Standing in for @Reastie as thread 10 was filling up quickly...

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

Some top tips from thelegohooverer:

My tips are:
check out companies on trustpilot before ordering
be wary of companies that only have email/contact firms for customer services and no phone numbers or addresses (unless of course you enjoy meaningless replies from bots)
keep a list of what you’ve ordered so you can follow up if something doesn’t arrive. Sometimes it’s a numbers game where they’re betting on people not following up on missing orders.
check where things are shipped from, particularly if you need them quickly. I’ve got caught out waiting for the slow boat from China when I thought I was ordering locally.
I’ve started using Revolut to avoid putting in my main bank details (and it helps me budget)

Aliexpress have lots of stuff very cheap, order early as it’s all delivered from Chinahere. Be aware some items are a bit knock off in quality and safety, check reviews and be aware. Clothes can come up v small and take the photos with a pinch of salt as a guide for what you will receive.

Picklesbaby · 11/10/2021 07:42

@Justhereforthechristmasthreads. Was it you asking for a hairdryer? I got a tresemme one in a keratin smooth set for around £25 . Had it a good few years and it’s fabulous they do sell them on there own for around £20

I bit the bullet and ordered bought dd a switch for Christmas, shes 5 next week. I’ve just preordered peppa pig from zutu game for £27 . Never used the site before but fingers crossed . She’s now added the steering wheel and ring fit to her letter to Santa. Does anyone know if she will actually use them ?

@Redwinestillfine Oo thanks for that link ! ordered for dd who now says her Claire’s sets are for babies

Also realised I need “send her letter off” before she finds anything else to add to it 🤦🏻‍♀️

IggyAce · 11/10/2021 07:43

Hoping to get to an M&S today to get gin and light up biscuit tins. Wish me luck! ONS vouchers are ready to go 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 11/10/2021 07:45

@Picklesbaby, Royal Mail will open up their Santa letters soon. Post it off by a certain date and you'll get a response back shortly after.

Our two need to do their letters (they did their lists ages ago!).

finallyfoundkeys · 11/10/2021 07:48

Yeknom · 11/10/2021 07:53

Not sure if it was just me that was looking for one, but colour reveal barbies are down to just over £13 on Amazon (I've already ordered from bargain max thanks to a recommendation on here!)

Yeknom · 11/10/2021 07:54

Another QVC TSV pre-launch, this time is for Liz Earle Patchouli & Vetiver Botanical Face and Body 6 Piece Gift for £54.96 + £3.95 p&p.

There's 3 different options available. It comes with a gift box.

PoirotAndHisMoustache · 11/10/2021 09:46

I mentioned these before but they are back in the warehouse now it seems. These pjs are amazing! Most comfy thing ever and were a godsend when i was breastfeeding last year as they have buttoned tops.
I bought a pair for MIL for Christmas and she was raving about them to anyone who would listen.

Random but i have 2x XS/S Winnie the Pooh Primark Snuddies but could do with M/L. Anyone have a swap??

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 11/10/2021 09:59

Mr Lions Winter Sleigh is down to £15.99 on Amazon if anyone is looking for Sylvanian things. I've just ordered it purely because I'd have loved it as a little girl! The plan is to put it in the first of December box, or failing that split it for the advent calendar......I'll think of something for when DH is Hmm isn't she a bit old for that!

FluffyFluffMonster · 11/10/2021 10:02

Have just come from the Morrison's sale, it's up to half price off toys. There wasn't much included but I got a nice Lego mini mouse set for £12.

Sylvanian family experts.... Is it wishful thinking that my nearly 2 year old might appreciate a Sylvanian family house and a few animals for her second birthday? Or is she too young? She loves animals, cats and mice in particular. And she's starting to show role play.

I bought it for my DDs 3rd birthday and think it was too premature, at 4 she's still not really using it much. In hindsight I would have gone playmobil
TheBigFish · 11/10/2021 10:14

I didn't even click on the Jeffrey's puzzles link and they have started coming up on my fb ads!

Picklesbaby · 11/10/2021 10:16

@NoWordForFluffy ah thank you for reminding me! I normally get one from NSPCC though. You just chose make a donation when you order

Scout2016 · 11/10/2021 10:17

@BeanyBops a lot of the little bits are too small and the figures themselves are hard to clean so you need to be a bit careful with them. No mushing play dough food in their faces or dunking in the bath / throwing down slides into mud.
The clothes are fiddly to get on and off so might get torn.
That said, the figures are fairly sturdy so a basic set of figures to put to bed or similar might be OK. Probably the figures would end up in the nip but that's standard with lots of clothed toys.
