Standing in for @Reastie as thread 10 was filling up quickly...

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

Some top tips from thelegohooverer:

My tips are:
check out companies on trustpilot before ordering
be wary of companies that only have email/contact firms for customer services and no phone numbers or addresses (unless of course you enjoy meaningless replies from bots)
keep a list of what you’ve ordered so you can follow up if something doesn’t arrive. Sometimes it’s a numbers game where they’re betting on people not following up on missing orders.
check where things are shipped from, particularly if you need them quickly. I’ve got caught out waiting for the slow boat from China when I thought I was ordering locally.
I’ve started using Revolut to avoid putting in my main bank details (and it helps me budget)

Aliexpress have lots of stuff very cheap, order early as it’s all delivered from Chinahere. Be aware some items are a bit knock off in quality and safety, check reviews and be aware. Clothes can come up v small and take the photos with a pinch of salt as a guide for what you will receive.

I have spent an absolute fortune today at the eco shop, Footlocker, ikea Lakeland and the spicery - but I am getting close to being done! I am going to hide from my bank acount and pretend nothing happened.

Just a warning, I bought the Oodie joggers for my dd as they were on sale for £19 and she’s lived in her oodie this past year. They arrived today and I’m so disappointed... they’re really thin without any fluff or fleeciness. Think I’m going to return them.

Hi all I am trying to track down a hat, scarf and gloves set that match, preferably with a pompom for a teen girl. The best I can come up with so far is Superdry but it's coming out as £67, with a 10% discount code SETH10. I've looked at all the other obvious places I can think of - any ideas?

guineapigs · 09/10/2021 20:07

@Freakingflies dd got instax mini and only the pictures taken inside work. Outside it's too light. I wouldn't buy this thing again.

I went to my local Primark today in chelmsford to look for the snuddie and i was very sad to
find they had no Snoopy ones 🙁

I was tempted by the Winnie the Poo and black with white swirls ones but my heart is set on Snoopy. Is it acceptable to go to many Primarks in Essex as it takes to get one? 😂

The ones i saw were £14 and very thick and soft if that helps anyone

cymrumam · 09/10/2021 20:19

@MerylSqueak re the airforce I had to buy my daughter the black version in a size 6. I checked Nike every day and the size is eventually restocked. Much cheaper to buy from the kids section

Ruralretreating · 09/10/2021 20:20

@user1466167893 if she’s into Harry Potter M&S have sets but it may be too young depending on her age

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 09/10/2021 20:23

@User1466167893 Have you tried Boden?We have several hat/scarf/mittens sets from them, at least 2 with pompoms! Always a 20% off code knocking around too.

IggyAce · 09/10/2021 20:23

Lego Ninjago velocity racers £14:40 saving over £10.

ElephantandGrasshopper · 09/10/2021 20:23

Another toyko laundry bundle with three items here: tokyolaundry.com/apps/bundles/bundle/90808 (hoodie, tshirt and underwear).

I've ordered for dp, never used them beforehand so can't comment on the quality.

Blueberryflavour · 09/10/2021 20:25

@NoWordForFluffy I saw that @WhereTheresAHill was offering Lakeland codes earlier today and I asked if I could have their 20% off £50 spend code, no reply as yet so it may be gone already, no worries of course. But they may still have the code? I do have £75 plus in my Lakeland basket already so could save you from yourself ha! But I don’t have a £50 one to swop I’m afraid.

Haudyourwheesht · 09/10/2021 20:27

@user1466167893 Barbour have some nice ones - they're pricey but often sold in places that have discounts regularly - ASOS, House of Fraser, etc. Lovely quality.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/10/2021 20:30

@Blueberryflavour, I also messaged @WhereTheresAHill!

I'm happy to let you have mine if I can get a £50 one from somewhere or I will just spend too much!. Xmas Grin

@user1466167893

Have you tried matalan?

Also M&S have a Harry Potter one up to age 13 (how do they size these things to exact age anyway) if your teen is a younger teen and into Harry Potter

MerylSqueak · 09/10/2021 20:36

Thank you @cymrumam. I did look at the women's when I couldn't find the girl's and my heart sank!

Blueberryflavour · 09/10/2021 20:40

Not a problem @NoWordForFluffy if you want to use the £75 code yourself, there are lots of yummy goodies on there to push the spend up. Most of my spend is a heated rail cover so not really Christmassy.

Puffalicious · 09/10/2021 20:44

Saw this on Facebook for Whittards. I know they're well liked on these threads.

No tricks, only treats. Use code WICKED and receive Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate,
Spiced Pumpkin Chai, AND Chocolate Orange Biscuits when you spend £60.

PostPopper · 09/10/2021 20:48

@Blueberryflavour. @NoWordForFluffy. I have Lakeland codes but I’m not at home and the vouchers are!
I’ll post them later tonight if you still need them by then

SpamIAm · 09/10/2021 20:49

@Marypoppinsisnosaint no particular playmobil bargains but the official playmobil site also sell through eBay so worth checking if a general eBay discount would work? (I also actually got a new playmobil set cheap from a private seller on eBay last year because their child had received a duplicate, so always worth a check!).

SpamIAm · 09/10/2021 20:49

@EvilHerbivore thanks for the straws! Have ordered a couple of packs :)

@Anonymice1

Received our EXIT The Mystery of the Ice Cave advent calendar today. Looking forward to it, hope it’s not too easy..! 🙂
@Anonymice1 did you buy full price or find a deal? I think my husband would really enjoy it as he loves a brain teaser. Thanks!
