We're putting our new Christmas bedding on this week. The kids tomorrow, and us on Sunday.

Currently working on knitted gnomes. It looks like I'm going to have to buy some more wool to finish their hats so I'll do that tomorrow on the way home from dropping DS at school. The weather forecast for Saturday that I saw on Tuesday (windy with the possibility of some snow) meant I decided to change my Tesco click and collect order to tomorrow and also move my butcher's order. It is going to piss down tomorrow and the weather for Saturday doesn't look as bad as it did earlier in the week 🤦🏻‍♀️

Does your DH mean that you won't have a conservatory once the winds are done?! They are set to be 40-50mph, but we've had winds of that speed what feels like every month for the last year! It's a perfect stay-indoors and do the trees kind of day.

Yeah, it's the wind. I think we/NDN might lose a fence panel or 2 if it gets near 50. DH has been called out in the middle of the night during storms to loads of dangerous buildings over the years, so he sees the worst of it - understandable tbh.

70 my traditional, manic hunt for presents I put somewhere safe is a highlight of my wrapping sessions and sometimes means I find nice chocolate randomly in June.
I am out of isolation today (officially it finished for yesterday but I felt weird going out so quickly) and working from home so plan to make a lunchtime trip to IKEA to get a cheap tree. I will then stand it in water for a few days. No snow here but the cold and all the Christmas films mean I am feeling v festive!

My mum would find stuff stashed at the back of a wardrobe or under her bed for weeks after Christmas too.

I've done my usual Friday mooch round the M&S food hall and I'm now killing some time so that I can stop at the wool shop on my way home. It's raining quite heavily now and it's a bit unpleasant.

My DD had 2 fence panels blow down in the last lot of winds and they were "fixed" bodged back into place by the builders. She's fully expecting them to come down again in the high winds forecast for the weekend.

I'm really looking forward to my London trip, although a little anxious about how busy it's going to be.
We're staying a little way out of the centre so hoping tubes and stuff are back up and running!
I haven't been to London since I was a teen (and then I was more interested in bars and the gig I was there for) so I haven't really seen the touristy stuff. My lovely friend is putting together our plan for Monday before we get the train back and I think she's including some Christmas lights as well as a stop by Buckingham Palace

Today after work I need to make a list of everything i need to do / buy / make to be ready for Christmas. I don't think there's a lot really but my brain feels so full I need to get it all out and into one place!

Oh I forgot, I went to Morrison's yesterday to get a click and collect clothes order and picked up a bottle of clementine Buck's Fizz and a bottle of Bellini as they both looked so nice 🥂
