Standing in for @Reastie as thread 10 was filling up quickly...

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

Some top tips from thelegohooverer:

My tips are:
check out companies on trustpilot before ordering
be wary of companies that only have email/contact firms for customer services and no phone numbers or addresses (unless of course you enjoy meaningless replies from bots)
keep a list of what you’ve ordered so you can follow up if something doesn’t arrive. Sometimes it’s a numbers game where they’re betting on people not following up on missing orders.
check where things are shipped from, particularly if you need them quickly. I’ve got caught out waiting for the slow boat from China when I thought I was ordering locally.
I’ve started using Revolut to avoid putting in my main bank details (and it helps me budget)

Aliexpress have lots of stuff very cheap, order early as it’s all delivered from Chinahere. Be aware some items are a bit knock off in quality and safety, check reviews and be aware. Clothes can come up v small and take the photos with a pinch of salt as a guide for what you will receive.

Teachers and parents, the Scholastic site has 30% off a £60 spend ends today (code: XMAS30 and some other codes for lower orders)

So a set of the first four released huge gorgeous hardback Harry Potter illustrated books would be down from £64.99 to £45.49. That's about £11/book! I think you can select to give 20% in points for your school too.

https://www.mylittleecoshop.com/collections/kitchen-1

Fab little website that ALWAYS has discount offers on abs free delivery over £20

Ooh I second this. I may have gone back and ordered more as I kept some of my first order for me. Perfect for eco conscious DD and DS! You can use either SUNDAY and MASSAGE20 to get the 20% off and a free gift
NoWordForFluffy · 10/10/2021 15:43

I've been spending Nectar points on eBay again! One of the Minecraft sets DS wanted was in the FALL20 promotion, and was already cheaper than elsewhere, so it's worked out at about £23 cheaper than elsewhere. Plus I only paid £4 cash, as the remaining £60 was Nectar points.

Anybody looking for Lego advent calendars, some are in the FALL20 promotion on eBay which ends tonight. Check they're a bargain, as very few of the Minecraft sets were I've been sitting in a rapidly-cooling bath doing price comparisons for over an hour!.

WeAreTheWeirdosMister · 10/10/2021 15:46

clpsmum · 10/10/2021 15:47

@BunnyBerries have you seen the Mina Lima editions of the Harry Potter books? They are so stunning, I bought the first one for my eldest last year and all the pull out bits and inserts really made it something special. The second book is released soon, but I expect it will be around £16 like the other was for Black Friday, incase anyone is after it Smile

DockOTheBay · 10/10/2021 15:57

Someone was looking for a code on Chillys bottles. I don't have one but SHO reusable are a similar company who do 50% keywords discount so if you or any family member are a keyworker (you don't have to prove, so it includes refuse workers, shop workers, post carriers, teachers as well as the usual NHS etc )

MissMarple0203 · 10/10/2021 16:02

@mummyof2boys30

Has anyone seen mario/nintendo wrapping paper? Getting kids a switch between them and thought would be nice
Can I ask what age is the switch is aimed at? My daughter is 4 and my husband suggesting we get one....but not sure if that is too young? Thanks
mummyof2boys30 · 10/10/2021 16:17

My boys are 11 and 9 that are getting a switch. I'd imagine 4 is a bit young yet

NoWordForFluffy · 10/10/2021 16:20

We got a Switch last year when the kids were 6 and 7. The amount of time it's spent in the bloody cupboard due to arguments is something else though! 🙈🤣

RJnomore1 · 10/10/2021 16:22

Massively successful if not Bargainous trip to Marks and Spencer’s in town today.

I have Percy big hot choc bombs, a tin of merry munch, a box of light up chocolates and a bottle of light up vanilla rum liquer. Oh and a box of Percy snoses.

Excited now.

ElephantandGrasshopper · 10/10/2021 16:24

@JanuaryEl5ieBill

DD's hooded beach towel is now too small so looking for a new one. Would a Next version of the oodie work do you think? Don't fancy braving the city to go to the big primary!
I like the decathlon hooded towels for bigger children
5Minions2CallMyOwn · 10/10/2021 16:26

Araisaris · 10/10/2021 16:26

Is SideOrderOfChips around? Just got a couple of jersey questions for you. 😊

Pawpawpaws · 10/10/2021 16:26

Thanks for the eBay FALL20 info @NoWordForFluffy I’ve also seen what looks to be a great bargain on a Lego set too, how have you found buying Lego as new off eBay, are the boxes ok etc? Sorry for naive question!

NoWordForFluffy · 10/10/2021 16:27

I've never had a problem with Lego from eBay, and I've bought a fair bit (I have Lego fiend children!).

Pawpawpaws · 10/10/2021 16:37

Thanks @NoWordForFluffy I’ll order now as it is such a good price, DC will be thrilled!

NoWordForFluffy · 10/10/2021 16:40

Which one have you gone for, @Pawpawpaws? I'm glad you've found it worthwhile!

DockOTheBay · 10/10/2021 16:41

Does anyone have more info on the Morrisons BOGOF toy event which is predicted to start tomorrow? I can go to Morrisons tomorrow but its a bit of a trek if it doesn't actually go ahead tomorrow

TuftyMarmoset · 10/10/2021 16:49
