I've been awake forever. God knows why. 🙄

It's cold today. I'm going to go and freeze my arse off at the allotment later. The joy!

Morning. DD came bounding into our room at 7.00am demanding that daddy go up the loft for the decorations.

It's going to be a long day!

I'm going Christmas shopping today. Hoping to get the last bits within budget. Ds has football and has ten billion layers on as it's so cold and he's pretty skinny saw some lights last night that were pretty

It's Advent!
Love the tree Fluffy-now the wind has died down, I will be standing ours in a bucket of water outside for a few days.
70 the wreath is just a normal one for the door - my mother always called them advent wreaths. I am thinking about having an Advent candle display this year as I bought some candles in IKEA.
I need to swap mugs for my Christmas collection and add my Christmas crockery to the cupboard. Towels are ready to go, I need to find my apron and Christmas oven gloves, get candles from the loft and then drape the oil cloth over the bannister to get the creases out.

Then DD and I will watch a chyfilm with mince pies, stollen and chai tea

It snowed while I was at the allotment, Puss. And then sleeted, so it all went! 🙄🤣

I made a test batch of Parmesan madeleines when I got back. Oh. My. God. They are divine!

We change our towels on a Monday, so the Christmas ones will come out then. The Christmas loo roll will follow from 1 Dec. It's not really Christmas until you've wiped your bum on the Snowman.

I'm traumatised by that thought, fluffy as my NDNs little lad has just finished building one...

Just checking in from that London We're in the break between part 1 and 2 of the play. We're stopping for cocktail and cake in a little pub called Glassblower I think. Lots of Christmassy lights everywhere and it is bitterly cold here 🥶

26 First day back in work today after covid. Getting up in a freezing house was not fun! We always have a window open at night and DH hates waking in a warm room!

Your dh is like me! Have you got snow constantly? We have. There isn't a lot and the main roads will be fine but it'll be tricky getting out of the village as we have steep narrow hills on all roads out.

Ds played football with someone yesterday who has since tested positive for Covid. Hoping as it was outside he will be ok...

We always have the window open, unless it's stupidly windy! I do have the heating on in the morning though. Could you get a TRV on your bedroom rad to turn it off / down, but allow the rest of the house to heat?

I'd think outside would be safe enough, Wreck. I'm surprised they were playing football yesterday if they'd tested positive so soon afterward though! Must've gone straight to the test centre from football.

It was lft rather than PCR so could still end up negative I guess? Asymptomatic but two tests came up positive.

Day 8 of Self Isolation...DD is currently lying in a big box in an attempt to stop DH taking it to the tip.
