Standing in for @Reastie as thread 10 was filling up quickly...

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

Some top tips from thelegohooverer:

My tips are:
check out companies on trustpilot before ordering
be wary of companies that only have email/contact firms for customer services and no phone numbers or addresses (unless of course you enjoy meaningless replies from bots)
keep a list of what you’ve ordered so you can follow up if something doesn’t arrive. Sometimes it’s a numbers game where they’re betting on people not following up on missing orders.
check where things are shipped from, particularly if you need them quickly. I’ve got caught out waiting for the slow boat from China when I thought I was ordering locally.
I’ve started using Revolut to avoid putting in my main bank details (and it helps me budget)

Aliexpress have lots of stuff very cheap, order early as it’s all delivered from Chinahere. Be aware some items are a bit knock off in quality and safety, check reviews and be aware. Clothes can come up v small and take the photos with a pinch of salt as a guide for what you will receive.

@chocoholicwifey I do sometimes wonder why people bother to comment if they're not interested. I see it a lot on the chat threads and just think move on if that's how you feel! Now back to the bargains 😂

chocoholicwifey · 09/10/2021 15:15

@NoWordForFluffy Apparently we are all shopping addicted time-wasters Grin

DoucheCanoe · 09/10/2021 15:15

@1forAll74, seems like you could use some festive spirit! Lucky for you I've found a bargain. Enjoy Xmas Grin

@pigletpie2177 I haven't ordered from the site before but have had a fair few bits from TKMaxx/M&M and it's all been good quality. Pretty standard sizing too.

PinkJam · 09/10/2021 15:18

@RainbowPhilosophy Thank you for starting the new thread Smile

@Reastie Please don’t worry about not being around as much. Lots of posters are happy to help with creating new threads when needed. We appreciate all the work you put in and have done over the years.

@recklessgran worded it perfectly Star

Has anyone seen mario/nintendo wrapping paper? Getting kids a switch between them and thought would be nice

chocoholicwifey · 09/10/2021 15:22

@NoWordForFluffy Grin Grin Grin

@mummyof2boys30 not a bargain but this is quite nice Nintendo Switch Wrapping Paper

NoWordForFluffy · 09/10/2021 15:24

There's some Mario paper on eBay too, @mummyof2boys30.

DoucheCanoe · 09/10/2021 15:29

Bit random but my 15yo insists on hugging a pillow at night (he is Autistic but I'm not sure if it's a comfort thing or just a quirk...), would it be weird to get one of those big pregnancy pillows and does anyone have any recommendations? Preferably with a cover and not too pricey.

For people looking at the next children’s fake oodies - I ordered a couple of the girls’ ones - the red panda one and the turquoise leopard print. I got age 11-13 and they are enormous - I’m 5’8 and a size 12 and they are below my knees and huge, apart from the arms being a little short.
Quality is lovely, not too thick or thin, the red one is softer than the turquoise one and the colours are not quite as bright as on the website. I do think they may be a bit big for my very skinny recipients but I’m happy with them.

I think somebody is jealous of our bargains and that some of us have almost finished with our gift buying despite sitting comfortably at home and shopping online GrinWink

jumpingintochristmas your Nike code (OCT 21 if others need it) saved me £20 on top of the sale prices.

Got 3 club tshirts- Liverpool and Barcelona but many more available- and 2 club footballs all for £15 each. Balls are £25 normally so a real bargain.

clpsmum · 09/10/2021 15:36

@MerylSqueak I've bought from here quite a few times now and there constantly seems to be offers on it's a great little website. My free gift last time was a lovely bamboo shower mit

We got the minecraft ones last week and they have had them on every day since

for anyone that missed it on the last thread, free personalised kids book and stickers (you just pay £2.99 for postage, it's a 12 month subscription but once you've received the book you can cancel it)

Well actually...I think that deleted post sums me up perfectly !😀😀😂😂😂

bizzey · 09/10/2021 15:47

Oh ..don't know if this helps..but the wine52 and beer52 are delivered in boxes that say what they are .

Just managed to get the beer in a bag and up to my room just in time .

bizzey · 09/10/2021 15:48

Oh and they are delivered by Hermes..who just left them on doorstep without knocking !

TummyTurtle · 09/10/2021 15:53

@bizzey

Another one following for family games. 3 that look up our street ( mine ..cos they look less complicated !) are : Confident Sussed Or. Tension. Has anyone played these?
We have Sussed and think it's a great game. Would recommend showcase though for more variety in the questions.
Puffalicious · 09/10/2021 15:59

Can I just say for anyone swithering about Oodies (real or otherwise) they're an amazing present. I bought the 6 bundle last year. My 3 boys have thrown them on again this week, but they laugh at me all the time that I NEVER have mine off, any season! My niece adores hers (wore it all through pregnancy) and bought my younger niece one for her birthday recently who reports it's the most coveted item everyone in her new uni halls wants!

Best things ever.

evvk · 09/10/2021 16:00

Does anybody have a spare £8 off £40 Argos code? That would be very helpful!

stressbucket1 · 09/10/2021 16:07

@DoucheCanoe Costco have full body orthopaedic pillows that might be good.

Puffalicious · 09/10/2021 16:09

Douchecanoe Typo always do great pillows- funny and funky. I have my eye on the giant pickle one for DS.

Christmasmcchristmasface · 09/10/2021 16:17

Bilibo seats

If I remember Bilibo seats were talked about a few years ago.

They seem to for up to about 7/8 yo - I think they would be perfect for fidgety dyspraxic DS but he will be 12 in December- he’s quite small for his age but I’m thinking he would still be to big for the standard one.

Does anyone know of a version for older kids or some other deaf that would have the same twist and spin effect??
