’s not a money off referral but it’d be nice to get something for signing up Grin

evvk · 09/10/2021 16:48

@nicky2512 That would work too! Can I have it please?

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 09/10/2021 16:48

I never get any codes from argos, are people getting them in emails?

NoWordForFluffy · 09/10/2021 16:49

@Someaddedsugar, I've added one. No idea what you get though!

mum2jakie · 09/10/2021 16:51

@GirlWithTheYellowHat

I never get any codes from argos, are people getting them in emails?
Yes randomly sent out via email. Single use codes only. Mine has a minimum spend of £75
Someaddedsugar · 09/10/2021 16:53

Thanks @NoWordForFluffy - looks like £25 of something but can't quite work out what! But something's better than nothing!

nicky2512 · 09/10/2021 16:55

@evvk will try to pm in two mins. Let me know if I succeed!

Someaddedsugar · 09/10/2021 16:56

@NoWordForFluffy I've worked it out! It's basically a £25 'hamper' type deal and you choose either afternoon tea (with fizz), movie night or cheese and nibbles - each would be lovely as a Christmas gift though so definitely worth the referral if anyone is planning on signing up. I'll be doing my shopping tomorrow so hopefully you'll receive your part ASAP.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/10/2021 16:57

Oh, that's interesting! Thank you for letting me know. Xmas Smile

nicky2512 · 09/10/2021 16:57

@GirlWithTheYellowHat mine came randomly as an email too. I thought it was maybe because I haven’t bought anything from Argos in ages.
I held onto it as there were a couple of things I could have bought but nowhere near £50 so I would have been adding extra on for the sake of it!

Jessica60 · 09/10/2021 16:59

Has anyone seen the fake oodies in their local primark yet?

Lyonesse2020 · 09/10/2021 17:00

I've just upgraded my mobile and moved to O2 - purely because they're doing bundles with a free Nintendo Switch. Just waiting for the Switch to arrive now.

That was through Mobiles Direct.

AnotherOne4 · 09/10/2021 17:03
