Morning.
Autumn might be here, but I've got some Cricket on the telly😻...My money is on Ireland beating UAE. Grin

WreckTangled · 07/10/2021 07:49

I've run out of tampons and loo roll. Today is not a good day.

There's a fuel station a few miles away with petrol but it's in the wrong direction to where I'm going which is a pain.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 07/10/2021 08:12

Wreck nightmare Shock I once ran out of Heavy Duty pads...DH had to go to Morrisons for me while I stayed at home sat on the loo Blush The cats ate a lot of Dreamies they beg for them when I'm on the loo while he was out. 🤦‍♀️

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2021 08:40

Search all handbags for tampons. I have a pencil case of tampons and pads which used to be in my work bag and is now hanging about! Plus a few odd ones in other bags.

I still have my Brexit stash a few boxes lying around and tend to buy a new box as I start a box. Plus I have 4 packs of bog roll I'm refusing to use, just in case!

I've got one so will just have to pop to boots between my visits. We got four loo rolls last Saturday evening and they're all gone! Ridiculous. I'm going to start rationing Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2021 09:10

I think the kids eat loo roll here. 4 would last about 6 days. If that!

If you can get to an Aldi, the £2.59 9 pack stuff is good!

Or the Farmfoods 18 pack - 4 packs for about £11 or £12. Lasts us for ages even when there were 5 of us. The one in the white and lilac packaging is nice and soft.

Thanks for the new thread Fluffy

The last Farmfoods email I had said that the four packs of loo roll have gone up to £13! 😱😱

I get our butter from there. It's a bargain!

OP posts:
TheWoollybacksWife · 07/10/2021 09:46

It's still a good deal at £13. I've just checked Tesco. Their own brand stuff would cost £22.80 - nearly £10 more than farmfoods for 72 rolls. It was even more bargainous when DD2 worked there and we had staff discount!

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2021 09:56

It is. We do buy those ones, but only if DH's parents also need some, as 4 packs is quite bulky!

Thanks for the new thread Fluffy! I've filled the old one - and put bonus Bruce pics in because I was so late.
Will also add one here for you Xmas Grin

Annoying about the fuel Wreck

We bought toilet rolls in Costco - I can't remember the price but we got 45 rolls which last us ages.
Agree with a fluffy to check car / handbags / make up bags for tampons. I always kept a little bag of them in my handbag and at least one in the make up bag I take out with me, plus I'm sure there are others dotted around. Although I've bought some reusable pads to try next time AF appears....

Woke with a horrible headache which is kind of shifting (very slowly) but could do without it today tbh.

Nah Aldi is 20 miles away. It'll have to be Tesco express Hmm will pop into boots too. Wonder if they've got the Christmas magazine in store yet.

Now I'm working five days I'm having to get food delivered so can't go to Aldi, it's annoying as I have some favourite things they do.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2021 10:49

@CrazyBaubles, what did you get with your World of Cross Stiching? Mine is here, but I'm not sure it's complete!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 07/10/2021 10:50

I couldn't park in town so had to go to Sainsbury's. Traffic is a nightmare.

CrazyBaubles · 07/10/2021 11:32

Fluffy I got a calendar with 6 forever friends patterns in and a pull out which had a nutcracker ballet pattern on.
No kits or anything - not sure if there should have been any?
I read through the first few pages then had to put it down due to being too tired to concentrate yesterday.

What did you get?

CrazyBaubles · 07/10/2021 11:33

I know it can be ££ but I love Sainsbury's Wreck

WreckTangled · 07/10/2021 11:44

This one isn't nice crazy. It's tiny (not as small as a local but still very small) so hardly has anything and is more expensive than normal Sainsbury's.

CrazyBaubles · 07/10/2021 12:27

Oh that's rubbish. There's one like that in Cardiff - bloody tiny and everything is £££ - way more than if you can go to one of the bigger stores.
I don't think they should be allowed to do that tbh.

Lucky you😁
My postie didn't call here. 🤬🤷‍♀️
Crazy I think you've had what it's supposed to come with. There isn't a kit with this one from what I've seen, just the calendar and the Nutcracker pattern.

Not that I know as mine isn't here...BUT I did see it in Morrisons yesterday.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2021 13:25

Our Sainsbury's is small, barely above a Local. It's called a 'Superstore' which is a total lie! 🤣 The stock range is shite, but it's the same price as a bigger store / online.

I got the same, Crazy. I prefer kits!

Puss, they replied to me on Facebook saying it was the HGV shortage causing problems and they've been posted this week.

Fluffy, at least you and Crazy have them...maybe I'm next 🤞
I wonder if Royal Mail has probs with deliveries?

lachy · 07/10/2021 17:22

Checking in so I can find you later.

Going to have a browse of the rest of the Christmas Thread 🎄
