Standing in for @Reastie as thread 10 was filling up quickly...

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

Some top tips from thelegohooverer:

My tips are:
check out companies on trustpilot before ordering
be wary of companies that only have email/contact firms for customer services and no phone numbers or addresses (unless of course you enjoy meaningless replies from bots)
keep a list of what you’ve ordered so you can follow up if something doesn’t arrive. Sometimes it’s a numbers game where they’re betting on people not following up on missing orders.
check where things are shipped from, particularly if you need them quickly. I’ve got caught out waiting for the slow boat from China when I thought I was ordering locally.
I’ve started using Revolut to avoid putting in my main bank details (and it helps me budget)

Aliexpress have lots of stuff very cheap, order early as it’s all delivered from Chinahere. Be aware some items are a bit knock off in quality and safety, check reviews and be aware. Clothes can come up v small and take the photos with a pinch of salt as a guide for what you will receive.

Thank you, @Clucket87. I'll PM my £75 one to @Blueberryflavour once I'm upstairs as it's on my desk!

HoHoJ0 · 09/10/2021 21:52

@DollyPartBaked We use Callebaut Chocolate callets in the velvetiser. I tend to chuck big batches of them through the thermomix to grate them but you could put them through a food processor. If I’ve run out of grated and I’m feeling lazy, I add them slowly once the milk has warmed up a bit otherwise they sometimes get caught in the whizzy bit.

Marypoppinsisnosaint · 09/10/2021 21:54

@SpamIAm thank you I will take a look 😊

RJnomore1 · 09/10/2021 21:55

Those flamingos are erm...

You’d have to be sure of the recipient, I’d say they’re for a quite SPECIFIC taste 😂

My mother would love them!

HoHoJ0 · 09/10/2021 21:55

Oh and I normally only pay around £30 for that bundle of chocolate so it’s worth setting up a CCC alert

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 09/10/2021 21:55

To those buying/thinking of buying an instax, got my DD’s one when they were about 13/14 - oldest is now 21 and it still gets used on occasion - it’s a con paper wise but it’s a sturdy little number. The retro look for photos is still very trendy. What’s even more trendy are the colourful 90’s cameras that we all had with the film in. My two love sending them off after a party/event like we all used to do. Very retro. This kind of thing.

DD has requested a bobble hat for Christmas. Must have a big bobble and bobble must be multicoloured and fluffy Confused anyone seen anything on their travels?

I'm nominating "shopping addicted time wasters" for the next thread title, made me laugh!

Christmasmcchristmasface · 09/10/2021 22:00

@2319inprogress

Christmasmcchristmasface we have a pull up bar in a doorway & an old wrap sling tied on as a swing - it works amazingly for my spinny kids (but they spin so fast I can't even watch) & also as a swing. They're also great at pull ups due to it being there Grin

Someone was asking about pillows for sleeping with - one of mine uses an IKEA shark like this (& there is a complicated system with the tail & his feet Confused)

@2319inprogress - I love that idea and I am pretty sure Dh has a pull up bar from one of his fitness phases 🙄

user1493494961 · 09/10/2021 22:02
