Standing in for @Reastie as thread 10 was filling up quickly...

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

Some top tips from thelegohooverer:

My tips are:
check out companies on trustpilot before ordering
be wary of companies that only have email/contact firms for customer services and no phone numbers or addresses (unless of course you enjoy meaningless replies from bots)
keep a list of what you’ve ordered so you can follow up if something doesn’t arrive. Sometimes it’s a numbers game where they’re betting on people not following up on missing orders.
check where things are shipped from, particularly if you need them quickly. I’ve got caught out waiting for the slow boat from China when I thought I was ordering locally.
I’ve started using Revolut to avoid putting in my main bank details (and it helps me budget)

Aliexpress have lots of stuff very cheap, order early as it’s all delivered from Chinahere. Be aware some items are a bit knock off in quality and safety, check reviews and be aware. Clothes can come up v small and take the photos with a pinch of salt as a guide for what you will receive.

@NoWordForFluffy the minecraft treehouse set, for £64 which is £9 cheaper than I’ve seen it before and kicked myself for not getting then as we’re big Lego fans here too and I’ve already got my younger ones their big sets but nothing for eldest! Thanks again for sharing, love this thread Smile

hiredandsqueak · 10/10/2021 17:13

@IggyAce

IWOOT have a 5 pack mystery top bundle for £16.99 available in men & women’s sizes.
SOCIAL20 will take 20% off making it £13.59 for five items delivered. Mot sure whether the code will work on the rest of the site though
Bopahula · 10/10/2021 17:19

I love these threads so much.

I've succumbed to the Oodies for my DD8 and my friend who is staying with me whilst she goes through a divorce. Both love snuggly blankets, so I decided whilst Oodies has the Black Friday sale on, I'd grab a couple.

I'm also pondering the Instax for my DD too........

DoucheCanoe · 10/10/2021 17:26

SALE10 for an extra 10% off sale items at JDSports

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 10/10/2021 17:28

Hello wonderful helpful people

Does anyone have a recommendation for a decent hairdryer please? (nothing fancy about the £30 mark)

NoWordForFluffy · 10/10/2021 17:29

That's the one I got, @Pawpawpaws! Cracking price, isn't it?

Weirdly it said mine was the last one, but now it says that more are left. 🤷‍♀️ It's a seller with good feedback though, so I'm sure there's a good reason for it! 🎅🏻

TwinsandTrifle · 10/10/2021 17:30

Can anyone find a more bargainous way of buying this little tikes car transporter please?

Nine year old DD has asked for some make up for Christmas. Does anyone have any recommendations for something in between the Disney Princess type kids sets and proper grown up make up? (As you may be able to tell I hardly ever wear it so my knowledge is limited!) Thanks

IAmSantaOhYesIAm · 10/10/2021 17:36

@MsMiaWallace I asked on the last thread and no one replied so I’m guessing there’s none! I’ve scoured the internet for a discount or even free delivery but can’t find anything. So disappointing but I guess we can’t get bargains on absolutely everything lol

BunnyBerries · 10/10/2021 17:41

@psuedocream3

Yes I have that one too! I'm looking out for that too, I have to have them all, argh! Smile Re-reading Harry Potter we are spoilt for choice hahaha

clpsmum · 10/10/2021 17:42

@MsMiaWallace @IAmSantaOhYesIAm they sell them at menkind here is a 10% voucher for there if that's any help

@Maiyakat have a look at Revolution my dd started with their pallets before moving on to Morphe. If you don’t want to spend a lot then MUA in Superdrug has some lovely pallets and the pigment is fab they are £4-£5 each & lipsticks £1.

TuftyMarmoset · 10/10/2021 17:52

@Kollamoolitumarellipawkyrollo I don't know about Argos/Matalan but to get the Lakeland codes you sign up to MyLakeland and they just send them out periodically

Martinisarebetterdirty · 10/10/2021 18:05

@Maiyakat I’ve got DD some stuff from the nails inc sale for her 10th birthday - I’ve got shimmery bits and bobs and they are called unicorn sparkle and things like that so don’t feel too grown up - plus were a bargain!

Puffalicious · 10/10/2021 18:05

Saw 20% off in New Look on sleepwear and gifts. Worth a look.

TheCrow · 10/10/2021 18:06

@Maiyakat I got my 9yo DD a makeup set from Claire's Accessories and it seems to fit the bill, it's not like childish 'play' makeup and it's not too grown up.

Tigger83 · 10/10/2021 18:10

Ordered the one from matalan I'm sure he won't notice the difference

qate · 10/10/2021 18:10
@BunnyBerries have you seen the Mina Lima editions of the Harry Potter books? They are so stunning, I bought the first one for my eldest last year and all the pull out bits and inserts really made it something special. The second book is released soon, but I expect it will be around £16 like the other was for Black Friday, incase anyone is after it Smile
Oh agreed!! They are absolutely beautiful - I have my eye on the second one for Christmas. I much prefer their artwork to the Jim Kay ones.

psuedocream3 · 10/10/2021 18:14

@Justhereforthechristmasthreads I got this one for my daughter, keeps popping in and out of stock www.boots.com/mark-hill-style-addict-perfect-blow-dry-kit-10272343

@Maiyakat my daughter is 12 but I've got her the Harry Potter sets from boots, on 3 for 2, there's a code for £2.50 off a £20 spend or ones for 10% £30+ spend, and you may have some extra points clubcard offers if you check your account.

CamdenLurker · 10/10/2021 18:16

This Skincare Saviours beauty box from Next is also really good, the Aurelia cleanser is fantastic and comes with a little muslin cloth too. Bargain for £12. I've ordered one for dd16 and the Party lovers box for dd14.

Does anyone have a picture of the m&s light up rum please? Mine never has it, I'm not sure whether to hold out for it!
